A gamer misses his guild.

The "Overlord x Yōjo Senki Joint Press Conference" announced on Thursday that the compilation film project for the Overlord television anime will have two parts. Overlord: Fushisha no Ō (Overlord: The Undead King) will open on February 25, and Overlord: Shikkoku no Senshi (Overlord: The Dark Warrior) will open on March 11. (The films' titles are also the titles of the first two volumes in Kugane Maruyama's original Overlord light novel series.) The films will add new scenes, and original character designer (and original novel illustrator) so-bin drew rough drafts for new characters.

The musical group MYTH&ROID is returning from the television series to contribute the theme music. The official website also posted the key visual (above) that so-bin drew for the first film.

The films will play at Kadokawa Cinema Shinjuku theater and Ikebukuro Cinema Rosa in Tokyo, as well as other theaters throughout Japan. While limited supplies last, advance tickets for the first film will go on sale on December 3 in a bundle with a Movi-Ticke Card, as well as a postcard set for the initial run.

Basically, the Lancer (lance + shield) and Warriors (two swords) are the tanks of the game. Lancers are the dedicated tank class while Warriors are DPS types with a tank stance.

I'd like to point out, that once armor tech got really good (tempered steel full plate mails that cover the whole body and could withstand even early musketballs) they pretty much just stopped using shields.

Yup, once you had full plate mails, the knights generally just stopped using shields since they really didn't need them. why carry an extra shield, when you have your "shield" ALL OVER YOUR BODY?
So Instead they started using two-handed weapons such as 2-h longswords, as their off-hand was now free to do other stuff than hold shield.

...maybe Albedo's armor is just that OP?

I'm an armorfag and honestly I kinda dig Alfredo's armor. The shapes doesn't look bad in so-bins' drawings and the proportions look nice. Sure the breastplate would look better without the boobs, but they are not that big. I'm satisfied that the breastplate ends in the true waist and the pauldrons are high enough to move.

It just looks wonky in the anime because of over simplification, but that's because animating armor joins is painful, unless you use 3d for armors like the berserk movies did (that's why armor looked so good in that film, Boscogn couters gave me a boner). Specially because the animators made her frogmouth turn and twist when she screams, looking extra goofy.

The only point you can make here is that it's not like described in the novels: so big and bulky you couldn't tell the sex of the person inside, or something like this. But honestly I would take Alfredo's anime armor over any WoWtier shit with extra bulky pauldrons and glowing retarded bits. Unless it's a Marine's Power Armour, then go for it 100%.

Albedo doesn't even have a big build so why need a hulk armor+ she is the type that depend on speed to. Chair or Chairtear (usually) refers to Shalltear, because Ainz uses her as a chair as a punishment during Vol 4 I think, but she actually likes to be sit on. Chair can also be mentioning Cocytus, because he also works as a chair for Ainz in Vol 11, but is a cold and bad chair while Shalltear was way more comfy and warm (said by Ainz-sama himself).

Can be either one, but usually is Shalltear. When people say chair and want to specify Cocytus, they may say "worse chair" or "cold chair" or something like this.

I like overlord exactly for this reason, despite it being a power fantasy and stuff.
This is a reverse hero's journey there we follow a seemingly invincible overlord instead of the weak hero who are trying to become strong.

It's probably takes inspiration from japanese dungeon crawlers here.
For example, i remember that in stranger of the sword city it was normal to command casters to conserve mana and use only wands when fighting trash mobs.
Also, it doesn't seem to take a whole day to restore mana. Evileye needed only to meditate for some time to prepare for final battle against jaldabaoth, it didn't take the whole night.

Depends what your expectation as a caster is.
In DnD and older roleplaying games Mages are the most versatile you can have with you.
Powerfull enough to turn the tide in a fight but limited and how often you can use it.

Ulbert was a nuke-mage using his mana mostly to do insane amounts of damage in short time but being useles afterwards. In the story about how they conquered Nazerick. He had to keep his spellcasting to a minimum in case for a situation calling for huge burst damage.

Ainz is in that regard a "freak" he has over 700 spells he can use, gaining the jealousy of Ulbert. Giving him a wildcard status, a person very versatile and able to handle ANY situation that should come. Buffs/Debuffs/Crowd Controll/Utility/Damage/AoE/line ect

More experienced wild magic users can perform more powerful spells with less souls sacrificed. I'm pretty sure PDL is one of the most skilled/experienced wild magic user. He even has an ultimate attack/spell.
