Here's my guess:
R3 will deal with a Britannia in decline, due to the release of all its colonies. As it declines in power, it will reach out to form diplomatic relations with other states, but fail because the other countries aren't quick to forget the shit Britannia has put them through. Maybe have a rising power rival Britannia in power and create sort of a cold war type setting, where peace exists but its incredibly fragile and could break at the drop of a hat. Compound that with insurgent groups and proxy wars in former colonies and I think that it could be pretty interesting. Either that or Lelouch becomes God.
