That might be possible, the director did the Vassalord. OVA in 2013 and it's cgi-ish shit.

The story might be a hit or a miss, but what I personally care more about is if the production value of the anime will be good or not if the anime doesn't have to be produced for TV schedules.
So, at least no QUALITY because they had to hurry up the episode barely on time by outsourcing it to a hundred different places and getting a weird Frankenstein-episode together.

An anime directly made for streaming services should allow the studio to work at it more stress-free than under normal circumstances.

An Aniplex show is still an Aniplex show even if it's not done by A-1. He's contrasting it to the previous "Netflix originals" that have all been random anime (mostly manga adaptations) that Netflix just bought the streaming rights for.
