What are you currently looking to buy /a/?
Fag mod thinks that they are removing cancer from /a/ by getting rid of generals without realizing all generals are not created equal.
And like being a little bitch that they are, they start pruning these threads in the middle of the early morning.
Greetings from the draw threads. In this matter we are kin.
Go to #4chan on rizon to fight to good fight.
I really want this Asuka but the the aftermarkets are pricing me out. Any chance of another release?
It beats having 12 threads open that can all be contained in one. And I have found these threads to be helpful and quite entertaining over the years.
Just seems like they are burning bridges for no good reason.
If the thread is trash, then let the community ignore it or improve it, don't decide for us.
>I'd like to think that's not Kinomod
Why, because he has started to actually do his job and get rid of these cancerous generals?
>But if he is, then I guess I misjudged him.
Yeah, no one else wants you cretins on /a/.
He told you retards in the metathread to contact him directly on IRC, quoting the username he has had for years.
You dumb newfag.

Thank you retard anon who keep posting momohime pic every thread.
>He told you retards in the metathread to contact him directly on IRC, quoting the username he has had for years.
>You dumb newfag.
Oh look, it's that retarded newfag again.
Why the fuck are you quoting a random ghostpost for? Are you fucking insane?
This is the relevant post, fuckwit:
You're the ones being told to leave.
Take the fucking hint already.
>Code Geass gets announced bring about the true /a/ we used to love in 06-07
>Mods are angry that 4chan could ever go back to the days before Reddit and start a purge
Its as clear as day, you will not ruin the second golden age!
>that supports the industry
What relevance does that have to /a/, a board with a history of piracy and a board which flatout bans CR threads?
>Just because the mod uses the same name as kinomod used to, it doesn't mean he's kinomod, you idiot.
Yes, because after using a name in IRC for years and years you suddenly let someone else use it in order to promote confusion.
You're fucking delusional and only digging your hole deeper, moron.
>Thread dies from no activity and 404's
>Dollfag makes a new thread right off the bat
>Locked and warned but should have been banned
>New thread again
Feels good to be the only buyfag that's against this
CG threads were fucking dogshit, worst part of the board back in 06. They never really got up to full on board spam until the finale though, which is why it's pretty hilarious to see newfags posting dozens of threads about the announcement because the only thing they know about CG is that one screenshot of the board in ruins.
>And I have found these threads to be helpful and quite entertaining
What the fuck is helpful about these dogshit threads? You can occasionally find a deal for 5 dollars off a 200 dollar hunk of plastic that will take up some space?
The entertainment of watching people waste money?
These threads are corpulent and diseased, and they should have been the first to go in the purge. Fuck off back to /toy/.
Oh, so you're one of those retards who also believes that just because new mod posted a pic of kino, it also proves he's kindomod, right?
You're not very smart if it's so easy to fool you. You literally don't have any proof other than "b-but IRC name!" which can be used literally by anyone once it expires.
You really remember very little of the 06-07 days.
Threads were full of a variety of anime getting spammed, it wasn't even just Code Gayass. Even then CG had plenty of spam at key moments throughout its entire run, as did Death Note, TTGL, etc. Hell even Ergo Proxy and Yugioh GX had dedicated threads up constantly, which would be construed as generals.
STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE
Here is the deal, people want to show off the new things they bought and their fandom for animu and mango related things through the use of their figmas.
If you move this to /toy/ in all likelihood they'll freak out as well and then you'll have two boards in a hissy fit and war with each other. The fact of the matter is, this stuff is more apt on /a/ as it discusses the general things and reasons people bought what they bought.
Hope we see a preorder for Anya soon, definitely the best of the 3 Alter has put out.
The very concept of the thread is a joke. I've bought a few figures, I look at them once and then they sit on a shelf forever.
If we were talking about something like full on custom model building, I could see it having a place on /a/. But nobody here has any skill, they'd rather just blow a few hundred dollars on another anime booty for the collection of trash.
Because the /toy/ mod is a sperg? There's no reason they can't give up a single thread for your crappy weebshit.
Showing off what you bought is blatant blogging. Half the people buying shit don't even know the show it's from.
Buyfag has been pretty decent for a while. But look at this thread. 70 posts in, and none are about anime merch.
The new rules are making /a/ worse.
Pic related is what I'm waiting on this month.
I don't understand what the point of figfix was if they're just going to make the most pleb shit anyway instead of using the opportunity of small+cheap figures to make more niche stuff.
>If we were talking about something like full on custom model building, I could see it having a place on /a/. But nobody here has any skill, they'd rather just blow a few hundred dollars on another anime booty for the collection of trash.
You mean like Gunpla which plenty of people use and have dedicated threads on /m/ almost regular which are also generals? Guess those will also be purged soon then as well.
There is this option on the catalog to hide threads, you should try it.
Gunpla isn't really full on, but it's totally suited to /m/ and I have absolutely zero issue with it. People can spend 20 bucks and a lot of time and end up with something meaningful to them.
If these threads were about custom builds and showing them off, I don't think I'd have a problem with them. As they're just blatant capitalism ho circlejerks, I think anyone who uses them seriously should be permabanned from life.
>keeping the industry alive
The anime industry is a joke. If you're buying figures, all you're supporting are shitty publishers.
Support creators, buy manga. You can get 40 fucking volumes for the same cost as a nice ass.
They are good when mods don't interfere and we have to have a thread like this where most of it is metaposting. Although I wouldn't call buyfag threads chill by any means, they're very hostile, although I think that's a good thing in its own right.
>implying people here not buying doujin, manga or bluray discs
>If you're buying figures, all you're supporting are shitty publishers not the creator.
You are retard please leave.
Not true at all. There is plenty of customization that can be done to Gunpla, ranging from simple and custom paint jobs, to battle damaging using a searing too, or even amalgamations of many different parts. Even then Gunpla can range anywhere from $15 to $300 depending on the grade of the build and the amount of materials needed to procure what is needed.
While yes more works goes into said things compared to say the typical figma (even for those that personally customize certain aspects of a figma themselves), both can be rather proud of their purchases and it mean something meaningful to them, so there is no difference in relations there.
Even then most of the Gunpla threads on /m/ are typically "Hey guys I bought this and put it together, what do you think?" and that is the end of that, there are a few people, as there are in these very threads that look for critiques into something they may have bought regarding said specific show or design that they may particular like or criticisms towards specific figmas themselves in terms of build and how they have been assembled to be distributed.
Your own narrow minded view of both is insulting to not only figmas and Gunpla to buying something meaningful to a person regardless of what it is, even if its a simple Stormtrooper toy for /toy/ or something as simple as buying a single manga volume of a particular Saga/Arc of something you either recently enjoyed or did so in the past, and you want to bring this to the attention of everyone who may have or may not have seen said thing, and to expand and enrich the culture all around not just in Anime and Manga but a variety of things across the board.
I'm looking forward to this one, but a little worried about the company.
Has anyone else ever gotten anything from Bell Fine? How was the quality?
Things like manga typically aren't posted as often because there's nothing visually to present to others and there's generally not much discussion to be had save from things such as the Spice and Wolf novel that came out.
it's funny how banning generals made the threads into the cancer they were apparently banned for.
no one really batted an eye until it became against the rules, now it's some big deal with loads of shitposting. I think the takeaway here is to not try and fix something that isn't broken.
Mods are telling us to migrate to /jp/.
Mods hate current /a/, not enough dubs and jibun wos.
>New mod who doesn't know shit about the board starts trying to push people around. It's happened before and it will happen again.
Nice try, newfag, but it's Kinomod removing you shitwads. Get outta here.
Because all the new mods are from Reddit and think 4chan is all about like a handful select screencaps and "haha funny memes, maybe I'll fit in and the whole board can be like this xD!!11!!1!1!"
The image on the upper right looks quite stupid, the angry open mouth face combined with the dress do not mix well at all. There are plenty of better Sabers out there, and Bell Fine's figures have all been overpriced and cheap looking.
Jumped the gun the other day with the CG announcement and preordered this. It looks nice, but I'm fairly skeptical of Kotobuyika in general. They look like shit compared to anything Alter, really.
Can't wait for everyone in this thread to get a warning/ban.
Make /a/ great again,
Bring back modcat ;_;
This one? Got her ordered as well.
I have 9 saber figures on pre-order right now.
>Because the /toy/ mod is a sperg? There's no reason they can't give up a single thread for your crappy weebshit.
/toy/ - Toys
Toys, toys, toys!
Absolutely no Japanese figurines. Action figures are permitted.
No "hot glue" fetish images.
Not him, but what you have, anon, is a problem.
His life, his money. He is free to do with it as he pleases, just as I'm allowed to buy useless ass cacti because I enjoy taking care of them.
What the deal with the generals purge? If it's related to the board wouldn't it be better to have a general? Then there isn't any double up like the multiple shitty Code Geass threads at the moment.
Stop being salty, his waifu is getting love, my waifu is dead in the eyes of the jews.
It's not so much a problem when the discussion is just kept to one thread. It becomes a problem when the thread continues to be made long after things to discuss run out and it just devolves into shitposting and circlejerking.
Ah yes the same old tired excuse. It won't happen if we as a community stop encouraging stupid questions to be made all the time, just like we did with rec threads. Lets face it, buyfag generals or any form of general is a circle jerk. Thats fine, I like to circle jerk too, but why not do it in an IRC or discord channel or something? Stop wasting gookmoots bandwidth with this stupid shit
You think they're really going to do that though for a tiny board like /toy/ when they can't even properly clarify and update the rules for a larger and faster board like /a/?
When will Hiro fuck off?
Only a small part of 4chan wanted new rules while the rest were just fine with it.
You already datamined the fuck out of us and filled the site with malware, sell the site already faggot.
I was skeptical at first mod, I figured you'd just ban a couple of threads and then give up.
The fact you've finally moved onto these awful threads is a real step up. I hope this progresses to eventually removing these shitty threads, they're only filled with metaposting after the ban, and changing the name shouldn't be a free pass to continue if the content is exactly the same.
Literally a single line in the header for a week will do it, something along the lines of "Japanese material is only permitted in X thread". So difficult, how on earth will /toy/ survive?
>It becomes a problem when the thread continues to be made long after things to discuss run out and it just devolves into shitposting and circlejerking.
What about the 5 Code Geass threads at the moment? 99% of it is shitposting and circlejerking. Your never going to be able to stop or get rid of it and the mods have only made these threads worse
>Literally a single line in the header for a week will do it, something along the lines of "Japanese material is only permitted in X thread". So difficult, how on earth will /toy/ survive?
It sure is a nice concept, but it doesn't change the fact that as it currently stands, it's not allowed right now. Making /a/ buyfag threads there is pointless unless what you're considering actually happens.
Mods are retarded. I got banned yesterday for telling anon to kill themselves for posting a shitty doujin page, but a meta disucssion involving a tripfag filled with shitposting about said tripfag was kept intact - in the same thread. It's like the some of the mods never browsed /a/.
That being said, as much as I like the buyfag thread and get information from it, I could do without it (or at least I wouldn't mind not having it at up 24/7).
Problem is, we can't move it anywhere. Statues are banned on /toy/, and individual thread just won't do.
It'll be allowed. IRC has already gotten their hand on the Drawfag thread drama going around too and are spamming threads.
Deleting threads just stirs the flames higher and higher, mods cause the problems of the board more than they think because people find easy shitposting material out of the drama.
Nippon Yasan just told me this is going to release a month and a half early!!
>mfw I got an email about preorder date change for this figure
>I have absolutely no recollection of ordering it
Hi guys, can you recommend me a shop? I have some animes that I would like to buy merchandise. I also liked some figures I saw of pochako and sonico.
Also, how long does it take for stuff to arrive?
Trying to get this cute little fuck before Christmas.
EMS shipping from Playmoya and regular shipping directly from Square Enix are the same price. Canadian here, so I'm getting dinged with customs either way, but which one is more reliable time wise?
I have always gotten things quicker with EMS. Hence the price.
You might want to make sure that you won't get hit by customs for using one method over another.
I thought that EMS to Canada got hit with more customs fees.
I actually ordered and paid for the whole fucking package with the vita game and ps4 game everything at one point without owning neither consoles because I really wanted all the stuff you got in the box, this mousepad being one of the things I wanted.
After masturbating I realized what I had done and contacted the reseller and asked them to stop the order. They had already packed it. They were nice and still canceled the order for me though, but due to currency value going up and down daily I lost like 15 dollars on it.
>Buy a few entries in a doujin series
>I don't really like it but the guy keeps fucking releasing new chapters every year and I feel like I have to finish it
I am literally buying porn to see how the story ends
No, only KEK does.
Also isn't it faster to type 'kek'?
Eh, I figure I'll probably get hit with customs no matter what - Canada sucks hard with that.
But really, money's not a big concern here - he just needs to get here before the 25th. If EMS is quicker despite being across the ocean, I'll definitely go with that.
Noot was agaunst mods doing their jobs and was in favour of self-moderation, too.
Are you going to fuck off and do what moot ALSO was in favour of? If you didn't know, he liked to tell people he was a big fan of "Ignore shit I dont like".
>You do realize moot was against generals too
No, moot was just against australians
generals without australians were fine, which is why shit like warhammer general on /v/ was never a problem, but any sort of football general anywhere was instantly deleted
>Ignore shit I dont like
You faggots always bring this shit up thinking this somehow can justify your shitty general. It was never meant for anything but to ignore threads for shows you didn't like instead of shitting on them.
No, that would make things worse. Archive hunt for /ag/ and check for yourself.
He got called into a courtroom to testify against a poster.
After that, he was pretty much fucking done with the site.
Shortly after, he got to give a Ted Talk. Even though it was pretty banal, he got a taste of what life was like when you WEREN'T surrounded by mouthbreathing faggots 24/7.
So he tried to inject some of that experience into 4chan. After that was a bust, he stopped giving a shit and went looking for a way out. After the fappening, gamergate, etc, he said fuck it and started applying anywhere, and Google called him up and he's never looked back.
>That's because it's a multicultural shithole.
They're both multicultural shitholes, unless you're talking about Native Americans, which everyone hates. Canada is literally France and Britain's unwanted baby.
>You faggots always bring this shit up thinking this somehow can justify your shitty general. It was never meant for anything but to ignore threads for shows you didn't like
He wants to ignore the deficit and just inject more money instead of applying austerity measures. The same policy that sunk Brazilian economy in three years after a decade and half of booming. So hold on to your butts, leafs.
You guys actually have it a little better off.
US Minimum Wage: 7.25-10 USD (depending on where you live, typically 7.25 in most places)
CA Minimum Wage: 10.50-15 CAD (depending on where you live)
Basically at our lowest each.
7.25 USD=9.78 CAD
7.78 USD=10.50 CAD
At our highest each.
10 USD=13.49 CAD
11.12 USD=15 CAD
You guys get paid slightly more than us, its not by much, but you do, and likely for a lesser cost of living.
For instance to afford a 2 bedroom apartment, Kentucky has the cheapest apartments in the US, you need a mininum wage of $13 at least to afford one. With San Francisco's being the highest at around $45/hr. Our prices have tripled and even worse so in some places while the minimum wage has stayed the same, if our min. wage had gone up with the economy, we'd be getting around 22 USD=29.67 CAD/hr.
I'm not saying it isn't. Just look at Seattle, because of the increase in minimum wage its actually not changed anything in terms of jobs being offered and has actually gotten slightly worse due to not being able to pay everyone that much.
Your prices however are cheaper than ours in some Provinces, which helps with an increased wage (even if its slightly).
Both of our economies are honestly in very poor places. Australia's too. Hell most of the world's economy is in the shitter.
if anything it may become the slippery slope that will make automation in the food industry viable
but probably not because they'd have to run out of immigrants and desperate female applicants first
Not really. The unused assets of the top 1% could pay all the burger flippers easy. It's like that in plenty of countries, like your weeb paradise Japan.
In Japan the top CEOs don't even make half what they do in America, and no one whines that there's going to be some sort of Brain drain where these brilliant CEOs leave the country if they don't get paid 350 million a year.
>Only a small part
Yeah no most posters here hate generals aside from you. They go against the entire point of the site and should be confided to containment.
Hell just make /trash/ include unwanted generals so we can get done with this crap already
Dude, that idiot is either a shill for the status quo or a litteral brainwashed retard who honestly believes that.
They teach this..well..indoctrinate them, with this abject retardation in economics courses in most schools. Most notably in the supposedly superior American schools.
This isn't really what you're arguing, but how the hell is this even considered a general. It's just a thread about all the anime merchandise. Anyone can join in and talk about whatever anime they want to.
No one teaches that type of logic in American schools. It's the absence of being taught economics that leads people to come to those conclusions based on what they think is "common sense."
Hence why most of the people who actually go to college to study economics are quite liberal. When those students start making millions they care more about their own money than other people's welfare so many switch to becoming republicans. It's just a matter of greed and human nature. Even when people have 1 billion dollars they are still greedy for more money.
I live in Canada and shit is compleatly random if it gets hit by fees or not. Every package goes through customs and its up to the person looking at it to decide if its worth their time or not. I've personally never had a package under $100 CAD get hit, but shit like Remila that was $240 after shipping go through without getting dinged as well. I've also had things not get charged duty fees and only sales tax. Shit is weird and you jsut gotta pray.
They were starting to automate cashier jobs before the talk of minimum wage increases ever started though. Stores who put those self checkout lines are starting to remove them too now that they discovered you can't trust the masses to do anything for themselves and the rate of theft has gone through the roof thanks to them too. All it takes is 2 people an hour to say "fuck it I'm not buying food here because this retard in front of me in taking forever to self order" to make it worth paying a real person to take orders. In the end these big companies will bitch and moan about having to pay their employees more, try to automate them, fail and just raise the price of their burgers 10 cents to cover it paying someone to do the job.
No. Because then ALL posts would be shitposting.
Not true, buyfag threads always had a fairly high number of unique posters. Not the same thing can be said of these re:zero threads with 300 posts and 50 posters.
>No, that would make things worse. Archive hunt for /ag/ and check for yourself.
It doesn't use edition, doesn't reference previous threads and doesn't really have any stagnation due to nothing happening because something is almost always happening in buyfag.
Those attributes have always been core to how to identify what is a general and what isn't.
See 3.0 release and there was up to something like
>Eva General #700
Regardless of the film already having been discussed to hell and back.
Generals promote maintaining a thread when there's nothing new to discuss which isn't allowed on /a/.
See [email protected] generals being moved when there was literally no [email protected] anime airing and the threads were stagnant and the only discussion about the video game or waifuposting.
[email protected] was able to clearly fit into the rules of /vg/, unlike people saying buyfag should go to /toy/ which already has very clear rules about anime merchandise.
People call it circlejerking when they don't understand what a circlejerk is, relative to threads.
Not to mention if you apply this same logic that is being used against buyfag, to the rest of /a/, there would be almost nothing left.
How often do you not see a waifu/husbando thread up?
An imouto thread?
A nee-san thread?
This is your x tonight thread?
A re:zero thread?
What did x mean by this threads?
What emotion is this trying to convey threads?
The list goes fucking on.
Ordered this as it's the last day to get it on Hobby Japan, I just got the Suzunoki Rin figure with her bike the other day so I think this one will be nice to go with it.
To followup on this a precedent (not that we need anymore precedents for buyfag to be on /a/ after several throughout the years) is already set within rule 4 which allows the direct discussion of live action and western films, so long as they are rooted in or based off of anime/manga.
How is it people think it is better to discuss Hollywood adaptations of anime, as opposed to figures made and sold in Japan, based off of anime?
All they had to do was ban the fag, jojo and idolshit generals
DJT and buyfag didn't hurt anyone
I don't want /jp/ to become a generals board either
No, but you can discuss film and television related anime on /a/.
Surely you wouldn't suggest that anime figures from Japan are less related to anime than say, a western adaptation of GiTS?
It doesn't make sense within the current ruleset at all.
It doesn't follow rules set out on /a/, nor does it follow the rules for generals beyond there being a thread up all the time, which is one out of several identifiers of general threads.
A case can easily be made against DJT and I don't see what rebuttal you have.
Learning Japanese isn't directly related to anime & manga.
I've never personally understood why it remains on /a/
DJT really is the least suited out of DJT/buyfag/drawthreads to be on /a/
Buyfag threads are far less suited to /a/. A case can be made for the drawfag threads, given they provide a service for faggots, and DJT, because it creates the potential of more translators for rest of the board, but buyfagging is nothing but "look how much money I wasted, aren't I cool?" style posting, and provides nobody in any other thread with even a tangential benefit.
Are sad panda threads banned yet?
Also, why can't they bring the textboards back and move them there? Why can't all of these threads just go to /jp/? DJT would be fine (not really) in /jp/, unless you're willing to make the assertion that language isn't culture, but instead it gets pushed to... /int/, which no one likes, which already has a Japanese language thread, and which doesn't share any of /a/'s culture at all.
It was forced into a ghetto. The point isn't just to make /a/ "on-topic", whatever that means, but to humiliate people for posting threads they don't like. They made sure to go for the solution that made the posters feel like unwanted garbage.
You mean people enjoy blogging about their lives. The support buyfag threads provide to anime is almost non-existent, I'd actually go as far as to say that DJT has more impact with people buying raws to read. The parts the buyfag threads support are what's brought us to the current stalemate of a dozen shitty LN adaptations a season.
>given they provide a service for faggots
That isn't directly related to anime or manga.
>DJT, because it creates the potential of more translators for rest of the board
DJT as a whole is indirectly related to the board, potential for translators doesn't make the entire thread directly related to it.
That's like me saying buyfag should stay because we put money into the anime merchandise economy which helps to keep it spinning.
It's bullshit in both instances.
A thread for learning the Japanese language as a whole is not directly related to anime and manga. It is indirectly related.
Buyfag is the discussion of merchandise directly related to and based off of anime and manga.
It is equal or closer than the discussion of western, live action adaptations of anime.
Do subtitles not exist?
Excellent way to dodge the point by the way.
And yes sorry to tell you but anime and manga are not so intertwined with the Japanese language as a whole that they are inseparable you fucking imbecile.
The thread isn't learning anime it's learning Japanese.
>It is equal or closer than the discussion of western, live action adaptations of anime.
Here's where you went full retard.
Were the buyfag threads limited to only discussing BR and manga sales, I supposed I could agree with some of your points. Because they aren't, and they're in reality just a place to post all the figs you want to buy/have bought, your points ring totally hollow.
Both threads might have a tangential impact, but the one DJT provides is far more obvious to the board.
If you think talking about plastic butts is anime related, then why don't people have threads on /tv/, or /v/, or any other board about toys, other than /toy/? Your complaints should be with the moderation of that board, for not letting you post your shitty figures where they so obviously belong.
UK amazon got a Tatami Galaxy Collectors Edition a few days back.
Anyone else who bought it?
>It was forced into a ghetto. The point isn't just to make /a/ "on-topic", whatever that means, but to humiliate people for posting threads they don't like. They made sure to go for the solution that made the posters feel like unwanted garbage.
Pretty much this. DJT, Buyfag and Drawthreads have all become "personae non gratae" on this site. I don't know who decided it or why, but the moment DJT was moved to /int/ the crusade started.
I doubt most people on /a/ even cared about these threads, before the current shitstorm started they mostly complained about generals about anime series, and since these threads are generals too and a mod decided to purge them, they suddenly started hating them too, for no real reason.
By the way, it's true that DJT was never /a/ related, but in my opinion it was a good and productive thread we had here, and most of its posters were /a/non who were learning the language for /a/ related content. Revoking the special permission it had was a stupid move in my opinion.
Did you even read your own post?
You didn't even address the point you quoted.
>Were the buyfag threads limited to only discussing BR and manga sales, I supposed I could agree with some of your points
Why is that?
On what basis would you be comparing sales of the source material to a different fucking medium?
>they're in reality just a place to post all the figs you want to buy/have bought
The threads are discussion of anime merchandise.
Word it all you want to make it different, this is what the threads are.
>your points ring totally hollow
Based on what? You haven't even formed a fucking argument.
Are you sure this is the word you need to be using here?
>but the one DJT provides is far more obvious to the board
Based on what? Do you have anything to suggest this?
>If you think talking about plastic butts is anime related
I think talking about anime related merchandise is anime related.
>why don't people have threads on /tv/, or /v/
I believe /v/ does have its own video game related buyfag, just as /a/ has its anime related buyfag, just as dolls are on /jp/ and western toys and everything else is on /toy/
>Your complaints should be with the moderation of that board, for not letting you post your shitty figures where they so obviously belong
I don't think you understand the way things were set up.
You have struggled to make coherent points and don't seem to fully understand the topic you're trying to argue.
You want the rules bent so you can keep your buyfag threads, same for DJT
You two should agree that the mods are being faggots and contact gookmoot on twitter @hiroyuki_nl to tell him the mods are not working for the community, but against it
Waiting patiently for my Lala re-release.
There are several precedents and judgements by mods in the past which is why the anime buyfag thread has been on /a/ all this time.
There's a fucking rule in place right now that allows discussion of LIVE ACTION series' on /a/.
The fact that people are more angry about anime merchandise threads over live action threads is stupid enough in its own right.
I liked DJT and used it while in earlier phases of studying Japanese, but I won't argue for it to be on /a/ using the same reasons that I believe buyfag should be on /a/ for, because DJT has always been more of an exception / special case rather than it actually belonging.
It makes sense for the fucking anime related merchandise thread to be on the anime board.
Buyfag literally doesn't even meet half of the criteria for being a general.
Educate yourself fuckwit.
>There are several precedents and judgements by mods in the past which is why the anime buyfag thread has been on /a/ all this time.
Same can be said for DJT
You are arguing with the wrong people. I will again suggest tweeting gookmoot about this bullshit
One I'm viewing right now is complaining that he was mistaken for another anon, indicating that there are more than one people complaining about the existence if this type of thread. You, on the other hand, seem to claim that there is only one retard here that is complaining about these threads
This is the board famous for its users forsaking real women in favor of having imaginary anime wives and people are complaining about the anime merchandise threads.
Have I become stuck on bizarro /a/?
In an effort to improve the quality of posts on /a/, it's come to our attention that issues in buyfag threads should be addressed. To that end, here are a few suggestions:
1. Please focus on producing original discussion, questions, or content when creating or contributing to a thread; avoid >template formats and “X Thread”-type posts. OPs should be insightful and specific, not >general.
2. Please avoid reposting content from previous threads. This includes: resource pastebins, copypasta, forcing memes, image dumping, “xth for y”, “reminder x” and anything that fails to abide by #1.
3. Feel free to talk about similar content in separate threads.
4. Allow a thread to expire naturally.
5. Please avoid recurring thread topics that are not accompanied by content to discuss
6. Continue to abide by the global and /a/-specific rules outlined here: 4chan.org/rules
These suggestions are applicable to other threads on /a/.
If we keep to these guidelines, we can all enjoy /a/ together. Please report any rule breaking content too. Thanks again!
>If you think talking about plastic butts is anime related, then why don't people have threads on /tv/, or /v/, or any other board about toys, other than /toy/? Your complaints should be with the moderation of that board, for not letting you post your shitty figures where they so obviously belong.
>Please focus on producing original discussion, questions, or content when creating or contributing to a thread
>Please avoid reposting content from previous threads
Please go read every single thread made before so you don't post something already posted in the past
Are we being raided by Reddit or something? I've been seeing /v/ and other crossboarder pictures a lot more for a fucking week now, and now a bunch of autists are sperging out in any thread they consider a general.
>All General threads are not allowed on /a/. This is a general. End of discussion.
Apparently precedents and past judgements don't mean shit.
This in it's current state IS a general, as much as you try to deny it, it encourages LITERAL circlejerking. Take it up with the mods, please.
People are "improving the board culture" by following mod approved rules. Deal with it or go to >>>/toy/
The fact that this thread has a link to a guide (which you know is not allowed, hence the spoiler) is damning enough.
Why do you think the anime related merchandise thread doesn't belong on /a/?
What little stagnant posts there are can be cleaned up but the thread itself belongs on the fucking anime board
/v/ has its video game related buyfag
/jp/ has dolls
/a/ has the original and only anime related buyfag
/toy/ is western
Perhaps you should forward those thoughts to >>>/qa/
First they came for [email protected], but I did not speak out for I am not an idolfag.
Then they came for buyfag, but I did not speak out for I am not a buyfag.
Then they came for my threads, and there was nobody left to speak up for me.
Again, this is a statement that should be made in /qa/, not bitching at me. As it stands now:
>Everybody agrees that generals are cancer. There have been multiple warnings that this was coming down.
/a/'s topic is anime and manga, this thread's topic is neither of those directly. /a/'s rules is a meta-topic and definitely not anime or manga.
Lucky you, I still have to wait a few days to get that package delivered to Germany.
That's all well and good but buyfag has never met the criteria to be a general on a consistent basis (read: outside of new people or trolls) and this has been enforced over the years if it started to creep towards being a general.
Literally not even anime or manga related IN THE SLIGHTEST.
I sure love discussing socio-economics in a thread about anime & manga, oh wait, this thread is really about plastic figures and should belong on >>>/toy/
As if there hasn't been /a/ shit on literally every board forever. Did you forget where you are?
Except /a/ specifically bans threads that don't encourage discussion of anime or manga.
Thank god I have the buyfag safe space to talk about figures until this retarded shit finishes.
Even in your meta discussion, nothing can come to a consensus. Perhaps you should discuss all this non anime / manga related stuff over on >>>/qa/
>As if there hasn't been /a/ shit on literally every board forever. Did you forget where you are?
Of course there's /a/ shit on every board retard, the site was practically founded on it. That doesn't mean /v/ or anywhere else can shitpost on /a/. Fuck off back to wherever you came from.
Nobody cares about your secret board and posts on /qa/ have never changed anything. Please, continue to relentlessly antagonize the userbase, then complain in IRC about how hard your job is.
It's true though, everyone on /a/ thinks their special snowflakes when it comes to "do the rules apply to me too?"
They apply to everyone, this thread included, which is clearly not discussing the main board's topic. Does not belong here.
No, the mods made it okay for newfags to talk about Naruto on /a/, and they did it for their own reasons, most likely something to do with falling user count and not having anywhere else to put Naruto. /qa/ has never mattered and it will never matter.
Cmon guys, if they don't want all the posts from this thread to be in a single general we'll just have to put each of them into a separate new thread. I mean, if the "majority" feels it will improve /a/ I believe we should comply. I'm already preparing to dump my pork folder while asking stupid questions like "where can I buy this", "how much will shipping cost" or "can I pay COD"?
If generals on /a/ were really a problem moot would have just made /ag/ - Anime Generals, but Hiroshima blew all of 4chan's cash on sake and 3DPD dakis so he's gonna cut boards rather than add new.
Has anyone bought from E2046 before? Specifically their Gathering line. It seems to be the only place to get painted GKs at a reasonable price.
I know it'd be a bootleg but I'd probably be fine with it as long as quality isn't the Belfine-Aqua tier of resin kits.
I feel bad for the Buyfag and /DJT/ but other then that
>people actually getting mad at the new mod for doing his job
Don't know about you guys but i have been seeing a whole less DBS and rampant shitposting threads since new mod took over.
He hasn't even deleted the generals just put them in their fucking place
God fucking bless
I want this, but it doesn't even really look like Aqua.
