if embed isn't doing everything automatically for you then make sure to convert your image to a .png and resize it to 1000x1000 or more, and an audio file and convert it to .ogg in audacity with low quality first (go to options when you select save as .ogg, go with 0 or 1) and then if you have space you can up the quality

you can open a media player to test it in a browser but it can still be blocked during upload if it's not stego

yeah that's how it works, if you make the image bigger than the static effect isn't as extreme, or if you use a smaller sized song, if you resize it to whatever embed.exe reccomends when it's muxing it then it will cover the whole picture, if not it will only cover part of it like in yours

You should be using "embed", not "ogglify".
Using embed, the issues I have run into are 1) The image is too small for the song , and 2) it doesn't seem to support non-Roman characters.
Run it from cmd so you can actually see what it's doing, if it continues to fail.

Just so you know, you can optimize your image by resizing it to what embed.exe says are the best dimensions when it's being mixed, that way the static fills the whole image and saves you some space by downsizing a little bit

it was never that bad on other boards, /v/ was probably the only other board that came close to being as big as /a/'s threads, other boards would just have a couple people try it out but they seemed mostly uninterested, there's a small barrier of entry to threads in that you have to be slightly more computer literate than you ussually would to post and listen to sounds, so a lot of people don't even bother

I mean, yes, /a/nons typically stopped bumping old threads after they reached the image limit, but on at least two occasions, there were 3 concurrent sound threads on /a/ (two having been maxed on images), which in my mind is ridiculous.
If you're saying that /v/ would continue to bump threads after they had reached the image limit, that's kind of bizarre, but I don't think /a/ behavior was any kind of acceptable either, towards the end.
Even though there was only 1 or 2 namefags, you could "recognize" people because they would always post the same shit. When a thread was 10-20 away from the image limit, people would start to slow down, because they knew the thread would be abandoned soon. I saw fags deleting their image in one thread so they could post it again in the new thread.
Maybe that garbage came down to a handful of retards, but that is what sound threads were like when moot banned them.

First, grab the starter pack in the OP.
Then get your song and image.
Turn the song into an ogg file. You can do this in Audacity or whatever you want to use for changing it, but be sure and set the quality low, though you can bring it up a bit if the song is short.
Make sure your image is a PNG, and is fairly large.
Drag and drop both the song (now in ogg) and the image (now a png) into embed.exe.
If the command prompt window that shows up immediately disappears, that means your song is too large for the image, so you have to drop the quality of the encode.
If the window shows up for a while and does some things, and then spits out a new image with -embed at the end of its filename, you've made a image with sound in it.

Make your image larger, that'll help with the static. If, during the embedding, it says that more channels are being used than there are (if it says something like "Embedded using bitmask of 7 with 4 channels), you should upsize your image.
