What does /a/ think about Masaaki Yuasa?

Personally I think he's one of the GOAT. He's never made a bad show (although some are just average).

Enjoyed TTG but haven't seen much else by him.

He is definitely great, but 4chan rides his dick so hard it might just break off

/a/ likes him, IRC hates him

I think he's probably a top 5 because there's always something very expressive and unique about his visuals and the themes from his stuff are something slightly less cliched. He obviously has a more mature audience in mind.

A vast portion of /a/ is against him though, split into kneejerk contrarians and people who honestly think it's artsy pretentious bullshit.

His storyboards are boring. He isn't really imaginative when it comes to transitioning apart from Kaiba. He's decent but nowhere near the master of the current generation (ie: Hosoda, Yamada and Katabuchi).
