-Mimi and Cocona are actually the same being/two parts of the same being/some other split personality shenanigans and Papika is literally remembering that 'Cocona' is also 'Mimi' which will create an identity conflict for Cocona (who has been basing a lot of her newfound self-worth around Papika's comfort and assuredness in her)

I somewhat agree. Despite having a lot of great aspects (Pops, super robot with the IN song, Yayaka bullying, etc.), it felt like there was something missing. A lot of style and not much substance, especially with how previous episodes were chock full of themes and imagery to analyze. Maybe I missed all of it. It was a fun episode but even with all the service, I don't think it measures up to the previous episodes.

At least this episode will help get the ball rolling since it's likely that Yayaka's aide here is what will get her replaced in KKK and we'll begin to learn about Mimi now that it's out in the open.

This might be an episode that is better appreciated after the show is finished. I agree that there isn't much to chew on compared to previous episodes. The PI/subject relationship was obvious(not necessarily a bad thing), Yayaka had some good development, and it's looking like the 'Cocona is Mimi' theory is gaining weight. Despite not being a big mecha fan, I still enjoyed the hell out of this episode.
