Aside from the new Mimi information and the last 5 minutes of the episode, this one didn't have any of the magic from the first 9. I realize that the magical adventures in PI are pretty much done (as opposed to adventures in SUFFERING in PI, feat. Mimi), but everything we already predicted was explained so blatantly and in such simple terms that I felt like I was watching a different show. After episode 9, I thought there were gonna stick the landing, but it's looking real shaky now.

I love this show to death, but I'll be very sad if it keeps going the way it is. Not even disappointed, just sad.

On one hand, a kiss would be a surprising step out of the mold for a show like this, but on the other, they already brought up the possibility of romantic love directly, indisputably, between Cocona and Papika, so we can be pretty sure this really is a love story and not just shipping undertones. If Yayaka had absolutely no intention of telling her only friend about the fragment, then Yuyu's reveal might've hit harder. But Yayaka was about to tell Cocona something immediately before the raid on FlipFlap. I figured she was about to tell Cocona about the fragment, and didn't want Yuyu telling her because she wanted Cocona to hear it from a friend before anyone else, along with using that moment come clean with her. She was interrupted in such a contrived way.

That's the thing I liked about the episode, that it brought Cocona to a place where she's forced into a corner, and sets up a challenge in trying to redeem most if not all of the characters on the good side.

I only hope that they continue going down this path. If they don't commit, if it turns out Mimi is just an easy safety blanket instead of a tragedy to resolve, then I'm going to feel deflated by the setup that episode 10 appeared to try to do.

I see a lot of people trying to force a Papicoco ending despite the reveal that Papika is in her 30s at the earliest, and is in love with Cocona's mom.

Let me ask you this: if it came down to Papika having to choose between Mimi surviving and Cocona surviving, who would she choose? You could argue that she would realize Cocona is the "right" choice, and decide to leave Mimi to her fate as much as it would hurt her to do so. However, there would be a hesitation. That hesitation is key. She has another person she cares about just as much, if not more so, than Cocona.

If presented with the same choice, Yayaka chooses Cocona 10 times out of 10, with no hesitation required. It doesn't have to be Mimi either. Put anyone or anything up against Cocona and they will lose hard in Yayaka's eyes. Her comrades, her mission, her sole reason for being, even her own flesh and bone; she has already given everything up for Cocona's sake. Indeed her life is now in Cocona's hands for better or worse.

I know Yayaka has made mistakes just like every character in this series. She should have told Cocona the truth much earlier. Despite this, Yayaka would give Cocona the full and undivided love that Cocona desperately needs and deserves. When Flip Flappers nears its conclusion, I ask you all to take a good long look at where the characters stand and you'll see that no one has Cocona's best interests in mind more than Yayaka.
