I haven't read manga, so can't really compare, but almost everything after the plane scene in second season was underwhelming. I can see how it works out for an hour and something movie, but not so great for tv show.
Almost every target on the list is skipped so the 'woooah, he's on a killing spree' sense is completely gone for me.
And that whole subplot with americans and it's resolution was stupid as fuck. I don't mind using it in some way, but was it necessary to make us agents so 'evil' just for the sake of creating mirror images for Tosaki and Shimomura? Fuck that.
