Does anyone else think that he was on the verge of leaving Yuuri during Onsen on Ice?
That was probably when he was the most confused about his sudden change in attitude. That was the period where Yuuri was at his shiest and didn't reciprocate his affection at all, or not in a manner that could be seen. Viktor likely thought that Yuuri was merely playing him back then or felt embarrassed of what Viktor likely considered the most fun night he has experienced in years.
If you re-watch the episode, he drank until dawn for SOME reason and he acted strangely standoffish when Yuuri hugged him, as if not really believing him.
But then Yuuri actually channeled his inner Eros and Viktor saw the same boy that had charmed him so much and that was when his demeanor did a 180 spin, he suddenly looked really happy and got touchy. I have to disagree. If anything, it reveals that he is probably nervous about Yuuri losing. At first I thought he was pensive and serious but after learning about the banquet, it would be hard for him not to kinda freak out that there is a real possibility that he has to leave Yuuri behind.
