Is the anime industry bubble going to burst soon? It seems like nearly every season will have a show or two that faces huge production problems whereby they end up getting the broadcast delayed like Long Riders.

The industry seems to be at its limit to cope with the sheer number of shows per season.

You can always count on KyoAni, though. Even their low budget shows look better than 90% of anything the rest of the industry shits.
>>

How do you know which of their shows are low-budget?
>>
Literally no, the industry is more profitable than ever and there is still easy markets to reach.
>>
It's not the industry, it's just ACTAS.
>>
>>150857449
But how many shows are truly profitable? Nowadays, a handful of shows get the lion's share of sales and leaves pittance for the rest.

That aside, I don't see this lasting if we get shows running into such blatant production issues. There's no way anime staff can deal with one rushed project after another.

You're an idiot.

It's literally just ACTAS. Check your source and stop making shit up.

And Mappa, and SHAFT, and Diomedia, and WIT, A-1, Silver Link, TMS, Studio Shuka.
>>
>>150857675
Have you forgotten about God Eater? How about Brave Witches, or 91 Days? Not everything will be an ACTAS-level disaster but it's not rare to see shows being subject to a surprise recap episode, and it's pretty normal now to have shows struggle with the last few episodes, resulting in the later half looking like shit.

Most of them are profitable because the producers know how to make money out of them in different ways.
Heck, even shows that by themselves sold low amounts of anime discs can still turn a profit by selling licensing rights for them to domestic and foreign streaming services by bundling it up with licenses for other shows that are more popular with the target demographic overseas.
Spam-producing shows actually makes more money than ever.

As for the shows themselves having technical problems in form of delays or badly drawn scenes (colloquially called QUALITY in /a/-jargon), that is a problem that has plagued the anime industry since always, because they have a tight schedule to follow.
Anime studios slave away for anime production companies.

That is the way the industry works.
>>
>>150857987
Anon, I think that was intended to look cartoony and over the top.
>>
>>150857987
There is literally nothing wrong with exaggeration in animation.
>>
>>150858004
Sure, I know about the increasing profits from streaming rights but studios hardly ever see a dime from this sort of thing. Did you know ACTAS actually lost money over the production of the GuP movie? Studios rarely ever take part in profit sharing and are mere contractors paid to do the job, nothing more.

Tight production schedules are nothing new either, but it seems worse these days with episodes requiring more animators than before to get the job done. Really, episode credits from a 90s show are so short in comparison to the wall of names in a modern production.
>>
>>150858212
There was barely any animation in TV anime from the past.

That was their won fault. They had the option of taking a percentage of the profit, but they choose the "safe" option of money upfront.

Anti-KinoAni fags grasping at straws

The problem is there are too many studios wanting to make money which causes a surplus in the industry. Also, there are too many studios picking up shitty LN's and VN's to adapt because it's "moe" or a harem and they lose money when it doesn't sell because they thought they were going to make a quick buck. Studios need to take their time and find the next big thing instead of taking what they can get.
>>
>>150858431
>if you acknowledge something shitty it means you're anti-Kyoani
>>
>>150858571
That's not shitty, thought. The way she runs is supposed to be comedic.
>>
Anime grows 10% a year
>>

Studios don't decide on picking up shitty LNs and VNs to adapt, they're hired to adapt them. And they have to take those jobs, because those are the only offers that the producers are giving.
If studios don't work, they don't make money.
To even get the job, the studios have to underbid each another because of course, the production committees will try to hire the cheapest yet acceptable enough workforce to minimize costs and maximize profits for themselves.
And even then, most of those studios cannot survive through that, and rely on being hired by other studios to do outsourced work.

The studios all help each another.
