I tried reading the novel, but it was one of the most retarded and autistic things I've ever read. What the hell is it even going for? Who is the target audience for this? This is something that nobody but the author would ever sit down and think "yeah, I want this to exist."
If it was just "alternate universe nazi magical loli" I would be pretty excited but the "isekai salaryman body-swap" part sound really stupid.
I'm not really surprised to hear that it's shit but I'll probably watch it anyway.
SECOND reich, not third reich. Get your shit right, this is Wilhelm II Imperial Germany, not Hitler the copycat.
The goose stepping, the smart uniforms, all that shit was copied from the German Army of 1914, since hitler was nostalgic for the good old days running around in a muddy trench dodging shells.
Not even exaggerating- part of his personality is that he enjoyed WW1 more than his life as a hobo.
It's more stupid than it's possible to imagine. My biggest problem is that it stacked way too much bizarre autistic concepts on top of each other for no apparent reason. If only half the premises were used I may be able to tolerate it, but it's too damn much.
>Story is set in psuedo-WW1 Germany
Oh that sounds kinda cool.
>But there wizards and mages flying around and the magic system is described in autistic depth
okay, I don't get why, but maybe this will work somehow.
>and MC is a loli german wizard commander
I like lolis, but that's pretty retarded
>also it's actually a male middle-aged salaryman reincarnated as a loli. This also has no actual baring on any of the characters or story.
I just couldn't suspend my disbelief to accept the setting the author set up. It's utterly retarded, makes no sense, and is full arbitrary but very specific decisions which genuinely made me wonder if he has a mental illness.
The WW2 German Army's traditions and uniforms are directly descended from the Imperial German Army. Hitler didn't copy them out of nostalgia but rather the German military of the post WW1 years simply continued the evolution of uniform designs and traditions already established by Imperial Germany and Prussia.
These traditions didn't carry over in to the modern Bundeswehr but surprisingly enough were still present in the East German Army.
Got to agree.
Is not just a fictional story based on a heavy patch worked and custom sewn WW setting. Is one where there is a genius loli as the MC. Add to that, fucking new retarded fantasy shit. Even if you can stomach all that, the MC is a fucking self-insert for fucking middle age men/author.
Jesus, nipland must be, MUST be running out of works to adapt. This is bottom pick.
I think I get what you mean.
I can be ok with a retarded premise if the author uses well the possibilities offered by said premise. Like how Log Horizon tackles the questions that arise from it's "mmorpg but not really mmorpg" setting (are the npc real persons, where does the money come from, how much can you abuse the system and tons of other things) and makes plot points out of it.
On the other hand Overlord has a nearly identical premise to Log Horizon but the whole mmorpg and isekai thing is just a stupid gimmick (at least up to what happens in the manga, I haven't read the novels and don't plan to).
What teh fuck now I love Hermann Göring
>These traditions didn't carry over in to the modern Bundeswehr but surprisingly enough were still present in the East German Army.
Because the Bundeswehr is garbage run by some idiot who invited a bunch of turks
There's a difference between simple character models and how they actually work in the anime.
Remember when this was all we had to go on for the Part 4 adaptation?
Or how about One Punch Man? Everyone thought that adapting a Yusuke Murata manga was impossible after the whole Eyeshield 21 fiasco. And people are still up in arms about the fact that it got a second season so quickly.
My point is - at least wait until the first episode to call it shit.
Garbage they don't even goosestep, no Prussian military theme absolute dogshit
>Shitty blazer cut suit.
Yeah no. The Bundeswehr looks miserably shit on parade.
Are post like OP's done ironically or does the average /a/ user not realize how an overly detailed character design correlates with animation? It's like you want the show to be a slideshow.
I'm sure that they can do better than pic related.
Because Aoi Yũki!
like he said
The whole thing will be orgasmic.
