I really like the way the story and world was set up. We have our dual protagonists each doing their own thing, and every time they meet each other it's a huge event. All the side characters do their own thing in the meantime, but interactions they have with either Suzuko or Chinatsu affect the other one too. Like Shouhei here, who first ran into Suzu, then reunited with Chinatsu, then saw how much Suzuko cares about her, and now finally takes that information back to Chinatsu and influences her with it. This all happens naturally in the scope of the city, and using the same landmarks and places throughout the episodes makes each one more memorable.

Honestly, the most disappointing thing about Lostorage is that we have nothing to top or even par a wincest main heroine with a ridiculous amount of focus. Instead we have Suzu who's kinda bland but realistic, and battoru-berserker-font-of-entertainment Chinatsu. Where's the immorality? I was seriously expecting polygamy, traps/reverse traps or straight-up murder. I mean, by this point in Selector,, Aki-lucky had already lost her mind and gone stabbity stabbity two main characters were pseudo-dead (Hitoe in ep. 3/4 and Akira), and Yuzuki was tumbling down like a boulder.

That's how it was in the original Selector battles. It's only fitting.

Keep in mind that this particular rendition has an arbitrary 90 day time limit, so if you keep yourself between 1-4 you're golden. You'll probably lose all your treasured memories given the whole upkeep process, but hey, better than being bodyjacked.

Can we talk for a minute about how incredible Narumi-oniichan's breakdown was? He went from pretty much okay, to righteously angry, to various levels of despair and insanity. When he tried to use a Trap despite not having any it almost felt like Chinatsu had cast Berserk on him, but it was all natural. I could almost feel it myself when he started smashing his head on the wall, and then his final Out Dust attack in desperation sealed him into a catatonic state when it failed. The utter broken shell of a man by the end could probably never recover even if he did win. I just wish that Aaya herself talked to him a bit more during the battle. I want to see a LRIG desperately plea with their Selector to not lose their last coin. I can see Dona doing that if the time comes for Shou.

So, which one will die before the cour is up - Chinatsu, or Suzu? We all know that their final fight will have Chinatsu throw everything on the table and Homura being coin-poor.

Money is on Suzu dying after she snaps Chinatsu out of it. Even if she realizes her feelings mid-match, there still has to be a victor, Suzu is the type of girl who would readily sacrifice herself for her waifu.

So unlike the previous selector system which is some sort of fucked up Monkey's Paw at worst, there is literally no good side to the current system.

Most of the LRIGs this time seem entirely malevolent too. The previous system's LRIGs were previous Selectors caught in bodyswapping shenanigans. But this time, LRIGs are existences drawn from the subconscious of their Selectors. If Bookmaker-kun's words towards the end of the episode are indicators, the LRIGs of the current system aren't exactly fond of humans. Or at the very least, they aren't "human" in the same sense that LRIGs of the previous system were.

Kiyoi's behaviour seems to indicate that she's fighting/investigating the current system in some way. What I find strange is that Kiyoi is the only veteran of the previous system taking visible action.

I guess after going through all that shit, it's not that out of the box to think that Selectors of the previous system don't want anything to do with Wixoss anymore, but I find it hard to believe that Jesus Ruuko will just let all this shit go on without her trying to do something about it.

That's becauase Lostorage is taking into account something common between this new generation of Selectors in the current Selector System. Let me make this more clear:

The current status about the selectors:
Suzuko - Contact with Chinatsu
Chinatsu - Herself/true real self
Hanna - Little brother
Shohei - Ability to play soccer
Shou - Little sister
Rio - Mama

Can you see a pattern here? That's right, in the new generation of Selectors it seems they have lost something. This explains why Kiyoi is actually a Selector based on her story in Peeping Analyze:
Kiyoi - Sakaguchi

In the end of the story, the main cast of the series didn't lost something and this goes from Ruuko to Fumio, they still got what they wanted with the system: Ruuko has Tama/Yuki, Hitoe has friends, Yuzuki has Kazuki/Hanayo. Akira has original Iona, Kiyoi and Rurun as friends, Chiyori has Eldora, Fumio has both Anne and Futase, even Ulith is now with Sachi in the darkness beyond time.

I think that's the reason why no one from the old cast has been picked as a Selector again, despite they still play WIXOSS except for Kiyoi, since she really has lost someone and thus in her new situation she is trying to do something in order to find the culprit or destroy the new system and won't tell anyone since is now her time to fix the things.

I will seriously need the subtitles, I have noticed strange issues with the characters in this episode, the voice tones have changed for Suzuko, but not only for her, but also for Mel, which is what surprised me the most.

Finally, when it was going to give the finishing touch to Dona, literally made a gesture of excitement with this creepy face.

I do not know what the implications of these sudden changes in this episode are, or Mel suffered changes due to Suzuko's own behavior, which leads us to quite interesting issues, or Mel is adopting is adopting a behavior which fits the edginess of Chinatsu.
