SS+ was an anime original season with some that continues after each girl's ending in the first season. Now it's couples doing couples things, like going on dates or spending time together.

It's definitely not bad, so I'm not sure why people are complaining. You get to see some more characters from the VN that didn't make it into the first season too.
Ayatsuji's SS+ route was especially good and it also fixes Rihouko's ending.

SS+ was great sometimes and was mediocre other times. I just rewatched Haruka's SS and SS+ routes and while SS was great (as it always is), there are a few things in the SS+ story that were somewhat annoying. I mean, it's quite heavily hinted at the end of the SS arc is that they slept together in that hotel room yet Junichi acts like a generic "perverted" anime virgin in the whole SS+ story. I like the overarching subplot of those two episodes and the resolution was a blast, but still, there's a bit of a disconnect I feel between the main arc and the SS+ arc.

This reminds me of what bugged me a lot during Ai's SS+ arc: they've been dating for a year at its start, and Junichi still call's her by her last name (even though he did call her Ai in the end of the SS arc) and she still calls him Senpai.
