Honestly, I think taking Jotaro out last would actually have more of an emotional impact. He's the most experienced of them and is the leader of the Kira investigation team, him watching as the teenagers who looked up to him are destroyed before he can even do anything would be great. It'd also help leave a sense of him not being able to protect them, and foreshadow how it'd be them who'd have to do most of the final fight against Kira.

Time-stop could be an issue but maybe it could happen so fast he doesn't have time to trigger it, or something.

In JoJo, death seems to be defined more by the soul leaving the body rather than the brain being disconnected or destroyed. Hermit Purple is an unreliable stand at best. In SDC, when Joseph used it at the start he got spammed with pictures of DIO, the vast majority of which were useless. When he tried to use it to locate DIO's mansion the picture was only a start, too. And it seems actively useless by the time DIU rolls around, with Joseph only managing to take pictures of Angelo when he'd been trying to photograph Josuke.

It's because Araki had to settle for writing comic books, since he isn't an intriguing author. Jojo is one of the dullest franchises in the history of anime franchises. Every part, a new Jojo and his little friends go after a villain and save the day, and yet it is indistinguishable from the rest. Aside from the colorful imagery, the series' only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of the animation medium, all to make psychic imagery un-psychedelic, to make action inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Araki vetoed the idea of Ufotable directing the series; he made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody, just a ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for the video games. The Jojo franchise might be pro-homosexuality, or not, but it is certainly the anti-Type Moon series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact, and in three weeks, they will thankfully no longer have to.

The writing is dreadful, the art atrocious. As I read, I noticed every time there was a fight, there was just ass-pulls worse than Death Note, where characters ended up inexplicably behind one-another.

I began marking this down, and haven't stopped all the way until part 8. I was incredulous. Araki's mind is so governed by shonen tropes and recycling part four that he has no other style of writing. Later, I read a lavish, loving review of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure by the same Hideaki Anno. He wrote something to the effect of: "If these otaku are reading Jojo's Bizarre Adventure non-stop for thirty wasted years, then when they branch out into the anime medium, they'll go on to enjoy Neon Genesis Evangelion." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure," you are, in fact, trained to watch and enjoy Evangelion.

King Crimson is only good when it can get within punching distance of the opponent which doesn't work on long range stands or automatic stands.
