I second this. I've read all ~800 chapters in a couple months, and it's pretty cool how stuff that was referenced in chapter ~200 shows up again in ~600.

I guess it depends on personality, but I do find enjoyable not being able to read a new chapter for a week, particularly during more dynamic stretches when every chapter gets some new big reveal and I anticipate new chapter instead of immediately reading it. Although it does get a bit boring in sort of mid-arc parts when you know perfectly well who all the players are along with their motivation and each chapter is characters running forward in order to get to the big fight(Dressrosa was particularly bad for it).

There's too much ifs about this idea. One of the strengths of literature is the fact that visualization happens by the reader, so if you make a colorful description using more conceptual terms and metaphors rather than literal it could be very interesting, but if you just go and try to retell something like Kaku's looks as "bipedal giraffe with square-shaped nose and neck" it will just sound stupid. Also depends how much "like" One piece are we talking about, from direct novelization to just a humorous adventure story set in the sea world.

I have been following one piece for some 10 years now. However, i have not read a single issue since the end of dressrosa because i am just tired of waiting week after week for a single issue.
