I think Cranberry has my favorite design of them all, I specially like her stockings. Her soft voice is wonderful and soothing. I didn't expect her to be a battle junkie though. Thinking about it this is the first actual fight so far, I can't really count LaPu vs Ruler's Team as a real fight.

And I'm not sure what to truly make of Nana. She's either super dumb, hopelessly naive or actually just a extreme goody-two-shoes. There's something wrong with her considering she wants to be protected by her prince and put her hopes on Conman Doraemon just like that just to keep that fantasy of hers going on.

I caught up with the novel to where I've watched from the anime.

You guys were right about Ruler. In the anime it looked like Mary got to her just once just to be an alpha bitch but in the novel I found out that Mary WAS Ruler's teacher and she spent months under her being abused and humiliated and hurt and more. This makes her even more pitiful. She also seemed genuinely fond of Swim Swim which makes the result even more tragic, as Swim Swim also truly loved Ruler but her desire to emulate and become "Ruler" is what made her take the choice to kill Ruler. It's messed up.

Something else I'm appreciating a lot if seeing what's going on on the head of the characters, specially Ripple. She seems like just a generic dark and broody edgelord magical girl in the anime but she's much more interesting here, specially her thoughts about Top Speed who she seems to cherish even if she doesn't wanna admit it.

The novel has tons of small details the anime omits but the anime has also expanded on some other things. The novel goes super fast too. 5 episodes on the anime are 3 chapters here. They both complement each other very well.
