>Just 3 weeks until the anime is over
>VA next year, maybe
What did you guys think of today's episode V2
>mfw a new level of smugness is reached in JoJo
Tht's because of the change in fur's overall direction reflecting different amounts of light and different parts of the environment around,
it doesn't actually change color...
Vento Aureo, Golden Wind, Ougon no Kaze... same shit
>Not thinking it's gonna be called Golden Wind
I don't like the name Golden Wind much but I'm pretty sure it's what they'll go with as the English name.
Why would it? Araki is way too fond of his italians to let that slide
Are we just supposed to make "what did you guys think of the JoJo episode" threads until the mods decide to not delete JoJo threads with the pastebin ?
I don't really care either way.
I'd be more glad if they cut this, it's completely out of place and ruins the tense mood.
They are probably going to go with Golden Wind as the localization name, the japs will just stick with the jap name
>I want to go to Morioh
>then i woke up
>It made me feel real alone...
Is this "no generals" janny actually so fucking stupid that this is all it takes to not count as a general? Like, they must see it's the exact same thing.
In the middle of the fucking fight, right after Josuke hides in a house.
It always bugs me tht VA caught on over GW but Aceto never caught on for Doppio.
I know nobody calls him Vinegar but it still strikes me as odd when I come across older art or discussions and people use Aceto.
I wish they had a closeup of this. I remember reading it and laughing my ass off at this expression.
I thought that too, but I feel like Kira may be unable to control his urges and end up killing Shinobu at some point along his life.
>yfw you realize that, if the girl in the photo album in one of Kira's group shots is actually Aya, she probably recognized him
In the anime he was there when that woman came running out of the Salon talking about how her luck was changed, so maybe he decided as an absolute last-ditch effort he'd go there.
This moment right here is MENACING as fuck
People probably went with Doppio mainly because that's what the actors say in the video games
Hope /a/ enjoys the multiple jojo threads up at once. We kept it in one as a courtesy, easy to filter and doesn't clog the catalog, but it seems our mods and people from /qa/ prefer it this way. Be sure to thank them.
Now I need fan art of Killer Queen piggybacking Kira as he cries like a little baby
Clearly where all of the effort and money should go to
smart choice David
>David Productions will never make a Jojo-based Pepsi anime
Yea I put some thought into it and I think it might actually be better just because of how good the build up is towards it.
Joseph's trying to tell it to Jotaro and then it's like a minute of him fucking with people in dubstep land.
I'd agree but there's something so damn cool about how they did it.
>The way the music amped up when you thought Rohan finally found out Kira's identity.
>It stopping DEAD and scrolling over the "Rohan Kishibe was killed" character by character.
>Killer Queen actually appearing in his eyes, + that transition.
>The moment where Rohan reaches for Koichi and Killer Queen shows up right in front of his vision ready to blow his ass up.
>The God-tier animation and voice acting of Rohan's death and seeing Bite the Dust through Hayato's own perspective with his screaming.
I feel fully confident now that DP will not fuck up this finale, this episode alone had the same amount of budget as the first 5 episodes, or even more in some scenes.
>wanting things to be cut
maximum bait/legit autism
Hayato had all of those tapes though. Surely someone would have found them eventually, or Hayato could have just left those tapes for jojo to find.
What if Hayato posted that video of Kira on Youtube, would millions of people get blown up at once?
This. I always assumed the sudden surge of power turned his hair grey as a side effect.
That weird added scene of him slicking his hair back and it suddenly turning white kinda killed that, though
That was the idea, same with Giorno's hair changing when he awakened GE.
OH WELL THOUGH, HE JUST BRUSHED THAT SHIT BACK
does japanese hair work that way can araki do that to his hair
If Kira had BTD on Hayato permanently, then he could never use Killer Queen's bombs again, right? How would he kill without leaving behind evidence?
If he left evidence and the police tracked him down, would BTD activate even if Hayato wasn't related to his identity being discovered?
I thought the idea that him combing his hair back revealed all his white hairs due to stress made some sense, considering how many close calls he's gotten in and how in the scene before he was literally beginning to chew his fingers off.
Makes some sense to me, I mean, he just survived getting impaled by an arrow right up his arm and straight into his jaw before being pulled into a BTD loop, I'd go grey too from being scared shitless.
>Pepsiman will never get an anime
THIS IS THE TRUE POWER OF MY STAND, BITE ZA DUST!?
I have to ask, maybe /a/ knows. What's up with studios doing this shit where they black it out? Do they ever plan to release the uncensored version? I thought the way you go about doing this is to just keep whatever it is offscreen and hint at it. I've been seeing this shit all over anime the last few years.
>What's up with studios doing this shit where they black it out?
Weird ass censorship laws. Remember Jotaro's cigarette being covered in black?
>Do they ever plan to release the uncensored version?
For the BD yea.
>Makes sense, but I swear I've seen BDs where they don't remove it. Very confusing.
Maybe they just didn't bother.
In those cases I genuinely don't know why
they were probably lazy hacks
>that clear and concise explanation in the anime
I'm positive Kira didn't have that whole monologue in the Manga and never stresses how the whole bomb setting encounter encounter will no longer happen in the next timeline
>Anime onlys are STILL confused
David will give you a full monolgue explaining all of King Crimsom's abilities with example clips, and that will still not stop the "it just works" meme from reaching critical mass.
Yeah he does have a full monologue about the ability being explain in the manga, just checked
>tfw I see people saying BtD is a shitty and the arrow came outta nowhere with no explanation
>I'm positive Kira didn't have that whole monologue in the Manga
Well, it seems that the Arrow act's on it's own, like a Green Lanter Ring:
>Those Stand users who have a great wish and strong willpower will get a Requiem Stand
>Polnareff wanted to protect the arrow, and BAM! SILVER CHARIOT REQUIEM!
>Giorno wanted to defeat Diavolo and his OP bullshit power and BAM! GOLD EXPERIENCE REQUIEM!
Same with Kira, he wanted to stop hidding and live a quiet life, he desired that no one knew who he was or what he did and BAM! BITE ZA DUSTO!
not him but the "ass pull" here would be the idea that the arrow can add abilities. However Araki hasn't explored what happens to an Arrow victim who already has a stand yet, so exploring it now is fair game. You also have to take into the account that this is a perfectly belivable accudent since Yoshihiro carries that thing everywhere and is now spending time with Yoshikage.
>i'll show you the true Bite The Dust ability
>not just having Rohan getting exploded a 2nd time and the kid waking up for the extra mindfuckery
Seriously, that line was really unnecessary. It's like they thought their crowd were a bunch of "walking her home gently" faggots.
>that feel when the Jojo crew being BTFO won't be the end of episode cliffhanger, but instead we will end on the most embarassing and pathetic moment of Araki's career, aka Kira outting himself for no reason
>He said Kira, you sperg, not Rohan
>Doesn't see that big panel dedicated to Killer Queen/Kira talking about the ability
AU where Hayato wholeheartedly accepts his new dad, now Kira has to deal with his son wanting his own superpowers and him occasionaly blurting out how awesome his dad is.
>"My dad can blow up your dad!"
I was referring to this scene. Yeah its there in the Manga but anime monologue seems much more concise with explaining its an hour and how Hayato came back to life.
Why don't you go back to the One Piece thread and defend Oda while you're at it, you raging yellow semen lover faggot.
Saying your own name out loud for no reason is autistic and stupid as fuck, no matter how much the japs love this meme, specially when you present the readers one of the most broken and interesting abilities so far.
Even King Crimson was less garbage because there was some effort involved in getting the I WIN arrow and it was stabilished in a proper time that getting the arrow would be the win condition for the Jojo crew, instead of "nah, fuck that shit, i'm retconning myself in the most retarded way".
Part 5 is gonna be animated starting next year.
No shit it was stupid as fuck, but did you literally not watch any of this most recent episode? Where you just staring at something else on your desk that was more interesting to you while Kira was parading about taking huge risks because of how smug he was that Bites the Dust completely defended him in every way?
Yeah, Kira has the worst true moment of defeat, but you're
a stupid frog posterso I will say that Kira is just dumb salary man, through and though.
He fucks up with Josuke in SHA, and then he fucked up when he didn't expect Josuke to be right behind him when every other day he was harassing his son by himself.
It's fucking stupid though, yeah.
Kira is a fuckin' idiot.
>Trying this hard
Don't cut yourself with that edge now
Bite the Dust animated is everything I was hoping for.
Looking forward to the crew getting nuked.
>Polnareff wanted to protect the arrow, and BAM! SILVER CHARIOT REQUIEM!
But he didn't. The very first time SCR was created, Polnareff was perfectly safe by himself in his house, and was merely trying to retrieve the arrow. He didn't even know it had any special properties at the time either, other than producing stand-users.
Just letting you know, DiU's manga translation is actually just a proofread duwang, and most likely, the page you posted is just a mistranslation.
Take the upper left panel in pic related as an example. That is a translation of 0:48 in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3LTtrWN3Og
If you look at the original manga, the anime is the correct one out of these two.
So seering as these logically don't happen simultaneously (he has to individually get in each head) are we going to get a desperate scene of each seeing the one next to them get blown up and being unable to do anything before KQ gets in their eye?
I hope so and that he takes Jotaro out first for obvious reasons.
Could be unintentional. Araki's a whore for head deaths and has most Villains and JoJos deaths play out this way.
Honestly, I think taking Jotaro out last would actually have more of an emotional impact. He's the most experienced of them and is the leader of the Kira investigation team, him watching as the teenagers who looked up to him are destroyed before he can even do anything would be great. It'd also help leave a sense of him not being able to protect them, and foreshadow how it'd be them who'd have to do most of the final fight against Kira.
Time-stop could be an issue but maybe it could happen so fast he doesn't have time to trigger it, or something.
>too fast to trigger
Just not possible to watch all three get blown up individually and still not make it. Granted he won't be able to do anything if he doesn't time stop in mid body shift but no way are they adding that much filler. Let Josuke be the grieving last man here.
Honestly if we are doing a one by one instead of all at once it should be from right to left, getting rid of Jotaro first cuz it would be awkawrd if he doesnt do any time stop at all while it happens, Ko-chan, Okuyasu and Josuke as the last one since hes the mc
no he can't, Jotaro didn't take a direct hit from SHA. This is an inside the head explosion that fully disintegrates like Shigechi. You can't even bring these people back as vampires, they are gone.
>This is an inside the head explosion that fully disintegrates like Shigechi. You can't even bring these people back as vampires, they are gone.
Hayato was blown apart from the inside EXACTLY like Shiggy was, but Josuke healed him before he could die. BTD seems to function the same way, with Rohan having enough time to move about and scream before he got blown completely up.
shut the fuck up
did I ask for you to reply to my post asking what you thought of it? no. it's a funny post, I liked it. I would have upvoted it if I were on reddit. but no, we're here. on a website without an upvote system, so I have to take the time to type out "underrated post" and fill in the captcha. I wouldn't have gone through this shit if it was a bad post, or even an overrated post. I enjoyed the connection he made between these two shows I also enjoy.
In JoJo, death seems to be defined more by the soul leaving the body rather than the brain being disconnected or destroyed. Hayato's head is clearly blowing apart from the inside here (as seen by the big crack through his face) but he was still able to be saved, similar to how Jotaro had the top half of his head separated entirely from his body with Atom Heart Father. Because Josuke got to them before their souls fucked off, they were fine.
That was his heart, wasn't it.
Plus there's this shit
Vampire magic is the only explanation I can give.
Buccellati's soul left his body an instant before Giorno healed it and ended up a zombie, Joseph was dead for at least several minutes and was fine, it's very inconsistent.
All we can really agree on at this point is that Josuke wouldn't be able to heal them since they were meant to die there. Araki clearly failed to establish rules here.
if anything, suppose it's the hayday a few years later. Hayato uploads the evidence, and leaves cryptic messages so BtD can't make him go back an hour. It's all seen as some shitty ARG, and Hayato goes back to being a mute in fear that anything he says could trigger this oddly specific ability that has struck him in 1999.
Or if it's some shonen spinoff, then Hayato becomes a spy who abuses BtD by going back after learning special intel.
But as shown by >>150196788 and >>150196827
Josuke can heal someone who was killed with the same kind of bomb as Shigechi. If he'd got to Shigechi in time he'd have been able to heal him too.
Clearly not possible as Shogechi wasn't fucking there at all in any sense. He can't put his hand IN the explosion, that'll fail and take out his arm. The explosion isn't consistent, but if good enough the victim is truly erased.
If his insane bet with Kira screaming like a massive faggot what his name was, Hayato could have just run to the nearest person, say who Kira was and loop it all over again and again until he gets it right.
Thank goodness he got it right the first time he attempted to fuck up Kira's day.
>just days of Hayato messing up and then just deadpan face telling people who Kira is while they blow up
What are the odds the OP will Bite the Dust next week lads? The week after?
they'll probably do it once the fight actually starts (aka after Josuke shows up)
Is anyone else still annoyed at KQ's anime design?
no more suffering for mr stardust please
>nothing to gain
What about the fact that Hayato actively can resist, fight, and try to kill him?
Or that Shinobu is just another pretty girl with nice hands and its shown at the end of That's Not My Dad that he wanted to start up his killings again?
If he won and beat the main crew, he would have almost certainly killed both of them immediately.
>Or that Shinobu is just another pretty girl with nice hands and its shown at the end of That's Not My Dad that he wanted to start up his killings again?
Killing again doesn't mean killing her or hayato.
Questions, how come they aren't using grandpa's Hermit Purple to find Kira's identity?
How come it wasn't even brought up? It was a big trump card when trying to find lightning man, yet now it's worthless?
He needs to be a bit pinker in some episodes / scenes. He looked weird at first with the goblin ears but they've seemed to fix him as the series went on.
Other than that I don't mind it
How come they didn't use hamon to fix/kill okuyasu's dad.
It's called "This shit happens all the damn time in every media because it makes for a more interesting story, but yea it's kind of stupid that [power] wasn't used to solve something"
He realised that would end 4 to quickly so he started to throw a bunch of shit at you and pushing Joseph to the corner so you would forget about that, was can create as many excuses as we want but at the end of the day he "forgot", I could've been fine if he adressed it but no, not acknowledging it at all is even worst
Araki wrote in way too many good guys and way too many other plots in part 4. Kira's plot doesn't really work when you take into account how much help the heroes have gathered. He should logically get found and stomped immediatly.
Just think of part 4 from Rohan's intro onwards as a new part.
Fuck I was really hoping this wasn't the case.
It honestly would've been great if he jut made gramps leave to take the baby to someone the Speedwagon foundation had found that could raise it.
They are part of his quiet life. Hayato is pacified by his mother's life being at risk and he starts liking the mother in a weird way. He would never have killed them. He would have just treated them like his job; another thing he has to do in order to appear normal to society.
Hermit Purple is an unreliable stand at best. In SDC, when Joseph used it at the start he got spammed with pictures of DIO, the vast majority of which were useless. When he tried to use it to locate DIO's mansion the picture was only a start, too. And it seems actively useless by the time DIU rolls around, with Joseph only managing to take pictures of Angelo when he'd been trying to photograph Josuke.
I liked how the episode just had tons of little bits that looked like they were subtley helping to point out shit was wrong but were actually unrelated.
>Oh you're awake Hayato? That weird. (viewer thinks the same thing but that he shouod be dead)
>Wait we're on already? (news guy)
>Shinobu finally gets pissed at Hatayo
>They have the wrong number
>Kira's original face moves his eyes to look at Rohan when he puts 2 and 2 together
>the red pause at Rohan getting implanted
>can show little boys' penises
>can't show a 17 year old smoking
>Jotaro stops time to try and stop Bites The Dust
>it does nothing and he blows up while everything is frozen
god that'd be hype as fuck. the most broken ability completely useless against bite za dusto
what did he mean by this?
>Rohan gets blown up
>"Why couldn't it have been Koichi?!"
Waiting a few months for BD is easy when you tead this stuff years ago
It's because Araki had to settle for writing comic books, since he isn't an intriguing author. Jojo is one of the dullest franchises in the history of anime franchises. Every part, a new Jojo and his little friends go after a villain and save the day, and yet it is indistinguishable from the rest. Aside from the colorful imagery, the series' only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of the animation medium, all to make psychic imagery un-psychedelic, to make action inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Araki vetoed the idea of Ufotable directing the series; he made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody, just a ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for the video games. The Jojo franchise might be pro-homosexuality, or not, but it is certainly the anti-Type Moon series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact, and in three weeks, they will thankfully no longer have to.
"A-at least the manga was good though!"
The writing is dreadful, the art atrocious. As I read, I noticed every time there was a fight, there was just ass-pulls worse than Death Note, where characters ended up inexplicably behind one-another.
I began marking this down, and haven't stopped all the way until part 8. I was incredulous. Araki's mind is so governed by shonen tropes and recycling part four that he has no other style of writing. Later, I read a lavish, loving review of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure by the same Hideaki Anno. He wrote something to the effect of: "If these otaku are reading Jojo's Bizarre Adventure non-stop for thirty wasted years, then when they branch out into the anime medium, they'll go on to enjoy Neon Genesis Evangelion." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure," you are, in fact, trained to watch and enjoy Evangelion.
This reminds me of something...
Maybe Yoshikage Kira ceased to exists and he became Kosaku Kawajiri, but since that name isn't as marketable or we got to used to Kira we jus stuck with Kira
maybe thats why Joseph doesn't use HP, hes a different person
I wish they would end next episode on the whole crew dying. Hot damn the tears would be astral.
Why didn't they ask Yuya to track Kira with the button or anything from his house?
Yoshikage Kira stopped living as Yoshikage Kira, and sucessfully stole Kosaku Kawajiri's identity completely. He's been reborn, with enhanced powers and another identity. I find this more fitting than "stand: Killer Queen; User: Yoshikage Kira" since Yoshikage Kira disapeared from existance after stealing somebody's identity, Kosaku Kawajiri's.
He didn't disappear from existence at all, the whole point of him disguising himself in the first place was to demonstrate his inability to become a different person. He even calls himself 'Yoshikage Kira' at the end, and his last appearance in the manga was him having reverted to his original, natural appearance.
I'd say it means in any 1v1 fight, Star Platinum wins.
Araki says only another Jotaro could beat Jotaro, so i'd say we can take his word for that.
He only lost to Pucci because he threw the knives at Jolyne.
>Araki says only another Jotaro could beat Jotaro
So whens Jotaro Black gonna be a thing?
Hey guys, anyone want to talk about Yoshikage Kira?
So, why couldn't Joseph use Hermit Purple and take a spirit photo which would've more than likely given them a picture of Kosaku, which could later be compared with Rohan's pictures.
Even if the spirit photo was of poor quality again, Jotaro was there and could easily draw the image in clear clarity.
King Crimson is only good when it can get within punching distance of the opponent which doesn't work on long range stands or automatic stands.
Diavolo also can't spam time skip so after dodging something like Geb or Aqua Necklace a few times it would eventually kill him.
King Crimson is overpowered against other punch ghosts but against anything else it's basically shit.
There's no reasonable way we can say if Jotaro or DIO can't.
We don't know how their powers interact at all and we aren't Araki.
However I do think it's safe to say Jotaro could, considering the whole "Only another Jotaro could be Jotaro" thing.
Is BTD the most overpowered weapon ever?
If Kira had an ally, he could implant BTD into them and send them round to tell whoever he wanted about Yoshikage Kira. He made a big fucking mistake implanting it in a kid who was actively working against him.
If he did not implant it into this kid, either he would have to kill him and give up and being the person he isn't, or he would have his new identity showed to the world and would've lost.
But yeah man, one of BTD's biggest weakness is the nature of its owner: Yoshikage Kira wants to live a quiet life, and works alone.
As Kira says, he could have let Hayato die the last night and implant the third bomb on the mother once they main crew came to investigate.
And he could have just killed everyone while they touched the door of their homes/rooms if he wanted, as he says in the final fight.
He just kills some women out of necessity, he isn't going to kill more than he needs. That he killed the boyfriend was mainly because he had spend weeks (or maybe months) without killing anyone.
Now I want one of these for BITES THE DUST
BtD is a defense stand, it's not meant to kill but to create a reality where truth is kept hidden, thus leading to Kira's "quiet life".
Putting it on an ally wouldn't make any sense
He could just skip over the time when the mold forms on his body.
Would never activate, since diavolo could see what would happen if carne was killed. The stand only goes after the people who killed the user, anyway
This might beat him but he might be able to skip over the tower turning him into metal when he tries to leave
His plan was to become the leader of the strongest nation in the world. He didn't care about America or its people, he just wanted to be powerful.
Always pisses me off when people say he's morally ambiguous - he's just as evil as any other character in the series.
After watching the anime I only have one question about BtD: how long in time does it send people back? Is it always an hour? Because for the longest time I thought it reset the entire day, but every time it's used it always sends Hayato back from 8:30 to 7:30, which is also the same time he woke up.
Kira states that the very act of activating BtD in someone rewinds one hour. However, BtD blowing up someone will result in rewinding back to the 'beginning' of the day.
This was a huge plothole in the manga, since it was never specified time rewinded by one hour when he put it in Hayato, and later on when Kira tries putting it in the nurse before he dies, Hayato starts screaming that all the people at the scene will blow up, which makes no sense at all - the proper translation would be that Kira would be sent back one hour.
Fucking Araki. Aight, I guess that makes sense. It wouldn't be as useful if it just sent Hayato back in time 1 hour. Then Kira wouldn't be able to tell whether he's blown someone up.
I know that all frogposters deserve to be eviscerated but what he's saying is right.
If you look at all the 'final asspull strategies', from Jonathan using fire to get past Dio's freezing to Tusk Act 4's existence, Kira saying his name at the wrong time is the dumbest.
Every other conclusion has had some logical followup of events to the main villain's death. Here, Hayato literally just gets lucky (and it's not even like Joseph where luck his part of his character - in fact, it's even worse because luck is definitely a part of Kira's character) and Kira fucks up at exactly the wrong time (not to mention just a second away from blowing up Rohan a third time).
And then don't get me started on Josuke's "it's dried blood so it's not part of my body", that stupid as fuck "guy stealing panties" joke that ruins the mood, Kira taking forever to put his thumb down to activate BtD (or being unable to do because Koichi used Act 3), or the worst offender, Okuyasu coming back to life. Araki showed he was willing to carry out deaths of people close to the main character with Josuke's grandpa, but he couldn't kill the literally useless brojo?
I think what endears people to part 4's final battle is that our main villain, who is relatively weak compared to other villains like Dio or Diavolo, suddenly turns into this time manipulating killer who actually does almost kill the whole main cast. But the whole battle, moreso Crazy D than BtD, just feels rushed and shoddily done, with the worst asspulls in the series bar part 2.
It's not really Araki's fault, more that of the translator's.
Kira does actually properly explain BtD in the original manga, but the translators screwed up and left out the fact BtD triggering loops time by an hour, and then sort of bullshitted with the nurse scene at the end because they probably didn't want to go back and revise.
But it's ok because le epin watch and breaking your face and 'MISSION FUCKING ACCOMPLISHED' haha amirite
