I've been working on this for a bit for you anon. Usually I never upload what I draw for these threads because I usually never finish them but I somehow found enough strength to do it for you. It's Monday so there's no point of requesting her anymore but I'm curious if anyone knows what it's called when there's light in an image but there's no light source. If that makes sense. Or rather when the light source is too poor but the area is well illuminated. I'd ask /ic/ but I don't want to get yelled.

Something like the island on the pic or this picture. No light source or weak light but it's well lit. I've always had the idea of night time deserts in my head where the sand is white with moonlight and you can see everything for miles. Don't know what it's called or if it's even "allowed" to do things like that but I really like it.

Yes it is, especially away from the ambient light of the city. There is a clear light source which is the moon, what you were describing initially is more like a soft light (think overcast lighting).
