The over arcing plot is kinda weak though. Who gives a fuck about one serial killer? Literally every single villain from the past arcs were millions of times more evil and brutal. Other than that though Arc 4 is definitely the easiest to just pick up and enjoy.

Let's start with the stand design, the stand design for this part is just weak, the main cast of stands are just bland to begin with, Golden Experience looks stupid and its powers are just so broad and poorly defined that it can just about do anything, which is a shame because I really like the idea of the stand, Sticky Fingers just looks too much like Golden Experience in the "person wearing a bike helmet" department and its stand power I honestly just didn't find that interesting and I never felt was used in that clever a way and more just "Oh Sticky Fingers can also unzip that", it never felt like either stand had real boundaries of what it could do but could just do whatever was needed of them and they both looked so weedy that I never really bought that they were capable of giving a satisfying beatdown on someone, it just kind of looked dumb whenever they did. We also had Moody Blues which I really liked and would loved to have seen used creatively in a fight (by recording someones moves and playing them back) but it just never went anywhere as a stand, neither did Purple Haze but I never thought it was that great of a stand to begin with, it just seems like a shallow idea that was a 1 trick pony, Aerosmith was just a lame idea for a stand that was basically just a remote control plane with a gun and Sex Pistols was just a repackaged Emporer, I like the personality it was given but it never really won me over

Next the fights just weren't that good, they mostly just felt formulaic, I'm not sure why people rave about the fights so much of this part. Outside of a couple (like Oasis, Beach Boys or Kraft Work) , I mean, can you really say fights like Black Sabbath, Clash/Talking Heads, Little Feet, Notorious B.I.G were up there with the best of the series? I can't, they all just felt like an enemy stand user was using their stand powers, the gang was confused at first then figured it out and won. I can go on if you want but I'm out of space in this post

I think of it like this: Your stand power is something you can handle. It's shown several times in the manga that you can train your stand ability or discover stuff about your stand as you use it more, example: When we first meet Rohan and he can only use Heavens Door under super specific conditions to being able to use it on a chicken drumstick in one of the Rohan spin-offs.

Your stand power is something that you can easily grasp and understand. It will always be something that fits you. As shown that no one has a hatred for their stand, not even Carne who had to die to activate his stand.
