Nah. While the american soundtrack is shit for quiet moments, it's godlike for fights. Hell, the original ost has nothing that beats any of vegeta's themes aside perhaps Battle Point Unlimited, Solid State Scouter and the insert song that plays when gohan transforms vs cell

Jap soundtrack really does get hyped more than it deserves, and shit on far less than much better stuff like Yuki Kaijura's work here, simply because it was the original and something else replaced it. American Dub Tracks like the Super Saiyan 3 Transformation theme get hyped simply because people enjoy them; it's only a shame that the dub's music went through an improvement in time for DBZ's weakest arc, which was also fortunate enough to get Super Buu's Theme and Babidi's Theme. The only musical change from the Trunks and Bardock OVAs that was bad was the switching out of Hikari at the end of Bardock.

a lot of reasons, its one of the best parts of the show
>it pulled a U-turn on everyone's contextual expectations, so the hype of just being like "what the fuck who even is this dude wrecking shit up rn!?" was sick
>it kindled a lot of interest plot wise and allowed the story to keep moving forward
>there was a lot of detail in those scenes comparatively and the animation quality was on the better side, so visually its a stellar moment, and its probably the only time trunk's design didn't look like shit. He just kind of looks weird and not cool in all incarnations that follow
