No, we can't. Doflamingo was a punching bag for Gear 4 Luffy, unable to either attack or block effectively. Cracker actually managed to fight back and wound his opponent. Doflamingo fight's outcome was only in question after Gear 4 because Luffy that day had to battle half the island without a chance to rest and eat, allowed Bellamy to wail on him, etc. When Law was still able to support Luffy, Doflamingo had Trebol backing him up. anyone else think big mom is going down this arc?

I didn't think so at first but it seems oda is wrapping up big mom this arc. we were already introduced to nearly all important characters and abilities from her crew and there is pretty much no way of sanji getting rid of his blackmail situation without defeating big mom or making a truce with her (which seems even more impossible at this point)

so obviously something big is going to happen at the wedding, my guess is that there will be some backstabbing (capone?) and a lot of people are going to show up (blackbeard?) and luffy and crew escape amidst the chaos

it just doesn't seem to me that it's just a "pick up sanji and leave, deal with big mom some other time" kind of arc

Capone is going to use his awakening to castle up Totland during the wedding ceremony. Yes, the bomb will go off, but it will only be the catalyst that gives Capone the opportunity to make his move. Totland is going to be restructured, creating a 35 island gauntlet while Capone throws everything in his arsenal at Big Mom, Vinsmokes and SHs. Now all 3 parties have to work together to take out Capone which makes Big Mom in Luffy debt, saving Sanji and Zeff in the process. It's so obvious that considering any other option is elementary.

I've been thinking about how I expect the arc to go.

First of all, I don't think that Big Mom will be defeated in this arc. At least not in a conventional fight. That's why I believe she'll go on a tantrum after the Tamatebako goes off, like the one she had on her introduction, except much worse. I'm not sure of what direction the tantrum would go, but in the end it'd be what's needed for Germa to cancel the wedding (if it's not already cancelled) and become the main antagonists of the arc.

My problem with the last arc is that it never really focused on anything and instead kept bouncing around all over the place. It made me drop one piece all together.

Yes Pudding drops quite a bomb but people are now discussing about Nami’s and Luffy’s reactions. This is something few people have written already but lets say it again, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN NAMI'S AND LUFFY'S REACTION .

Here is what some people said: This isn’t a normal shocked expression, Nami has the “serious” eyes (female version) that the characters only use when they are tense. Luffy also has a shocked expression but his eyes are normal, not the “serious” version….”.
Luffy and Nami’s reaction are also somehow different. Luffy’s reaction looks more like “oh shit, he did?”, but Nami’s reaction is more like “I knew it but I just couldn’t believe it”. Her face also showed more despair because of how she is drawn. Luffy has normal color but Nami is colored darker.


As said, Nami clearly is in shock and frozen, maybe even heartbroken from the very beginning when she hears about the proposal Sanji has made for Pudding and just if you really focus on her eyes, her pupils are wide as plates, they are enlargened (or dilated in medical terms) and they really have this “can’t believe this is true” kind of expression.

I think I have found a lead on who Pudding really is. Since georgemitch prediction that Pudding could be the third sweet commander is considered even by non-Pudding fans I present what just flashed through my mind.
