>MC is a veteran soldier who served in the ending section to a war known as the 1000 Years War against a neighboring kingdom who established a pact with demons. Post-War him and a group of his fellow knights establish a small band of mercenaries who make profit doing demon extermination job, security, and etc for nobles and cities.

Apeiron
There are many ways out of this world. Some fear death, others claim that its merely an illusion, others still add that true release from the binds of reality is to be sought, not feared.

In truth, the only way out of the real amounts to the supreme boredom. Those who lose attachment to all and interest in all find themselves in Apeiron, a strange coastal settlement in the middle of nowhere, populated by a tribe of primitive fishermen, which some say is the place where time and space began bilions of years ago.

Our protagonist is a highschool dropout. As a result of many years of abuse by peers and family, he withdrew from the world, living in the streets for several years, until one day, he stumbled upon a lost lottery ticked, which happened to have the winning numbers. He attempted to fix himself with his newfound wealth, but the lavishest of lifestiles could only distract him for weeks, and he eventually fell so deep into utter boredom, that the waters of Apeiron found him, and he awoke in one of the fishing huts.

The series explores the MC's interactions with other's who were brought to the village, and he finds some of them to be the only people in the world with whom he could possibly simpatise. However, each time he starts bonding with one of them, they are removed from the village once they fall asleep the next night.

In the end, a stranger appears, having come from the wastelands surrounding the village. He tells MC that he is the looses part of the universe, and that he has a use for him. The MC suddenly deduces that this man has been taking those who he bonded with each night. The stranger doesnt confirm or deny, but tells the MC that since there is nothing in this reality binding him, he would like him to accompany him to an another world. The MC, realising that the stranger is right, agrees to the offer, and leaves with the stranger, feeling for the first time in years a sense of expectation.
