Same overall structure-- a neat world, friendly awesome natives (Pops is best gril), and a monster of the week to fight.

PI CAN have strong connections to people but that is not necessarily always the case. The PIs in episode 1, 3, 5 don't have an obvious connection to people the way 2, 6, 7, and 8 do, so the person/thing they are connected to(if they are at all) is likely unimportant.

Has anyone else noticed that Cocona rarelt actually does anything when they henshin?

Take this episode for example. The fight sequence early on was purely Papika fighting the monsters until Yayaka &co intervened.

In episode 6, Cocona only disteacts the monster while Papika destroys it, and then doesn't move at all while Yayaka and Papika fights. She only stepped in at the very end to protect Papika from Yuyu' punch.

Thid has been a recurring them throughout most of the show's action. Cocona rarely ever attacks, never takes the lead, and almost exclusively acts to protect Papika or support her in a combo attack. Even in episode 3, she spends most of the fight protecting Papika while Papika attacks.

Their roles seem reversed considering that Cocona is the "blade" while Papika is the "shield"
