In Japan back then that was pretty much adult. Even after the war was over, lots of parents told their sons to get out and find a job. Anyway, he was completely to blame. He even had money in the bank he could have used, but instead he wanted to be the "perfect husband" for his little sister and do everything himself.

Who would be hiring him then? No one has fucking money, he actually went to work with the farmer guy and he could only pay him in rice, and one day he couldn't even afford that. Also that money in the bank was his salary which the government was delaying because of wartime. For a time he really had fucking nothing to eat but frogs, and since they were starving and couldn't think straight they eat dirt because it's absolute fucking shit to have that burning pain in your stomach. Be grateful the girl died in a more or less peaceful way, they could have made worms come out of her mouth and nose, which would be natural since they ate shit.

Why would it have to? There are plenty of movies (even anime) that deal specifically with the bombs. Fuck, it's practically the only thing they focus on when it comes to WW2 media.
