I am going to guess Speed King will fuse with Dolomite to create a new Stand or at least an improved version of SK. I think Jobin's scene with Pond guy is a Flash Back and Jobin has already fused with Pond Guy by the time Josuke meets up with the by. I am guessing Dolomite and by extension the new Speed King's ability is that he can control pepole.

Nah, that's only part of it. JoJo villains are notoriously broken as fuck. Even Valentine, whose ability didn't involve time whatsoever, was among the strongest

Dolomites controls people via an unexplained force. Speedking creates heat in a very localized region. Put 'em together and what do you have? It doesn't have to be the same. Plunder isn't anything like storage or bubble bombs.

I disagree completely, I do think Giorno should have done more and had more potential that wasn't expanded upon but the part is fully carried by the qualities of the great cast, some of the best Stand designs and abilities we've had, a very interesting villain and minor villain group and arguably some of the best fights in the series.

That is much better than anything parts 1-3 had. Not saying it's perfection but it's a part people don't give enough credit to. It's one of the only parts where you could argue there wasn't a single bad fight either, every fight had more great parts than bad parts.

Friendly reminder that Speedking Crimson will resemble Speedking with Dolomite's bone pattern hatched across in a way that resembles the original King Crimson. But that's not really the case, he's built up exceptionally well throughout the part and unlike DIO, when he actually shows up all the intimidation surrounding his character actually makes sense considering the first time we "see" him he just straight-up murders Bruno.

Every time he showed up you had that feeling that someone was going to get fucked up, he had a strong presence despite not showing up fully until the last third.

Also I'd argue his final battle wasn't bad. The race for the arrow was much more interesting that your typical villain showdown and was fucking bizarre, it felt like BTD in terms of the mind-games and tension but also felt as dynamic as all the other part 5 battles.

I don't know, I'd argue that the themes and philosophical undertones and messages in part 7 and 8 are relatively deep enough to actually take into consideration. Also the writing with character relationships especially is above your standard shounen. People don't give enough credit for the series' writing.

Part 7 is written pretty well and I haven't read part 8 in a while so I wouldn't know but it seems good. But it's not particularly deep. The characters are more relatable than in most shounen, even though they're completely ridiculous. The heroes and villains both feel more human in those parts, and their struggles feel more real.

I'd say read part 8. It's shaping up to be the best-written part, the emotional struggles do feel genuine and all the characters don't feel like they're one-trait characters. Everything relating to Gappy too has been great, and with all the speculation on the main villain this may be the best part in terms of writing details that foreshadow the plot later on. Fucking toy robots, man.

And I suppose I see your point on the final fight, but I was genuinely impressed by how terrifying and cruel Diavolo's fate was shown to be. Plus that shot at the end of Gio on the Don's seat was god-tier.

And part 8 has been largely hit or miss for me up to this point, with the speculation being the most fun part. Gappy is okay, I don't really care for him. I like the Higatishikatas. The stands are similarly only okay with one or two exceptions (Vitamin C). The flashback stuff with Josefumi and Kira was cool. The fight with Damo was amazing. Things seem to be finally picking up, I can feel it. It's the same feeling I had when Valentine suddenly turned up swole as fuck. Things are about to change, big time.

I see your point again on the in-between parts, I suppose I really would have liked an actual throwdown between GE and King Crimson similar to the scuffles Killer Queen and Crazy Diamond had.

For me the part picked my interest up greatly when Rock Humans showed up, though technically it's kept me on edge ever since I saw the Flashback Man panel and have been anticipating what Araki will do with him for ages now. The hype over this new chapter and how it seems like after Damo everything's going balls-to-the-walls has me hyped as hell that this part might turn out to be the best if it keeps up this momentum.

But there was plenty, the entire fight revolving around who the fuck had King Crimson was genuinely tense, and when Diavolo started picking off people like flies it became a battle of "who the fuck's going to die next?"

It was unique, maybe it could have been better-executed but I like when Araki tries to stray from the normal formula of a huge throwdown battle, that's why I greatly enjoyed it. Plus seeing Diavolo's many fucked up deaths was great.

I just wish they didn't butcher Killer Queen's design by making it inconsistent as fuck. The best thing about Killer Queen is how fucking stoic it is. He commits these horrible atrocities which is emphasized by his stand not giving a fuck whatsoever. It's the little things that really bring out Part 4 as a whole that David has failed to address, maybe they'll get a better budget for Part 5.

Same here. While Kira is still my least favorite villain (and I like him a lot still), the anime made me appreciate Killer Queen, especially Bites The Dust, a lot more.

I love the way Killer Queen is portrayed in a way that separates it from virtually every other Stand and how much each of it's powers has been depicted. I like that it has it's own unique sound effects, particularly that KRAAAAAAAAAARK sound effect that accompanies it's explosions or summons.
At first I didn't like the red eyes but seeing how the anime created them as a deliberate stylistic choice to be incorporated later in BTD I've grown to actually like them a lot.
I like that it's even a bit more expressive, which is something I like in Stands.
I've never really felt like Bites The Dust was a particularly terrifying ability even though I've always loved the finale but seeing it in motion in the anime, seeing that sequence of Hayato falling into a giant KQ eye as if he was falling into the pits of hell, while the smaller KQ stares at him unexpressively, it just made me appreciate it a lot more.

When DIO is on screen, he owns the entire scene. Its all about him. Which sadly left The World a bit neglected.

Given how the part 4 anime have done perfect justice to Killer Queen in the department of showing its ability and the sounds they've used for it, I can't fucking wait to see how they show King Crimson's ability off. Hope that they invert the screen's colors or color everything in a deep crimson tint like in ASB and show the world around breaking down, sorta like pic related as the ability happens.

What would the sound effect be? The sound effects they've used for KQ have been infinitely better than The World's, and the screech they used for when BTD appeared in Josuke and the gangs' eyes was absolutely terrifying.

Also one thing I fucking really hope they do for the part 5 anime is give every Stand unique sound effects. That's a little detail I really like about the part 4 anime, Stands like Highway Star and Harvest got unique summon/de-summon sounds.

For King Crimson, I want them to just go all out in terms of depicting it. Speaking of part 5 and how the anime might handle it, the 7-page MUDAMUDA needs to be the best beatdown in the entire adaptation so far. Seriously, make it a full minute, have it start out as a normal punch-rush then have everything slow down and have the audio distort as GE's lifeshot takes effect in Ciocolatta, then show the punches from his perspective as his limbs fucking shatter with an X-Ray shot showing all of his bones. I'm fucking ready man, part 5 anime when? God it makes me happy realizing just how lucky we got having a studio like DP for the adaptation. Just look at anime like BNHA, sure they have a high-budget famous studio behind them but the direction of the anime and the way they've handled it is such a slogfest compared to the style of the JJBA anime.

What did people think of the last episode?
KQ looked great, but there were some weird moments like Kira awkwardly running away, the distance seeming wrong at times and just something about it seeming a bit off in anime form. Maybe it's not so noticeable in the manga but it's a bit weird when the fight ends up feeling slow paced when it takes three minutes from the bubble's launch til impact.
It was still bretty gud, but a step down in direction compared to the two episodes before it which were 10/10s.
