this is one of those series where everyone else is written like a retard to make the MC look good.

In the few situations where the MC fights a smart enemy, the MC ends up getting saved at the last minute/enemy stops fighting him because he needs the MC alive for his master plan/some other plot device.

Because god forbid the MC have to learn the harsh harsh lesson that running head on and trying to punch someone with no plan is usually a terrible idea.

Keep in mind the author initially came up with the concept for index when he was in high school....you know like when you were in high school daydreaming about some fantasy where you had superpowers, etc? That was the beginning of index. Literally.
