>Haruhi announcement on December 18th
The planets are aligned for something big to happen. Will our goddess finally return?
Not to mention this new visual that was released earlier this year.
It's the 10th anniversary too anon, I doubt it'll be pachinko.
My hopes are low, but this year has been full of surprises. I mean, they've rereleased the soundtrack and the blu-rays so they're trying to keep us engaged, it's not like they've completely forgotten about us. There is hope.
Unfortunately I have a really bad feeling that if it comes out, it will be animated by Satelight, which will kill a lot of the hype for if. I say this because Satelight did most of the animation in the most recent Pachinko commerical. KyoAni doesn't give a shit about Haruhi anymore.
>doesn't give a shit about haruhi anymore
I wonder fucking why.
They said about that time that there would be an announcement of some kind about Haruhi in december that couldn't be done then because Aya Hirano was in New York for some reason.
After watching Yuki-chan I realized I wouldn't care who is doing the animation as long as they stick to the story. Haruhi is good enough to survive a shit studio.
Is Trump going to make anime great again?
Haruhi and Lelouch?
>Haruhi is good enough to survive a shit studio.
It's not good enough to survive a shit director though.
Man, you're the only person I see on here that actually liked Yuki-chan. Do you seriously not see how it removed all charm of the series and gave us a generic rom-com? Or do you just not think of the original as charming in the first place?
So damn tasty
Probably sooner than Haruhi, given that there's a new novel coming
> Western media
"I'm really fucking tired of shitty sequels that no one asked for"
"No 4th season?! WAAAAAHHHHHHHHH"
It WILL be S3.
Think about it, why would KyoAni keep on milking a decade-old franchise? Bringing Haruhi back will blow them up with the ka-ching and people all over the world will be nutting over all those fresh doujins.
Literally their master plan. Now we can ACTUALLY wait a little longer and we'll get S3.
You have to think about the other side of this though.
Look at all this shit coming out. Otaku have a limited outcome. They're gonna have to make something really great to beat out R3 as far as blu-ray priorities go.
You forgot one.
Quite Hibikesque I would say.
Looks more Amaburi to me?
I would accept sattelight or any other studio, despite preffering KyoAni - since the arks to be animated in S3 would be good and interesting.
Yuki-chan`s Disappearance failed because it was NOT Haruhi, not because of Sattelight - that actually did good job
I hope so
Purely because 2017 will be even fucking CRAZIER then 2016
>God Knows song
>Superdriver OP (he litterally wrote song for his fuckbuddy Hirano)
>Hare Hare Yukai
>Hare Hare Beam!
>Script and direction for many episodes
>Series production direction
Yeah, kill yourself.
Yamakan fanboys sure are the worst. Where's he now anons? Oh yeah that's right.
By the way the best thing to come out of this franchise was the fucking movie, and Yamakan had literally 0 involvement in that.
Ignorant newfag shitposters are the worst, as you just illustrated. You have zero reason to hate Yamakan other than copying a meme trying to fit in, exposing lack of knowledge of subject and own idiocy.
The Yuki-chan manga is a generic rom-com. I liked the anime it for what it tried to do and didn't put my expectations too high because I knew it wasn't Haruhi even though the characters still made me nostalgic.
Dunno I think Haruhi would benefit from KyoAni's FluffFX technology
>too moe for haruhi.
Say what? Haruhi is one of the shows that is counted as responsible for starting the Moe trend.
Movie had mare sharp style, but both TV seasons were "moe max"
That's because they have the opposite problem. Western media decides ahead of time if something will catch on and pushes it hard and extends something as long as they possibly can.
Eastern media is afraid of commitment and makes every show really short for quick profit, with the exceptions of a few giants.
>Haruhi announcement on December 18th
Every year we get excited and have multiple maxed out threads, analyzing the tiny changes made on haruhi.tv. All for nothing of course. But every year we forget and do it all over again. It's like Endless Eight, but real life.
There's supposed to be another event on the 18th.
Code Geass is anime original and funded by Sunrise themselves.
Haruhi is an LN adaptation and Kyoto Animation received funding from Kadokawa (the publishing company of the Haruhi LNs) to make the series in order to boost LN sales. Kadokawa won't fund a new season of Haruhi unless there are new Haruhi LNs coming out. And currently, the Haruhi LNs have been on hiatus for 5 years.
The author did end it. he said something along the lines of "Everyone is born with a limited amount of words they can write and I'm all out." Unless he gets a second wind, Haruhi is effectively over.
>there's just enough unused content to make a new season.
But that isn't the issue. The issue is that the Haruhi anime was paid for by Kadokawa. But Kadokawa aren't willing to pay for more of it. I'm sure there are staff at KyoAni who remember Haruhi fondly and want to do more of it, the pic here >>150261667 proves that, but they just can't because Kadokawa won't give them the money to do so.
That isn't what happened at all. In the afterword of the first novel, he said as a passing remark that people only have a certain number of words. He didn't say in the context of that the series was over, he said it right at the start. It's just ironic that he said that back then and has seemingly lost the will to write now.
That's a fucking excuse.
He could literally use the same words from previous novels, in different order and fans won't complain.
Of course, he needs a new story but, not writing for lack of words? Nah, that's his excuse for being lazy.
I'd give them a big O if you know what I mean.
3 = shit
2 = super shit
1 = ultra shit
There, now you can use 4 to mean bad and 5 to mean mediocre. 6 should be above average, 7 should be good, 8 should be great, 9 should be amazing, and 10 should be the best.
you're getting really rustled over a rating system
its all personal preference anyways
Yes but it creates confusion when you say "I gave it a 7 because it was average" because that's dumb. Average, or mediocre, should be in the middle, then everyone knows what you're talking about. Then, when you say "It was 5/10" everyone knows you mean it was a middle of the road kinda show.
Shut the fuck up at least you are getting novels every other goddamn month.
text is cool but there's nothing like seeing a story come to life with animation
why the hell do you think FMP fans have held out for so long? the novels have been done since forever but watching it is a totally different experience
That looks good enough for me, I would be happy enough to have a season with that look. Or a new light novel. But I'm not expecting that either will ever happen.
Fuck yeah! We need Yuki-chan jr. animated.
Haruhi doesn't look right with this new art style. She lacks the burning excitement in her eyes. She just looks bewildered here.
This one is fine.
Nagato facial expression isn't as blank as it should be. She looks worried.
Is it just me or does this art suck? It's very boring.
>Will our goddess finally return?
But she did already came back?
>satelight can draw haruhi better than modern kyoani
this is the darkest timeline
Nagato Yuki is real and she's coming to save me from my miserable life?
>pic starts to load
>haruhi face looks good
>all of a sudden cowtits
the fan anticipation of haruhi actually spiked when they released the recent advertisement for the blu rays, thinking itd be live action or other haruhi related material. also dont forget how massive the participation and effort was during haruhi hunting.
>butt plug tail
That's obviously a cat toy anon.
The video feels closer to season 1 designs, which makes me prefer it over pictures like >>150261667
Kyon's Haruhi before he met Haruhi. The weird girl Kunikida was talking about when he mentioned Kyon liked them weird.
They went from school to the train station in his bike and took the train together to prepschool and back for a year. In good terms with his little sister and his mom. Intelligent but not manipulative nor narcissistic. The perfect candidate for goddess.
Doesnt Gainax own TTGL and most of the creators work at Trigger? Hard to believe Gainax would let a money maker like TTGL be made by them again and share money where Gainax is shit now.
I don't think the lack of new LNs means it can never get a new season. An anime can get a sequel even if it fails at selling source material, if it can make money in other ways.
The question is, would Haruhi sell enough to bring in enough money? If it is the best of Kyoani, they may make 6000, but no way it sells more than that.
They can also find other ways to bring in money. For example, they could make J-pop insert songs, perhaps turn SOS Brigade into an idol group and sell their songs. There are ways, even if the source material is dead.
What do you wanna hear about her? She's pretty cool, and it's a shame we most likely won't see her animated.
Sento in Amagi and this.
Not the same though
The manga adaptation of the "Melancholy" arc (=the events taking place in the six chronologically first episodes of the anime) is a strange read. There are a lot of alterations to the story, and things don't happen exactly the way you expect them to happen. The art looks pretty crappy though, and some of the changes mess up the characterizations a bit.
All the later arcs follow the light novels pretty faithfully. Some scenes are changed a little, but I think most of the changes are beneficial. They also add a couple of short stories that were not in the books, and the art style gets a bit closer to the look of the anime series.
If you've already read the novels anyway, I don't see a reason why not check out the manga too. The first arc is interesting because of the changes, while the later ones stick to the novels more closely and work pretty well for refreshing one's memory on the events.
Fuck You with that HUMAN SCUm and that STUPID HAT of maga
That shit gives a false sense of patriotism
At least search with her actual name, not the romaji version.
>that peak during Haruhi hunting back in 2014
>I say this because Satelight did most of the animation in the most recent Pachinko commerical.
That says nothing about who will animate an actual anime. Satelight is part of the same group that makes the pachinko machine, so it's normal that they get to make the animation for it.
Dubs confirms it. Prepare yourselves for Her return, lads.
Stop lying to me /a/, we all know there won't be anything other than
We will just get hyped again for nothing, like every year but in the end of the day we will just watch Disappearance again at december 18 and celebrate the 10th anniversary because that's all we've got to do, and we'll be doing this forever.
>that 2014 bump
Make angry shitposts
Collect rare taakiis.
Use it to improve 日本語 skills
Rewatch it 13 times and pretend it's a new season.
Steal his unfinished manuscripts.
>season 3 animated by kyoani
>live action adaption
Go nuclear. Get sent to hell, but go even deeper. Take back everything that we've lost. Not for honor, not for love, only for revenge. No greater good. No just cause.
There is literally nothing wrong with Yuki-chan
especially since they got the entire dub cast back.
The manga also has a lot of original arcs, which I believe were written by Tanigawa just like the best episode of the show.
I'm going to play it safe and bet everything on new season by kyoani.
I just want Haruhi to be happy
They already do.
I love the idea of Endless Eight, it was just done in the most boring way imaginable. It was a great chance to experiment with animation or different genre styles or whatever, but it was nothing. A wasted opportunity.
It was bold and an artistic achievment just because of the production values and the way similar events were shown very differently in terms of staging and symbolism
Still boring as fuck though
>Read about it a while ago but never saw anything specific
>Full Metal Panic! IV TV Anime Revealed for Fall 2017
I'm so happy, brehs. I watched this shit in high school, have rewatched it a couple of times, and it's still just as great.
I'm hype as fuck.
And I still haven't read the LNs despite having them in the backlog.
>mfw this thread has way more replies than the "Jibun Wo" CG thread even though that one was posted 10 hours earlier and is literally just shitposting
>mfw people are more excited about just the possibility of Haruhi Season 3 than the actual confirmation of CG R3
If the traitor proclaims it, it must be true.
Ah, I'm just playing, I'm excited for both.
The second time doesn't hurt as much as the first.
Oh shit no way, maybe they're preparing for something.
I doubt it.
MOTHER OF GOD
AND THEY WERE BACK TO BACK TOO
Every single year. The 18th comes. The website does something weird. Everyone gets hyped and loses their minds and we get daily threads. And then nothing happens and we all go back to sleep.
Until Dec 18th next year.
This year is different anon! It's the 10th anniversary.
>subtly hinted by intimate scenes, dialogues, evolutions in Kyon's monologues, and the time travel scene, also using awesome scenes like the window jumping
>THEY HAVE A KID LOL
It's not momentum. Nothing as coherent as that.
Just, there's so much dumb disruption and noise that another crazy happening more wouldn't be a surprise.
Maybe Haruhi S3 can be a thing if reality keeps being weird for a few weeks.
Anyone else find Snowy Mountain Syndrome absolutely fucking terrifying? Being locked in, the time changes, nobody knowing whats going on, those bizzare appearences in the night. I was almost in tears as retarded as it sounds at the whole scenario, it would be like a nightmare for me. I'd love to see an adaptation of it. Hopefully they'll change the end puzzle because that could have been a whole lot more interesting
Haven't read yuki-chan so idk how shit it is but we actually do need some legit post-kissu animes. Give me that fucking Clannad minus the drama experience.
The Yuki spinoff was horrible cancer. A perfect example of inmates running the asylum.
>let's take everything that made Haruhi's characters interesting three dimensional people with hidden motivations, including Kyon whose monologues are full of inconsistencies and possible subtlety. And remove it. All of it. Everything that gets in the way of a generic high school romance story.
>Do you like Yuki as she was originally - difficulty with emotions and alien-ness and all? Too bad. Here's a generic girl with glasses. IT'S NAGATO, WE SWEAR.
