sooooooo, if they had children, which way would they fall?

Serious answer: conception would be impossible in because the sperm would never reach the egg and even if it does make contact, it needs to stay attached to fertilize.
So no, they had to rely on test tube babies to get results. And, if the gravity effect is genetic, then the more dominant gene would take precedence. And since most children carry more genes of their mother than their father, then chances are, the kid will walk the same road as his mother

i dont think thats how it would work.

Is this confirmed?
I was too lazy to do research and just assumed that the movie was too awful for trying to make sense out of it

Sperm cells have a flagellum they use to swim, as it moves upwards toward the oocyte and meets it in a fallopian tube. Vaginal contractions also help move sperm upwards. Reversed gravity shouldn't in any way prevent conception; impragnation often happens while women are standing or walking around.
The baby's cells will be made up of Patema-gravityaka normalmatter - only a minuscule amount, half of the original zygote cell's DNA will be Age's, and in mitosis it's copied by Patema-gravity DNA anyways - so that's the way the baby will logically fall.
People can, however, reduce their mass and completely reverse their gravity by drinking opposite gravity water for a few weeks, as the human body is 70% water by weight. Radioisotope studies show that it takes about 16 days for nearly all of the water in a human body to be replaced by new molecules. If 30% of your body (organs, muscle, fat etc) point one way and 70% (water) the other way, you'll experience reverse gravity with an effect weight of 40% your original weight (organs replace their cells way more slowly). Gravity reversal seems a far more hazardous experiment than impregnation in Patemaverse, although in a best case scenario the side effects might just be limited to you feeling funny once your nervous system realizes that your internal organs have no idea what the fuck is going on and where they want to go.

And, worst case scenario, you'd pass out constantly during the first weeks because the blood has an easier time going to and staying on your upper half than it does to your lower half. You'd have to lay down constantly to not feel the effects nearly as much.
