Part 3 made it popular internationally for the first time ever with the OVA dubbed release, before that there really weren't any jojo fan outside of Japan.
The 2012 anime adaptation made it popular again, mostly because of BT. It brought JJBA to a new group of fans. SC and DU had made their share too but most animeonly have watched those seasons after the first one.

Even putting the jojofag bias aside, it's an OP that completely catches the entire tone of part 4. All the OP's sound good. The first 3 encapsulated the parts perfectly and all sound amazing.

The second OP for Part 3 was also very good but it kinda sounded retarded at times with all the stupid "STAH PRATINAH" and "ORA ORA ORA" lines, like an obsessed fan made it or some shit. But it was still great to listen to and the DIO scene was absolutely godtier.

CNBT was a very big shift in atmosphere but wasn't bad. Didnt feel the same level of anticipation as the previous ones. The EDM version was shit. Chase was good and people shit on it too much for being too "generic". It was sounded great and was exciting to listen to but I can get where people come from when they say it doesnt fit Jojo.

Great Days is the absolute shit and the remix is even better but I still like the original 3 from previous parts more.

I really love what they did in Great Days even the lyrics match up with what's shown on the op.

Such as when the singer says "With this gathered power, go beyond even time." it shows the duwang gang crew symbols shaped like a clock and when it says beyond it pans out to see the spirits of the deceased pointing at them back.

Great Days did very poor for connecting to the series as the other two did. The song itself was very generic, the visuals did not line up with the tone the arcs were heading, and the attempt at a sound effect version just did not have the same punch as the other three. To top it all off, the Bites the Dust version was seen a mile away, had very poor editing in its original form, and overall was a very poor attempt to recapture what Sono Chi no Kiuoku did unexpectedly and did well. Even Chase was better for the series and would have fit very well for the tone DiU was ending with, while Great Days only fits the Goodbye, Morioh Town. The best DiU was going to get happened with Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, which fit Part 4 perfectly with both song and animation.

That being said, the best OP this year isn't hard to look for as long as you watched the best show this year.

Would be if it wasn't for the shitty remix that of Bizarre Town that happened for a few episodes. Plus the lyrics of Chase brought it back up for me.

Still a pretty good opening it just has tough competition in a series full of amazing ones.

I don't have a problem with Chase except for the vocals, that is some bad singing, but it otherwise sounds (and looks) like it goes with Naruto.

The first thing I thought when seeing and hearing CNBT was Persona 4 OPs. It isn't the exact style of music or OP, but I somehow got the vibe that they were kind of thinking of Persona 4 OPs when making it. It's colorful and a bit of dancing, but the colorfulness could also be said for Bloody Stream as well.
