Rem is sweet and loyal and she's throwing herself at Subaru. If you were self inserting as Subaru then Rem is certainly an easily obtainable high quality romantic partner.

That's really all there is to it. She has enough good qualities that she can be well liked by a majority of fans and she's very easily obtainable so people turn their focus to her instead of anyone else.

Cultists are listed as "kill on sight" so. Even then the Witch Miasma should be enough evidence. Now people should have gone "maybe if I talked to him first" you forgot in the first loop they left off on pretty good terms before the ulgrams killed him through mana drain. After the first loop he started becoming suspicious as fuck, knowing places in the mansion a newcomer shouldn't know and such. If you watch or read those loops he pretty much looked like a spy.

Yup. In the second loop he was intentionally holding back from work because he wanted a perfect repeat of his first loop down to being a shitter at his job, even though Ram spotted it. I recommend that anon read the novel version of From Zero as it's a lot more detailed and makes sure you don't miss anything. You can't really hate Subaru more for being the cause of his own shitty life and attitude anymore than he already hates himself. That's also part of why he carried that fantasy hero delusion, to patch up his self esteem and make up for being a complete fuck-up in the old world.
