How many times have you rewatched LOGH?

nice blog

i've watched it 2 times.
im 70 episodes in and i never want it to end
One of the few anime to legitimately make me cry.
The only one to make me cry twice.
And definitely the one that made me laugh the most times in awe of a character's bombast.
I will treasure these feels forever.
thought it was pretty shitty and way too long
like some sped through some history book and tried make it "deep"
To completion, I've watched it twice. I've started rewatching it about 5 other times though, and gone and rewatched specific episodes every once in a while.
i think 5 times
the last time i watched it i just skipped through any episode i could remember too well or that just wasn't that good and i quite enjoyed doing it that way

Not your thing clearly. It's not really a lot of peoples thing.
I love it the fuck out of it, but I don't know why a it makes a bunch of "essential anime" lists. I wouldn't show it to someone as their first anime. Maybe if they grew up on scifi.

LOGH is fucking dogshit

Not to jerk it off too much, but it's pretty much universally regarded as one of, if not the best anime in existence. Even on MAL where everyone has shit taste and only watches entry level stuff, it's in the top 10.
And it's not because it's got a mindblowing premise or has some amazing gimmick to it that attracts people or anything. It's just consistently high quality. It's well written. Being based on an actual novel and not LNshit or manga, it's a few leagues above most anime by default.
Generally, things that don't rely on gimmicks and are just consistently high quality are going to appeal to the greatest amount of people.

It's hard to take your opinion seriously with that gif.

>things that don't rely on gimmicks
Are you for real?
Only seen it over and while it was really good, I have too much shit to do to watch a long series like that again.
Hell I haven't even seen the movies/side stories.

For example, Death Note is a gimmick. It's a really cool premise, but it's popular only because that premise is interesting, even if the writing is kind of lackluster.
On the other hand, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is popular because it has good writing. The number 1 anime right now on MAL is Kimi no Na wa, which is popular because it has good art and animation.
There are two paths to popularity. Interesting gimmicks, or quality. LoGH generally chooses the latter.

>The number 1 anime right now on MAL is Kimi no Na wa, which is popular because it has good art and animation
It's popular because Japan likes it. I doubt the majority of the people on MAL who have rated it have even seen it.

>plan to watch this shit
>realize it has 110 episodes
This is gonna be a long summer vacation.

I've rewatched up to episode 5 about 4 times but never continued past there because I usually fall asleep
So the 2017 series will be about him and Prince Alec, right?

it's a remake
All the way through? I think three times in total.
I rewatch specific episodes and some of the OVAs a bunch though.
>>150637348
Was that confirmed? I heard it was a completely new project.
>>150637474
>Production I.G's website does not confirm if its anime project is the same one announced last year during a stage production of the novels. At that time, Tanaka's secretary Hirofumi Adachi relayed the stage play producer's comments that the new anime would not be a remake of the earlier anime, but another anime adaptation of the original novels with a new staff.
Not a remake, but a re-adaption of the same novels. So kind of a remake.

Same. Or, rather, specific scenes. I also really like watching The Mutineer OVA.

I dropped it afterThe magician never returned
It was so senseless and wasteful. I just couldn't take it, and I figured it was not the least of what was to come.
