I disagree. I watched after it was all said and done and it was great. Only criticism I really had is that it tries to be every single anime at once and that detracts from the overall experience.

Like, it tries to be mecha anime, then goes back to high school hijinks with SOL thrown in, then goes into political comentary, then it goes into harem hijinks, etc. It tried to be everything at once.

Did AZ not even have the kind of "it's fucking terrible but the trainwreck is fun to watch" quality that shows like Guilty Crown and Valvrave and Code Geass (praise kek for s3) had?
