The free government money and the Kickstarter bucks have all run out. The TV series might have some nice painterly backgrounds but the actual animation is going to be Hannah Barbera-tier.

I hope it's not fire. He's done a lot of fire lately and it always looks like a half-assed videogame particle effect rather than something impressive. It's disappointing.

Actually now that I think about it, there were drawings by Yoh on Koh's doujin circle's twitter not so long ago, maybe that was a sign. I don't think they've collaborated since White Album.

And Toshifumi Akai. Do we know if Nishigori is on board? He sucessfully co directed Idolmaster with an ex-KyoAni alum...

It's going to be shit in the second half just like KLK. I swear KLK was going amazingly until they hit episode 13:

All I wanted was to have Satsuki continue on her conquest to beat everyone, only to be betrayed by Best Mom, causing her to form a shaky alliance with Ryuuko to get her throne back from mommy. All without any sort of shitty alien twist.
