I was expecting it to be a body-swapped scene with one of the dudes saying it in a girl's body. I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong.

You wouldn't rewatch Kokoro Connect? It's captivating enough. Though I haven't rewatched it yet, I wouldn't rule it out.

I only watched Ongaku Shoujo because I was a huge fan of the guy who does the music. Wouldn't recommend watching it, but would highly recommend the music

Meh it's got a very good premise and I guess the first, Inaba and last arc are decent enough, but a lot of the show is squandered on some pretty shitty drama imho.
Plus except Inaba all the other characters are pretty bland, the worst offender being Aoki. It's like the writers just forgot him at some point.
I mean I don't regret watching it and I'd watch a season 2 if it ever came out (NEVER EVER) but it's nothing spectacular.
Also I heard the light novels are pretty good and stronger than the anime in certain areas, but I haven't gotten around reading it yet.
Definitely has a very good premise though.
