The attributes I've listed can be applied in smaller dosages to denote different ages. And maintaining face outline that does not look like a child will help. Pouting kind of sabotages that. I guess older characters would more commonly show teeth instead or do a :< mouth. Having the glasses reflect white, obscuring the eyes might be another thing that's more associated with angry adults.

Surely someone must have made some infographics for this kind of shit.
