A lot of my love of it is personal since me and my friends tried starting our own band in high school and we suffered from similar struggles like the ones they did in the show, and some of the characters remind me of people I know in real life

It's by far the best anime I've ever seen at making the characters friendships believable. They all have legitimate chemistry together and they gradually grow and develop as people in ways that make sense so by the end you can go back to the first episode and it's actually shocking how different they all are together. There are also enormous FEELS towards the end of the show

I just love this show so much it's the perfect coming of age story

>characters interact with each other organically
>character-driven humor that surpasses a lot of dedicated comedy anime
>expressive and meticulous movements, especially in S2
>good music for both BGM and band songs
>decent progression with the characters and plot despite the mundane premise

I don't like SOL much, but K-ON was just that good to me.
