Is that even a thing anymore? Most studios are doing the scattergun approach, throwing new shit up to advertise LNs but stopping after 1 or 2 seasons.

Plus japanese kids don't care about anime as much anymore. They're on their phones or playing minecraft. It's become a 20-30something year old otaku-catered industry. There's no more saturday morning TV, and everything is streamed on demand, if at all.

I'm not a fan and I loved SE to death until the Noah/Index arcs. It's pretty generic feeling and the quirky characters are far more misses than hits in my opinion.
