I feel like the "promise" morsecode book is the peter pan story, while the mythological book is a story about demons/monsters/ghouls eating humans, which Minerva probably used to try and elude the kids into figuring out piece by piece what happened in 2015 that changed the world by having them read the book and give them a rough idea on what happened.
