leo's endgame is to fuse all the dimensions into arc-v to bring back his daughter, who is the combination of all the yuzus. he dueled and humiliated reiji. reiji then dueled and almost lost to reira who wants to help leo bring back his (apparent) sister.

yusho then got off his ass and dueled yuri(and had one of the best duels in the series), before getting #rekt by a combination of clear wing and starve venom

oh, and the yuus are an ancient evil from before the world was split into 4, who went insane with power and merged with a dragon to become Zarc. EGAO mode is actually zarc's will manifesting, and yuya's losing complete control now. next episode he's dueling yuri/go

All Jonouchi gets to do is get fired from his job and banished to another dimension by Aigami to get saved by Atem and has another Kaiba wetdream.

The most we can hope for is a good conclusion for all characters. The concept of 92 and the built up to it was by all means too soon or should have been done much sooner instead of having an entire arc be 5D's 2.0 only for it to be treated as an afterthought in the end.

To me, the whole Fusion arc was the full point where the writers could not have cared less what they were doing. 115 pissed me with he start of the shows laziness having Yuzu get kidnapped with little resistance and Gon/Sawatari being tied like idiots and Yuya in a poor position Sora needed to save his ass.

The we got the whole setup to the BB arc which by all means destroyed the shows credibility and confirm on so many desperate attempts the writers would make to have Academia seem like a threat when they already botched up at XYZ arc to the point where Yuri alone has to kill off any character in sight. Then we get Ruri in the mix, who ended up being the most disappointing out of all the counterparts and is established at this point for her looks, Yuto's eye-candy and Shun's sister only by name.

After waiting for years for Leo to do something other than sitting on his ass to find out he's an insane moron that caused a multiple amount of problems yet the characters now act like his method is what saves the world.

Reira's character development that comes out right the hell out of no where that's basically a poor excuse to have Reiji do something. Edo and Kaito get informed of the real plot by Yushou before any of the original characters after they've been rendered useless. The two making the dumbest of moves aiming at Yugo, costing him his main cards that could have helped him in his duel. Then once they lose aren't even carded no matter how quickly/easy it is especially with how quick it was to card Yushou while he was at mid-air.

If they were all Pendulum Scale 1/8, they could mix better with the built-in Dark Magician support (TDIL and Mahad), since it relies on Spell/Traps. In other words, you could run more monsters and fewer S/T without losing your ability to summon Dark Magician. As it is, one is only good if you have space for monsters, and the other needs loads of non-monsters to work consistently. You'll basically be doing "Magician Girls with a Dark Magician thrown in" as it is now.

Pendulum Magician are cool, but at that point Dark Magician is a waste of space, really. If you're doing Magician Girls, you need something else with a strong backbone.

We don't know exactly how much he wrote. He just mentioned he wrote the Supreme King stuff but it's possible everything else in s3 he didn't write since Supreme King was only a part of it. That could also include the Yubel stuff too since she was relevant outside of just Supreme King subplot. Finally for any interested, Part 3 of 3 of what Arc-V could've been:

>Fusion
1) Fusion is 25 episodes long
2) Barrett, Tyler Sisters, and BB sent to annihilate Lancers while Yuzu is captured
3) Dennis repents and fights Barrett to liberate Lancers at last but commits emotional suicide because he realizes he cannot go to either Academia nor Lancers since he betrayed twice.
4) Yuya finally defeats Edo and egaos many Academia troops but Herr Professor steps in.
5) Herr Doktor sends brainwashed Ruris to battle their respective Yu's to kill them. All are emotional duels. Yuya beats Yuzu, Yuto beats Ruri but parasite enters Yuto and brainwashes him. Yuya beats brainwashed Yuto and absorbs him. Yugo bears Rin but Yuri shows up. Yuri beats unbrainwashed Serena in an ironically emotional duel appealing to evil fun. Yuri captures her and the brainwashed Ruris.
6) Yugo vs. Yuri is epic duel with no intrusions. Yuri defeats Yugo and absorbs him.
7) Yusho appears and emotional reunion between Tou-san and musuko but broken by Yuri and Leo.
8) Lancers reunite: Reiji duels Leo and beats him but Doctor inserts parasite so Leo can resurrect Ray successfully.
9) Yuya vs. Reiji III. Yuya wins and Leo gets pissed and cards Doctor (also due to his ambition). But too late to stop Ray's revival.
10) Reira's backstory explained more in depth with connections to Original Dimension.
11) Yuri beats Yusho and cards him.
12) Yuya vs. Yuri ensues. Hitotsu Nii and Arc-V happen.

That reminds me. Yuma had an entire archetype that revolves around summoning monsters from various Ranks. Gagaga Magician has an easy effect for it, in particular, and he uses the level effect more for Wonder Wand than for summoning another monsters--he only used Gagaga Magician for summoning HOPU. There was only one exception, and it was a R3. My biggest problem with the duels wasn't even that I thought Hope shouldn't have been in it; my problem was that they built a plot around collecting 99 (retconned to 100) monsters that can all be Xyz summoned, and instead of having awesome duels with Yuma expanding his arsenal of Numbers and calling them out in all kinds of situations for all kinds of solutions, he uses Hope for everything, with most others being used just once by him, being used never, or not existing in the show.

After 5D's started to feel realistic because the real-life game was getting faster, ZEXAL throws it all away by making it so every character has a single move they pull off on their first turn in every duel, which makes it seem ridiculous despite the real life game having gotten even faster. While real-life combos were started to get strong enough to rival the show, the show used weak cards to pull of unrealistic combos in new ways.
