Spoilers about next episode. Anyone here to help translate?
I know people are saying Yuri is weird but maybe is because he's without glasses. He has many ~mods~ and it can be confusing:
- eros mod: confident, no bangs and no glasses
- pre-rink: not so confident, no bangs, no glasses
- normal: cute-ish with glasses and bangs
- normal 2.0: cute-ish, bangs and without glasses
Maybe photoshopping his frames in he magazine cover may help?
>memed Bikefairy into happening
The mind truly does manifest reality.
Anyway, the skating discussion in the last thread reminds me. Do you think YoI will ever touch on just why it is that professional skaters skate? The more I learn about the sport, the more I wonder why anyone would ever want to pursue it as a career. The show has explored the love between people, but what of the love an athlete has for a sport so lacking in longevity and hellish on the body?
>Double date confirmed
>Victor's fucking face though
I am losing hope we will ever see him drawn well in promos again
Ice skating would make for really interesting and artsy figures. I can't wait.
GEM is pretty shit though. Pray for Alter or bare minimum Koto but fujos rarely buy scales so we'll be lucky to get one or two nice ones. Just look how long it took Alter to release all of the Frees and half don't even have prototypes yet. Then again, swordsluts have a ton of scales and none have binned. That combined with good BD sales might lead them to make more scales.
Romance between men sure has changed over the years.
>Sorry I'm native Jap so I'm not good at translating.
Holy shit, we have a glorious Nippon buddy here? How'd you get here? Will you tell your friends about BikeFairy for us?
Some Muslims drink, I work with a couple who do.
A lot of pro sports are hell on the body. I imagine the reason why is because they love doing it and they're god enough to be doing so on a professional level so why not put their bodies thru hell for a few years to do what they love. I don't think YoI will though on this though, since it's light hearted.
I better see you faggots in the WonFes threads when that rolls around.
Whose dick do I have to suck to get Alter to do a scale of Fairy popping a Biellmann? Or Yuuri doing an Ina Bauer?
Your welcome XD
I knew 4ch for a long time, long before YOI started ariring.
Not many Jap fans notice the bike guy is Otabek, but I saw some twitters mentioning it. It needs more time to spread.
So what we can gather is that Yuri is going to talk about his past after or before the banquet as it re-kindles some memories about his rivals something embarassing happening.
>Victor will hug him and says he'll support him. Yuri promises to win the gold for him. This will be our gay moment of the episode.
Dear Japanese anon, in our last threads we had a discussion that Yuri on Ice was a pun for Yuri On Love because the way Ice is pronounced in Japanese (aisu), leading to believe the title also means ユーリon愛す a short for 愛する. Do you mind to share your opinion?
>Viktor is drunk and intent on bathing in the mediterranean even though it's 3AM and the middle of winter
>yuuri begrudgingly accompanies him
>nice, romanchikku scene of naked Viktor bathing under the moonlight, Yuuri is mermerized
>suddenly Viktor collapses and almost drowns himself
I see. I like when Japanese fans come hang out with us, it's like a culture exchange.
Do you think they'll like BikeFairy as much as JJFairy?
>Not Victor getting drunk at the banquet and dragging Yuri back to their hotel room with (one) bed for cuddles. Then passing out as soon as his face touches the mattress and Yuuri does something cute like tuck him in or kiss his cheek and whisper good night.
>Morning after scene with shirtless Victor in bed teasing that maybe they fucked? Even though we saw the night before he just passed out as a way to add a Schrödinger's sex scene.
Then they get engaged in the morning
I think it's just a coincidence, since the pun of Aisu（love） and ice is too classic for Japanese to use.
For the fujos looking for nice ship on Yurio with someone, I think Yes.
Other than that, we have to wait and see.
I believe in MSpaint anon meme magic.
Make it happen Kubo.
Otabek is best boy, muslim or not.
>heart mouth victor
I dare any self respecting faggot not to preorder this issue.
I want to see Victor cry
out of happiness
>not talking about yoi at this point.
>Otabek hasn't even appeared and he's on the cover with the main three
Is this real? Has meme magic gone too far?
>implying that Yuuri doesn't get off on watching Victor flaunt it to other people.
That would be too good though. Shirtless Victor asking Yuuri to marry him the next morning after the two of them had loving, tender sex. Too romacchiku.
After ep 10 only 2 episodes left. 10 should be our last comfy ep or the one where shit starts to hit the fan. I expect yuri to get injured during his skate in ep 11 and then in ep 12 he skates anyway winning but made the injury worst.
Report and ignore lost /pol/fags, they are literally worse than furries.
>The thing that I admire about works of fiction about sports is that they have really deep bonds between athletes that are different from romantic feelings. I wanted to write respectfully about that world of theirs that’s totally beyond my reach.
I am retard...what does this meant?
>The general outlines for the story were all finished last year, but as I fleshed out the drafts, the characters took on a life of their own much more than I expected, and I got the feeling things were just starting to move where the characters wanted it to go! A phenomenon occurred where the lines between reality and the will of the characters blurred, and when I talked with the director, Yamamoto, about it, we were like, “Well, we’re not drawing the story at this point. This is just what the characters want, so it can’t be helped!” (laughs)
"I wanted to write a series that featured close but not necessarily romantic relationships, then my main characters ended up being so gay they steered my story in a totally different direction. YOLO I guess."
But for real, to put him, not JJ or any other character, behind Fairy where he always appears to be
I thought it was a delusional thought some days agonext to the main couple is so fucking incredible. What is MAPPA doing
>this whole buzzword ridden post
Holy shit kill yourself already. It doesn't even matter whether it's bait or not, you should kill yourself either way, just for being able to write buzzwords ridden garbage like this.
As long as Yuuri doesn't take it up the ass I don't see the problem.
the gay Christians I know still identify as gay / acknowledge that they are attracted to men, but live a life of celibacy instead because the inclination itself is not sin but the act of having homo sex is according to the text.
Probably meant they initially wanted to create something that's just 100% bait like Free but thought that if the characters were real human beans, all that teasing with no fruition doesn't make any sense.
Am I looking at the right thing here? I don't want to waste 1800¥ on the wrong thing. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/NEOBK-2033907
Sometimes when writing characters, they develop a mind of their own so deep that you can't see them acting any other way. In a extremely simple example, let's say Character A does not like cheese. So when they order a burger, you HAVE to write in that they don't want cheese on it or show some aversion to it if they do get it.
Now take that, along with several, several other habits and mannerism. You start to see everything they will and will not do and even while you're trying to write the plot and set up certain things to happen, you remember "no, character A would'nt want to do that but....I need X to happen. Fuck, how do I get him to do it so it makes sense?" Then you have to re-write it in a way that matches their personality. Before you know it, they really do have a life of their own and control the story.
Or JJ and Otabek in the adjacent rooms not having enough sleep because of Victor and Yuuri's loud sex the day before the competition. They performed really badly the next morning due to sleep deprivation. Yuuri wins gold and out of sheer joy decides to stay skating with Victor as his coach.
It was all accordingly baldie's keikaku all along.
1. Otabek is best boy.
2. As the other anon said, though quite cancerously, the vast majority of muslims in Kazakhstan are genuinely moderate and have modern beliefs, and according to a study from 2011, 60% consider themselves nonpracticing or mild in their beliefs, with 57% stating they don't trust the Quran. Take that as you will.
something like how there is no train and bus in the late midnight, so once Yuuri reach Fukuoka Airport, him and Victor would need to stop by a hotel which is plenty around the airport to wait for the morning train/bus
something like that......my Japanese is rudimentary lol
Yeah that and why does it matter if he's Muslim. None of the other skaters mentioned religion, even JJ's cross was copying something Yuzuru does to stay focused on the ice.
Probably the closest we are going to get to any sort of religion is the church Baldfat will visit next episode.
>None of the other skaters mentioned religion,
Still Alive's lyrics mention God multiple times. Literally the opening lyric is "Oh Lord, everything on the earth has music inside".
That's a perfect way of explaining it, and it's part of why I love writing as well. If your characters are like puppets to you and they're behaving exactly like you've always planned from the beginning, you're doing something wrong.
Kazakh muslims are the embodiment of cognitive dissonance, but it's probably for the best that they pick and choose what parts of Islam to follow, which are the usually nonviolent parts that may or may not imply peace and tolerance.
I'm kind of weirded out how it was a muslim committee that actually made it illegal for all kazakhs (including the majority muslim population) to spread hatred of other religions, and their branch of islam in particular is actually known for being uncharacteristically tolerant in almost all sense of the word. it's also illegal to try and convert others to a different religion.
Weird, but I'll fucking take it over the middle eastern muslims any day, like I'll take most modern Christians over the Spanish inquisition.
He was also behind Fairy in the first key visual.
Er, not the opening lyric, but the line of the first verse proper. It's 3AM, sorry.
I'm glad someone else feels this way too. She and Yamamoto wrote this the right way if Yuuri and Victor were the ones in the driver's seat. That's how good stories are made.
If there is going to be implied sex I desperately want a callback to episode 3 when Victor says he wants to see Yuri's true eros and that he hopes he can show it to him one day. Still one of the lewdest scenes in the series
I think so. Victor's skate song is a very good example of meta. The fact that it's a gay love song, and Victor had it composed for him adds a lot to his character, which you wouldn't necessarily read into at first glance.
Holy shit you're right. That's three times now where he appears behind Fairy in official art. Meme magic played no part in this.
>Yuri has a hot Italian woman lusting after him
Good for you Yuri, now top that ass.
Also full opening when?
It'd matter if he was a middle eastern muzzie, but thankfully he's of the cuck branch of islam that doesn't blow shit up and most are genuinely peaceful and believe in holding hands and being generous and shit like that.
I should always trust my gut feeling. Then again Chink and Phichit are interacting here and you know where that went, but Otabek/Fairy might have been a thing from the start? wew
Implied sex, Clannad style?
I want to bully an Italian loli
>this whole post
Educate yourslelf. Your simplistic, burger centric pov on complex religious matters is embarassing to read.
GEORGI WHY HAVE YOU BETRAYED ME
IS IT BECAUSE I ASKED? HAD I NOT ASKED WOULD YOU HAVE BLESSED ME!?
I'M SORRY GEORGI PLEASE FORGIVE ME, I DON'T CARE ABOUT DUBS JUST PLEASE BLESS FAIRYBIKE WITH CANON STATUS
For implied sex I want Baldfat's date to fade to a pair skating sequence with the two of them, and when the sequence ends, it cuts to them the morning after. That could also explain one of the extra songs still left in the soundtrack.
We don't need dubs, it's happening either way with or without meme magic because it's
FairyBike is canon and endgame. They'll kiss next episode and be revealed to have been dating for a while now (but have not had sex yet, Fairy's embarrassed and not ready, he's a pure virgin).
They won't fuck until Fairy's 17, but the situation will be what you described. Fairy will cry afterwards. He's the type to cry before, during, and after sex. The tears will mix with the semen on his face and he'll be extremely embarrassed from having finally given up his virginity, but he'll be happy that it was to someone who truly loves him for him.
It seems to be focused on Victor. Yuuri is probably too busy training, the first preview also started with "Victor is having fun in Barcelona-" implying it will be from his pov
>Coach doing absolutely nothing
Dear our great witch Georgi, have FairyBike kissed yet? Or will they next episode? Please give dubs if they will kiss next episode. End the post in a zero if they haven't kissed yet and won't next episode. Thank you, Georgi!
I keep picturing them having to be apart for a while because of career stuff, then finally getting to see each other again at a competition.
>they have sex, but probably not anal because that can't be a good idea the night before they have to perform
>Fairy wakes up the next morning
>he's alone in bed but the shower's running
>smiles to himself remembering what happened
>so fucking in love
I wouldn't say we don't know how Victor feels. Did you see his face in episode 7 when Yuuri pulled his signature move? He was awestruck. He's also the one who initiated the kiss.
Also he looked equally as miserable as Yuuri when they were apart. You could see the longing in his eyes and actions when they reunited last episode. Fuck that sounded cheesy.
Dedushka likes Otabek. He thinks he's a good guy who is not only good at taking care of his grandson but also good at taking care of his own vehicles. He can respect that. Also they move in with him and when they're away competing Dedushka cares for the kittens that's yuri's cat has. We went over this a few threads back.
Why shouldn't a 15 year old be able to blow his hot biker boyfriend? Give me one reason he shouldn't be mouthing this dick.
Nothing slutty about it if he's only fucking Otabek. They can have anal in the offseason but should probably stick to blowjobs, frotting, and thighfucking when they gotta work.
Victor rather stop skating, putting aside his career, to coach Yuri and wishes he never retires (which is impossible) so he can be together forever, that answer your question?
How can people have sex and still be normal? It freaks me out, knowing people have sex and still do normal things. Is sex always on their minds? Why don't they just walk around with their clothes off?
How often do you think they fuck? And how far into the relationship do you think they waited before making out and doing sexual things? Apparently most couples in the US wait two weeks to a month before having sex.
Nah he probably just realized he must have been a fellow skater who got btfo at the GPF from Yuuri's hurt expression.
I know logically that this is probably a joke, but the "walk me home gently" thread looms in the corner of my mind and breeds doubt.
I know, but then it's still kind of weird, why did he say that in the first place? Yuuri was upset because he seriously just mistook him for a fan instead of someone who literally just competed against him.
>Yuuri was upset because he seriously just mistook him for a fan instead of someone who literally just competed against him.
No...he was upset because he got the last place and he couldnt be on the same podium as Victor's. Christ, whats so hard to understand about that...
I-It's not...That thread made me cringe too, but I have a complex about sex. It terrifies me so I pretend that even the sluttiest of characters are virgins and haven't had a dick in their vagina or a dick in their ass.
F-FAIRY AND OTABIKE HAVE A SEXLESS, LOVING, PURE, ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP!
>most couples wait two weeks to a month
Just check out ANY skater's social media. They take pictures together all the time even when they're not that close. Yuuri was upset because of his own performance, he didn't feel like he was worthy of skating on the same competitive level as Victor yet alone interact with him.
Especially with thighs like these. Otabek is one lucky son of a bitch.
I could see them waiting longer than usual, actually. Remember that Otabek's profile describes him as shy and reticent, so if there's any accuracy to that, he's probably just as inexperienced as Fairy.
I understand that you'd like some type of confirmation, but I don't necessarily feel like it's needed. Viktor is just Viktor, he's a chatterbox, but ironically he is much more reserved when it comes to talking about his feelings than Yuuri is. He shows everything through his actions.
It's not that farfetched. Competitors are sometimes more focused on overcoming their own limitations than overcoming their competitors. Moreover he said it himself than he always slept as much as he could before competitions so he couldn't have hanged out with anyone during that time. And even if he did Yuuri is a loner who probably didn't hang out with his fellow skaters, ever.
I always thought that Viktor simply offered the photo because he noticed him staring, but apparently people think that he confused him for a fan, not a fellow skater? Now I don't know what's true because Viktor does have a horrible memory.
Yeah probably. I'm not a virgin by any means and I'm pretty outgoing but having sex less than a month into a relationship seems kinda early even for me. I imagine for more shy people it'd be like 6 months to a year or even longer. It all depends on the person and when they feel ready. Sex can be nothing to one person, but a big deal to others.
Fairybike strike me as the type who'd wait even two years or more, maybe a little less, but definitely not fuck on the first date.
>And even if he did Yuuri is a loner who probably didn't hang out with his fellow skaters, ever.
You're kidding me right? He's friends with Phichit and has been nothing but amicable to his competitors.
Skaters always take pictures together after competitions. Victor probably wasn't mistaking him for a fan, and Yuuri probably didn't think Victor was mistaking him for a fan. Rather, he just didn't want to commemorate an event that ended up being completely miserable for him.
Yuuri didn't look hurt until he said that to him, so I assumed it had to actually do with what he said. Now I could be wrong, but that's how many others have interpreted it as well.
How you guys misunderstood Yuri's personality like this. He might be timid but he is friendly and polite. He is not a total loner.
>It was actually written by an official source that Victor confused him for a fan.
Holy shit, poor Yuuri. His idol didn't even acknowledge his existence even though they competed together.
Yeah, I don't get it, either. He never had many friends, but he always did try to be on friendly terms with other skaters. Then again, it is very likely that he never really spoke with Viktor back then because the idol worship was too strong and he was afraid of making a fool out of himself.
>He might be timid but he is friendly and polite
Considering what Kubo said about him avoiding SNS like the plague because he doesn't want to interact with fans, how he avoided worst Korea because they didn't knew each other beforehand and how he reacted to the Detroit girl trying to comfort him... I would say you're wrong, anon.
It's fucking obvious though. Why else would Yuuri be so hurt? His objective was to skate on the same ice as Viktor, to meet him as his equal. But not only did he fuck eveything up on the first GPF he managed to qualify to, but Viktor didn't even notice he was competing against him, and confused him for a fan.
Why else would Viktor offering a picture be so humiliating to Yuuri? There is literally no other explanation.
His self-esteem is too low to deal with fans, Gook looked blatantly antagonistic (I would probably avoid him as well and I am pretty fucking outgoing) and the girl in Detroit stepped over the line. His relationships with other skaters seem just fine, he's friends with many of them.
Trust me if it is true, it would be discussed to death, parodied in fanarts.Come on. I followed Japanese fandom from day 1. Nobody is talking about how Victor mistaken Yuri for a fan. This is troll brait
Why does Viktor keep on winking? It is a Russian thing or something?
So I looked it up and wow, is this it?
> [YUURI AND VICTOR’S FIRST MEETING] - Having made it to the finals of his first Grand Prix, Yuuri thought he’d finally be able to meet his idol Victor on an even playing field. But he generated dismal scores in the competition and wound up being mistaken for one of Victor’s fans.
It's supposed to be in Otomedia or something?
Fine, then explain to me why Yuuri didn't just take him up on his offer.
Just to be clear about this. Yuri and Victor are actually, legitimately, seriously gay for one another in the sense that they experience sexual attraction in regards to each other and would like to be involved in penetrative homosexual intercourse together?
It's a playboy thing.
I couldn't find the image this time, just the translation and magazine source. If anyone have the magazine, it would help.
- Otomedia, Nov 2016
Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think he's antisocial or hates people, it just seems to me that because of his low self esteem indeed he can come off as very aloof or hard to befriend to people who don't know him. Even Michele described him as "moody".
So Viktor offered Yuuri to take a commemorative photo, fully knowing who Yuri was and how he had just humliated himself.
I see, that makes perfect sense.
>inb4 Viktor is autistic
He's not, obviously when he's talking about a day worth remembering, he means for himself and his fans.
Yuuri was staring lovingly at him like an enamorated maiden, of course Viktor'd confuse him for a fan. And he wasn't wrong.
Do you think Yurio's haircut was slightly inspired by Plushenko? I might be overthinking it, but Yurio is also ambitious with his jumps like him.
I have no idea why you think there's a similarity. Plushenko wears his hair like Char, something between a mullet and a bowlcut, like he's right out of the 60s. While Yurio actually respects himself. They're nothing alike, beside being blonde and russian.
I'm dreaming of YoI figures with cool skating poses since day one like pic related. I'm slightly upset that a Megahouse Victor is the only thing we've got so far. Their figures don't look good and I believe even JJ deserves a good quality figure.
Yeah, it's definitely his SP. He calls him a "closet" pervert. He also nags on Emil for only liking his beer or something, so it's obvious that he just dislikes it when Sara shows interest in anyone and insults them in roundabout ways.
What do you think will Otabek's program be like? What do you speculate to be his main strength? He looks like he could have a lot of stamina.
I have no idea about haircuts, so there's that.
I don't think it's impossible that Victor didn't recognise him. He's probably only seen Yuuri without his glasses and with his hair gelled up. It's easy to not recognise him when his appearance has changed quite drastically.
It's like when I watched the stream, it was obvious they kissed in episode 7 but when I came here people were denying it. They needed Victor to say it was a surprise to know it was a kiss even though the way that scene was directed made it obvious it was a kiss. People here fail at reading the obvious sometimes.
Well, I do admit that I failed at reading that scene. It seems so obvious now, I don't know how I could have missed it. Oh well, at least I wasn't in denial about other things.
Before the latest episode, the way BaldFat acted in public had me believe that they had finally gotten together/banged offscreen after the kiss, however Yuuri's thoughts have led me to backtrack a little and wonder if they aren't together after all. Or if they are, but he hasn't realized that it's as serious for Victor as it is for him.
Ep 10 prediction based on all the previews we've gotten so far:
>ep starts with cute segments of all the skaters in Barcelona
>Otabike and Fairy scene
>Yuri training scene, Victor changed the program to make it even better
>Everything is going good, feel confident about GPF
>Banquet party, Yuri remembers something from last year and runs away, Victor follows
>They end up on the pool floor which is empty
>They sit by the pool, Yuri talks about the trauma
>Victor tells him about his past and about the other skaters
>could possibly lead into a "Do you miss skating?" talk about the future etc
>Last scene is the church one where they do some kind of vows/confession
Why spoiler on topic discussion?
I think that attitude has to do with /a/'s defiant and blasé stance on everything. They don't want to celebrate too early only to end up disapointed. Moreover not everbody knew making something happen offscreen (or hidden behind an arm) is a legit storytelling technique to make the audience's imagination race.
It's hard to tell because Yuuri's anxiety is always acting up, and that happens even when you're actually in a relationship (constantly thinking that your partner will still leave you someday, needing reassurance, etc).
I mean, Yuuri most likely thinks this is too good to be true and there has a catch somewhere, and it's hard to blame him because this is literally his idol since childhood and how often does it happen for them to end up crazy in love for you.
Yeah, it's difficult to say because Yuuri is such an unreliable narrator due to his low confidence. Perhaps they didn't really talk about it because there are more pressing issues right now (like GPF) and Viktor just assumed that his feelings were obvious to Yuuri?
They didn't bang offscreen because Yuuri’s eros is still innocent.
They are pretty intimate but it doesn't look like they openly talked about their feelings. Their separation was much needed to make them realize how deep their feelings are for each other.
I remember when YOI just came out, for the first episodes everyone even myself tought that this was just fujobait, or that a real relationship would be impossible, some anons had faith and said "there's always a first one" oh god how i didn't believe. Thank you Kubo, you're making a lot of people happy with this thing.
I think they are dating, but its still fairly early in their relationship and they can't take it too far since its in the middle of competitions. I'm not surprised they haven't banged yet. They're definitely in love with each other but Yuuri is having second thoughts because of his anxiety and performance issues.
Pre-episode 5 I felt they were going to go with ambiguous route, especially when Yuuri turned down Victor's offer to be his boyfriend. But when Yuuri confessed on national TV that his theme was love I was scratching my head thinking how they would no-homo it. I'm glad they went all the way.
The previews can tease like that. You don't remember the one where Victor straight up says he wouldn't mind seeing Yuuri skate naked?
I wish it was rings but it seems a bit early for them.
Even if it was behind his arm everyone's reactions, focus on their lips and the way Victor's mouth is open like going in for a kiss, music that played, Victor closing his eyes, blushes... etc all made the kiss obvious. Anyone who watched it normally would see it as a kiss not anything else. It doesn't make sense with the way it's directed for it to be anything else.
>Yuuri most likely thinks this is too good to be true and there has a catch somewhere, and it's hard to blame him because this is literally his idol since childhood and how often does it happen for them to end up crazy in love for you.
Yes, I'm sure that's how he feels regardless. After all he's been treating the situation with Victor as some sort of short lived miracle that he can only enjoy/exploit to the max until it lasts. He doesn't deserve more than that.
>Perhaps they didn't really talk about it because there are more pressing issues right now (like GPF) and Viktor just assumed that his feelings were obvious to Yuuri?
I can definitely see this happening considering their personalities. Episode 9 really cemented it for me that Victor assumes Yuuri feels the same way he does regarding their relationship while in truth they haven't really talked things out.
My assumption that they might have banged comes from the changes in Yuuri's attitude mostly, especially when Victor kissed his skate in front of the press (something that, for me, was a lot more charged and sexual than the kiss, somehow) and he seemed so at ease and happy.
The difference though is that Victor literally asks Yuuri if its a marriage proposal at the end of the episode. The "round and golden" thing doesn't just come out of nowhere like the "naked on ice" thing does.
I think it could be just Victor giving Yuri one as a "if we're apart and you feel anxious look at the ring and think of me" kind of gift. He seemed a bit shaken by the sudden seperation and he said he had been thinking about what he can do to help Yuri more from now on.
Well, that's one way to look at it. I just don't want to hype myself up and then be disappointed when nothing happens. So far I've only been surprised in a positive way and I want it to remain like this.
4chan and tumblr have that weird obsession with canon stuff. But for everything that's even remotely ambiguous, even for the sake of artisitry, doubts and second guesses wil arise, and therefore that thing cannot be canon. Basically people discuss anime the same way they would have a philosophical discussion, by erasing everything that's even remotely doubtful. Which is why we come to ridiculous situations like these. Where something that looks like a kiss and is interprted by everyone as a kiss, can't be a kiss.
I genuinely think we'll get a pseudo-proposal
Like at the cathedral Yuuri will spill to Victor all his anxiety about retiring, and fears of Victor someday leaving him before Victor makes an outright vow to stay beside him no matter what
maybe with a ring exchange as a bonus
Because after a few years you get incredibly annoyed at people who force their "canon" down your throat and won't take no for an answer. In this case I agree that Victor and Yuuri have a romantic relationship, but after experiencing it in a dozen other series you get annoyed as fuck.
>Meme magic doesn't work, they said
>Otabike/Fairy won't happen they said
Thank you based Mappa.
>tfw you've been longing from afar all this time
Kubo basically has said she doesn't want to half ass this. She isn't baiting.
Hilariously, there was also apparently this tweet before ep 9 even came out
http://seiyuuslittleforest.tumblr.com/post/153513495415/dear-yoi-friends-we-might-have-to-prepare-for-a#notes. It can't be a coincidence. Everything seems to indicate that it's not just a fan thing, she genuinely wants this too.
Nip anon (if you are really one), I need you to tell me where does the pic at 3:15 from this video come from, for research purposes.
That's why initially I had said I wanted him as Fairy's husbando but since he wouldn't appear yet and they pushed JYuri instead, I had given up. Now I know I should have trusted based Mappa.
Because something something miracle of the universe.
Why did they have to make Yuuri look like a shota? There hasn't been a single spread where he didn't look like a tiny blushing uke. Fuck them give me my fat or stamina 23 years old katsudon not this Shinji 2.0.
I never said they would, I just meant in regards to how people keep doubting the nature of their relationship as a whole. Like, I get it, we've been burned so many times, but it's already gotten so much further and more explicit than mere "fujobait", calm down for once.
I refuse to believe Viktor would wear a tie like this.
So which part of Otomedia Nov 2016 has the information about Victor seeing Yuuri as a fan? (page 1 of 2)
>Otabek's eyes right on the target
That's a man on a mission.
I don't know, I never heard of it being confirmed in a magazine but really you shouldn't need written confirmation to know it's true. What other social situations do you of where someone offers someone else to take a picture with them on their first meeting?
Nah, they aren't together. I don't think Yuuri even realize what he felt for Victor until the kiss because the "love confession" in EP5 Yuuri clearly stated he didn't how what his feelings for Victor were, but calls it 'love' sounded like he loved Victor but doesn't know what type of love was it although it was pretty clear it was romantic for the audience.
It's more that they are aware that they in love with the other and sorta know the other's feelings are but there is a lot of more pressing things (Grand Prix series, dealing with Yuuri's anxiety about said GP) to think about. I can't see Yuuri pursing an intimate relationship with Victor with the thinking that Victor will have to leave. Yuuri always fight to tell others that he earned Victor's love but not once he felt entitled to Victor's love or time. As fun as being 'The Man who Stole Victor From The Skating World' was for Yuuri, Yuuri always operated that their time was short. Yuuri probably think Victor wants to get back on the ice for at least one more go around and Yuuri is going to hold him back. Having sex with your first requited love the separate is too much for someone who had serious intimacy issues.
Victor has to really talk to Yuuri. It's nice that he basically said that he rather be Yuuri forever in a roundabout way but Yuuri is still thinking that there will be no point for them staying together when skating was the reason for them meeting in the first place.
Victor doing Stay By My Side will destroy this fear. I don't think Victor's going to completely resolve Yuuri's insecurities in the next episode though.
Well at least it doesn't look like it's falling off his face anymore
What are you doing, anon
I know he has a youthful boyish face but for fucks sake he looks like a ten year old in this drawing.
I can't be mad though, since they included Otabek with the main trio.
Well, Yuuri looks different compared on and off the ice, first off. Plus as >>150487831 said, it sounded that Victor rarely hanged around other skaters because he was usually sleeping. Plus it was stated that this was there first competition together since Yuuri debuted as a senior four years prior to the 2015 Grand Prix Series. I think Victor has a cursory knowledge of his fellow competitors but it's not like he has met with Yuuri before. Although >>150487831
is wrong because Yuuri is close friends with Phichit and has shown he is friends with Leo and Guanghong, and is on friendly terms with Chris since they knew each other when they were Juniors. He wasn't in friendly terms with the skaters in Rostelecom though but they knew of him at the very least and that shows that he had at least talk with them before.
Plus was there some staff confirmation that Victor thought that Yuuri was a fan, too?
I'm happy for Otabek too, I just wish it didn't come at the price of Yuuri looking like shit. Or more like, I just wish Nip fujos would get some better taste in homo, so that magazines wouldn't feel the need to make one of the pairing always look like a 10 years old about to be raped.
Even his teeth are perfect, what kind of 3D Nip has perfect teeth? I tell you he is 2D.
Kek, I was on board this train too, anon but sometimes in life, you need to learn to let go. Also, seeing that overconfident leaf getting btfo is quite pleasant.
Meant for >>150491061
Also give a me a single line Yuuri exchanged with either Leo or Guanghong. Beside "Viktor is bit drunk right now". But don't look too hard because there is none.
The Rostelecom showed this again. He wasn't on friendly terms with a single one of his competitors and just fucked off to a different elevator to avoid them. It was played for laughs, but still telling enough.
Skaters have galas and ice shows together quite often, that's when and how they start hanging out most of the time, not during competition but maybe neither Yuuri or Victor took part in them.
This is how I see it too and which is why I hope we get that confession/vow from Victor next episode. For Yuuri to win GPF he needs to do a perfect Yuri on Ice preformance and that routine is in the end all about his love, both for Victor and for himself. If he still have doubts when the time comes I don't think he'll be able to do it.
Believe me you haven't seen the last of it. Pretty sure, Mappa did it on purpose to spicy things a bit by giving fairy 2 suitors.
He actually straight up said it in Episode 8 when he was waiting for the elevator with Worst Corea: "Unlike the Cup of China, there is no one who I am friendly with". Plus the scene when he discovered that Phichit uploaded that picture of Victor being all over him shows it is friendly too. Plus that mag poster shows that they have at least hung out.
>yfw they baited JJ/Fairy in Episode 8 and then sunk it to the depths of Hell by saying JJ has a girlfriend so the real love interest can come along
We know Viktor did, JJ said so. But even if they both paticipated in a gala/exhibition that wouldn't mean they talked. I know I spent entire years sharing classes with some people without talking to them even once, much less remembering their names or their faces.
which is embarassing as fuck when you meet years after that and they remember you but you don't
2.5D indeed. I love this outfit so much.
How could you hate on this?!
That's not the point. The point is that if they had participated in ice shows together, then Victor would know Yuuri is a fellow skater not a fan. Doesn't mean they would have talked but at least he wouldn't believe he is some random fan.
Yuuri definitely went to the banquets if the summary of having a nightmare of last year's banquet. I can see Phichit dragging him to them especially they had to be sharing rooms during competitions as Ciao Ciao's athletes. Victor would only go to the closing ceremony ones as he is expected as the winner.
all asians are best
gook is the most bestest though
Alternatively I could see his Yuri on Ice routine being one big love confession in itself. A sort of "I have to thank him and make sure I tell him all of my feelings before we say goodbye" packed into one hell of a skate which might make him win? I imagine it would be extremely emotional.
Yeah, I agree, that sounds plausible.
What is even more embarrassing is meeting them daily, them greeting you and asking how you're doing and you still don't remember their names and it's gone on for too long, so you're stuck pretending that you know who they are. Fuck, my memory is worse than Viktor's.
>The point is that if they had participated in ice shows together, then Victor would know Yuuri is a fellow skater not a fan
And I blogposted to make the point that no, Viktor and Yuuri participating in a gala together wouldn't necessarily mean Viktor noticed Yuuri.
Why are you even tring to argue this in the first place? Is >>150490601 >>150488325 not enough proof Viktor thought he was a fan?
The programs in the show are already very difficult, but imagine what insane choreographies could be animated since there are no real life limits.
It would still be a pain to animate, but even 3 or 5 minutes could look absolutely breath taking.
Also, I want to see Viktor skate more.
I love Yuzu, but is he skill wise better than Plushenko? I'm pretty amazed by all of Plushenko's jumps.
Are you mentally challenged? I accept the information we were given, I'm just saying that it's proof they never did a show together because otherwise, even without talking to each other, Victor would at least know Yuuri is a fellow skater, how hard is it to get. When skaters do ice shows or gala together, they train together on the rink beforehand. So it's clear that the GPF was the first time they met as weird as it is.
Yuzu has surpassed Plushenko a long time ago and I say that as a Plushenko fan for like 15 years.
This is to me one of the best performances of ice skating ever and you also have his Seimei one for the LP:
>tfw you're so artistically challenged that you don't even notice that the animation is kinda bad until people point it out to you and even then, it doesn't really bother you
So fucking cute, I always had this feeling he was best boy, can't wait.
It's obvious he was talking to everyone in that Instagram photo scene. Plus, you can't be friendly with someone without talking to them first.
It could be in a way. I mean, it's still about Yuuri's life as a skater but we have been shown that Victor is pretty much permanently tied with his competitive skating as Victor was a big reason Yuuri struck out to make it. You can argue how the music swells is about confused feelings, realizations and tender and exciting feelings of first love along with the insecurities and doubt, then it mellows out to a quiet but steady and strong mutual love. Like we have discusses threads ago about "koi" turning into "ai". That koi is that passionate and heady feelings of love that will eventually mature to ai which is a more encompassing, calm and permanent state of love.
That's why I don't agree with the speculah that the quietness of end of the song means that Yuuri and Victor will separate.
You might want to repeat these words in front of his dedushka.
