Typical Ranpo, really. Twenty Faces likes forcing these sorts of confrontations, throws banter that gets people pissy, then makes his escape while everyone else is weepy or buttflustered, having succeeded in making them break down from how they regard each other. That's how he tortures Akechi, mostly, by taking his "routine" and perverting it in such a fashion it can't be seen as "routine" again. The fallout from this Hanasaki escapade should be pretty tremendous, no matter how they try and play it off like it's back to business; the field's been changed and no one's going to be able to see past it now. This ride's only halfway over.
