This episode finally gives a clue about the season one ED. Reoko is shown walking just like in Laetitia's brain trip. The backgrounds are the same. It's the same background as when they all dove into Oubu in the first episode when they were jumping ship down to the surface.
I've kind of had the impression that it's somehow how the inside of a Buranki looks like outside of the cockpit/bridge. Or the inside when/if the cockpit/bridge isn't established.

Which also appears to look like the Buranki homeworld or whatever, if this episode is to be believed.
I am sure Reoko saw many of the same images that Laetitia saw, or other imagery similar to it. Only that Reoko stayed sane through it.

I already expected this book to be great. But this exceeded all my expectations. This is amazing!

I was thinking something along those lines myself.
Everyone in the show seems to alluding to Magna being in space with the comet but that doesn't really look like the case.

I always thought the island was a space ship of some kind. But after this episode where we got to see the shape of the Magna itself. And how all the Buranki walked into it.
And lastly, with how Migiwa couldn't even scratch the island even after all that she did. I feel like everything is pointing towards the island being the Magna itself, yes. The comet, its heart or not, seems to be something else related to it.

On one level it was to create suspense while providing a good opportunity for exposition and character development for the related parties.

But in the end, it does make sense in character and all.
From the looks of things, Migiwa has been less in the know about Guy than most of our main cast by now, but she must have known about Demokratia and their actions still. So with all that has been going on, and with the island sunk, she quite naturally I imagine, wanted to find out more.
And unlike most of the cast, she doesn't appear to fear Guy or Demokratia. So she just waltzed right up to him to get the information close and personal.

And after having had said talk, she re-evaluated the situation and decided to destroy treasure island. Which I don't think was something she was considering before her conversation with Guy.
She just failed.

For what it's worth, Duroc called Migiwa her friend. And with how similar Duroc and Oubu are in appearance, they may very well be related to some degree too.
