I have foreseen this thread.
It won't be a good one.
We've seen how Capones fruit works, everything within a certain radius is shrunken to use him as a castle. Il bet Capones awakening allows him to influence the outside world and make anything a part of his castle within a certain radius. Capone has been working for Big Mom to map out her territory.
Capone is planning to castle all of Totland during the wedding. He's going to restructure all 35 islands and barricade himself away from everyone. Once he's safe he's going to launch a full assault against Big Mom and Germa too. Of course Luffy saves the day in the end which resolves conflicts on both sides.
I'm just wondering if Capone will be able to upgrade his fortress with Germa tech. That would be crazy to be a walking cloning machine.
So glad this happened. I was so annoyed at how OP the crew was post-timeskip. Luffy beating a Yonkou commander uninjured was just anti-climactic. Glad to see him finally being completely outlcassed in a fight.
Honestly me too. People don't seem to realize that one piece isn't based on power levels, and it really depends on the situation to see who would win. Honestly it's more realistic, we don't need mary sue's who are impervious to damage just because they're strong.
>every power player in the New World are basically just punching or slicing things with haki
>even the ones with cool powers still use haki as the main weapon
Is Haki a mistake?
>Wonder how much he is getting paid
with puddings sweet sweet pudding
Haki doesn't really change much aside from nerfing logias daysue
well it is lame how practically everyone has tekkai
other than that it is either "now I punch/block" even harder
Story-wise, it was valid enough as an explanation to counter logias.
Interpreting them for our reading experience is what makes them seem like a mistake. And it doesn't help that Oda presents them inconsistently.
Everytime you read each panel, you now have the question of whether a character has haki and the type of haki he/she can do, was it activated then, etc.
It's supposed to add another layer of condition for every fight/situation to make it interesting.
But there are cases that as readers we tend to forget them, we overthink or it simply wasnt made clear enough by Oda.
Joy Boy failed to help FI but was certain that someone would one day. Why was he so sure? His family - Marshall clan - knows of a history that no one else does. Its why Blackbeard talks of fate and how yami chose him. It's also why he likes history, he compares what the Marshalls know against what the WG says.
Queenz review is up. Also Smoothie is Bae.
After Alabasta rain it started to go down.
Enies Lobby was particularly bad (yeah it was).
And after Thriller bark I couldn't watch it anymore.
Impel down was absolutely raped by Buggy and Mr.3 filler
For the current arc, it's that Brook's power will help fight against Big Mom
All of the useless, shipping shitposts
Even though it hasn't happened in 800+ chapters and Oda has confirmed that the Straw Hats are not and will not get romantically involved with each other, faggots still push this
>A main character sustains a significant injury that alters his appearance. The injury happens off-screen, without explanation, and is not discussed or even mentioned by the other characters.
>All of this in a Shonen manga
>All of this in One Piece, which is famous for dropping hints and introducing plot points that are not explained until a later chapter
>Oh, and by the way, the character who "lost his EYE" was training with a character named "Hawk EYES"
>There are people who STILL think that it's just an injury and nothing more
>I was so annoyed at how OP the crew was post-timeskip
Then you are objectively retarded, as from the Punk Hazard it was clear that the crew is catastrophically underpowered (or more precisely that power levels of everyone else escalated massively with no explanation) so that the same plots could be reused.
>People don't seem to realize that one piece isn't based on power levels
Lolwut. Official power levels were established since Enies Lobby, since Marineford it was established that you cannot damage top-tier people in any way unless your power level is higher than theirs.
His master is Mihawk.
The number one swordsman in the world.
Not unlikely that he gets injured while training with him. It's like a symbol that his 2 yrs were hard-fought and that he lost one eye but he gained so much with just the thought he survived.
>Strongest CoA Haki to date
>Spends all afternoon chasing down clones of his friends and beating up tree people
>Fights a Yonko commander head on FOR 11 HOURS STRAIGHT
>Gets, like, 20 minutes of sleep
>Takes a flurry of attacks from one of his strongest crewmates, passing out in the process
>Fights an army of chess people and New World veterans alongside his weakest crewmate and a damn tree
>WOW what a jobber
I think I need to take a break from these threads.
Maybe even take a break from One Piece, I used to enjoy it so much more then I do now.
At least Sanji had some cool moments. And he never was as badass as Smoker.
No. Losing against fucking Kaido isn't being a jobber.
He's the best supernova so far.
Just bad luck.
He fought 11 hours against gear 4 and Nami
Doffly and his family were are pathetic
Probably the D being the half-moon symbol or that Zoro is only half-asleep.
Probably Blackbeard having the Oni fruit and, holding the souls of his parents inside him, the darkness fruit and quake fruits inside of them.
Forgot my image.
He should not have had so much trouble with Cracker.
He should have taken out most of the army, with the remaining people just barely subduing him, instead of folding as soon as heavyweights actually attack.
There is no feeling that the timeskip training has accomplished fucking anything at all. Sure, Luffy got new moves, but everybody else powered up to counter them. I could (just barely) forgive losing twice to Caesar because the latter was no match in a fair fight and used tricks to blindside Luffy, I could forgive struggling against Doflamingo because Luffy fought through half the island on that day, took massive damage by allowing Bellamy to wail on him, etc, and because Doflamingo was established to be hot shit at Marineford.
But Cracker and his revealed strength was fucking bullshit. Apparently Whitebeard's crew was the New World's almshouse for weaklings and losers, if his number three jobbed to Doffy, who in turn is now revealed to be noticeably below a Sweet commander.
THREE FUCKING PONEGLYPHS
Pfft what a fucking jobber let's look at a real man like jack
>Fights the minks for 5 days straight never getting any sleep or rest at all while the two strongest minks get to switch out every 12 hours allowing the other one to rest
>Straight after attacks the marines taking down two of their ships while fighting sengoku and fujitora
>Right after that goes back to zou and attacks the biggest creature in the entire series and takes an attack big enough to destroy his entire fleet
>Is a devil fruit user at the bottom of the ocean and still has no injuries
I doubt it since we've seen its silhouette multiple times and there were waves present, iirc.
There's a theory about Raftel being a quarantine for the original surviving D. family.
>My fortune is yours for the taking... but you'll have to find it first. I left everything I own in One Piece!
>The moon actually is "One Piece" of the world that got separated by a superweapon
I want to believe
Since you admitted your folly I will explain further. There is a method to imprint the scribe on a specific sort of paper. I assume Pedro has the materials needed to so the job already.
>Raftel actually is gravitating around the grand line and all the weather and magnetic phenomenons are its fault
Everything makes sense now
Interesting. Maybe one of the moons are fixed and do not orbit around the OP world?
Or the Road Poneglyphs would indicate where and when that moon would be directly parallel to the location. Another knock-up stream type or something that will blast them to space.
More importantly, what's on those moons? We know the Space Pirates linger about, so there IS life on at least one of them.
Kaidou has an ant-logia
Croc is Luffy's mom. Even him being a woman is probably bullshit. I guess he hit on a female Ivankov and later learned he is male or something like that.
I'm hoping Moria shows back up and spent the last 2 years training to get back in the game
hes back to his pre-New World defeat shape and instead of being fat and bottom heavy he's jacked and top heavy with his tiny ass little legs
>Or the Road Poneglyphs would indicate where and when that moon would be directly parallel to the location. Another knock-up stream type or something that will blast them to space.
I've got one for you.
We've seen these air roads with Apoo and his crew running away from those boars and automata using balloons to reach the moon. There are literal invisible roads to the moon(s).
The problem though is the Balloon Terminal. When asked in an SBS, Oda said that the balloon terminal is where all balloons end up when kids accidentally let go of their balloons - meaning that most of these currents lead to a dead end.
I find it interesting that these guys in pic related had no trouble getting to the moon
just who the fuck is Tsukimi?. I think the poneglyphs detail when and where one can approach these currents to make it to the moon(s) safely.
My less substantial theory is that the purpose of Tequila Wolf is to have a concrete bearing on the general location of these air-highways. They've been working on this bridge for 700 years so I'm skeptical it's actually leading anywhere. Kuma also sent Robin there where we learn that the Revo Army is interested in Tequila Wolf. There must be some secrets around it.
Bartolomeo will just barrier blast it across the red line for Luffy. But seriously I think they Straw Hat Fleet will get one of the road poneglyphs for Luffy wherever it may be. Marijois makes sense and they Fleet is likely headed there now anyway to bust up the reverie in Luffy's name.
I never even thought of that. On that note, what's stopping someone from marking the roads? Even if they failed, someone else could keep marking the path, forming a line gradually leading somewhere. Though if that happens, pirates will come like crazy to cross it. And there has to be more than one.
air currents shift day to day so you'd have to be at the right spot at the right time. I also forgot to mention the WG cant read poneglyphs so Tequila Wolf is their scatter-fire technique to find the right paths.
Also check their ancient city, looks a lot like shandora
The balloon part is the winner for me.
A lot of theories involving the moon say SH need an ancient weapon (a special ship/ spaceship) to go to the moon.
> Nope. The balloons are fine.
Will any of the other "moons" be the world of Ds?
That's likely what happened. We'd see at least one other body in the sky. It also explains why there are tiny human-like creatures and talking mammal bipeds. For what it's worth, I hope the Snakenecks have forked tongues at least or some reptile motif/origins/theme at least.
Screencap this, my nigga Brook will defeat big mom
No, Logia was a mistake. Haki was a poor attempt at fixing it, and also a mistake. OP used to be original. Then it brought in the exact same definitely-not-ki shit as every other shounen series.
But OP fags will still tell themselves their increasingly dull and unoriginal story is top-tier.
Do you have a single fact to back that up?
If i remember correctly, he'll just do one-shots like toriyama. No long serialization.
Like toriyama, he'll most likely milk the shit out of OP once it's over. So, i guess the ending for OP should still present opportunities for expanding the "universe". Then he'll publish one-shots that are extensions of OP but may already have a different theme/genre.
This is the nigga Brook should fight. Jack Skellington vs Willy Wonka.
>Big mom split Brook soul to create homies
>Brook actually keep control of each of his soul parts
>Now brook can split his soul at will and posses things like a poltergeist
a man can dream
>Buggy is literally a killer clown from outer space
>swole Moriah with bitches hanging off his tree trunk arms
Luffy dies at the end from all the life-shortening things he did over the course of the series (not sure if I like the idea that Chopper would then cure his death)
>least favorite theory
Shanks is the father of Makino's baby (because it causes such a huge plothole)
Shanks is using Luffy to get to the one piece.
But Rayleigh said Roger was sick and that they didn't complete their goal. You need D blood to be able to reach the one piece. As soon as Luffy goes for it..Shanks comes to take his hat back.
Aside from those, of course.
If I remember Ohara is the place where top scholars/archaeologists would gather. So Nico Olivia may/may not be Oharan by origin.
I'm thinking along the lines of Nico clan is connected to the D clan. May be they are also privy to the secrets of the OP world not just through academic research but actually involved themselves in whatever transpired in the Void Century.
Maybe an Oars-type giant/giantess had a brilliant idea of fucking a Sea-king.
Honestly I think Luffy will defeat Big.Mom with Brookes help, possibly at the end of this arc. But he wont take her position, instead it will be left open.
Then at the end of Wano arc when Kaido is defeated, Luffy will be declared the new Yonko, as the Strawhat Grand Fleet has started conquering territory in his name.
It will also be revealed that the other new Yonko is the now ex-Shichibukai Buggy
Capone/Bonney/Buggy/? for Kaido/Big Mom position. Luffy will take Shanks's position after his loss against BB. Luffy ruling on Shank's empire make more sense. They have a similar crew organization.
Might be, im just expecting Big Mom along with her top commanders to be defeated by the end of this arc, effectively sending the Big Mom pirates into chaos and allowing someone else to move in.
Hello, friends! I am going to get big and strong and be the pirate king when I grow up!
Urouge is definitely the best Supernova. Even after getting rekt by Big Mom he didn't seem too upset.
>luffy hears about big bad
>"I'm gonna kick that guy's ass!"
>luffy is somehow incapacitated or taken out of the equation for some time
>100 chapters later he reappears and kicks the bad guy's ass
>Snack is a girl
Did Ma D. Monk show her the wonders of
It's been used as much as it needs to be. Nami got them out of the seducing woods by controlling homies, got King Baum acting as her personal servant for a while, and used it just enough to control Zeus (unless she merely took over the lightning bolt instead of forcing it to produce one).
Not much more to be done with it now.
>tfw I said this a year ago now
Fuck you, I'm getting my brown waifu
which is relatively weakest
Zoan or Paramecia
Zoans give guaranteed strength but so many people and their mothers have uber strengths even without Zoan fruits so it seems a little meaningless unless you go through awakening
I've said it a million times. Dragon is her dad. Thats why Kuma sent her to him & why she was shaken at Garp talking about him; even Luffy picked up on it.
Her and Luffy & are halfsies.
getting hit and being "useless" are quite different. They can still shapechange and bend reality according to their element, like freezing stuff etc...
Legendary Zoan are probably logia+ tier
Paramecia are everything so they can be shit or godlike
I hope so, Kaido and his minions should at least be as dangerous as Big Mom's so if Zoro and Law didn't stay quiet while waiting for Luffy, which I think they did because they aren't retarded, they have already met with some big shots there.
He's still one of my all time favs but I just can't.
>parents literal crack addicts that name him Smoker
>wellp, better start smoking
>get hands on a fruit, it tastes like SHIT but now literally the most op motherfucker in all of East Blue AND Paradise
>strong sense of justice drives him to New World
>2 years later he is full of damn scars
>seriously, he got fucked up lots of times didn't he
>one day this shichibukai guy fucks his shit up for being on his property
>this one collegue asolutely slaps his shit sideways because he looked at him funny
>just when he though it couldn't get worse this other flamboyant looking dude comes FLYING out of NOWHERE and randomly starts to massacre him and his weakass people
His life is a suffering one that much is sure
>parents literal crack addicts that name him Smoker
>wellp, better start smoking
>get hands on a fruit, it tastes like SHIT
>Its Smoke Smoke fruit
How lucky/unlucky one has to be to have this happen...?
Daily reminder that Pudding is CUTE and NAKAMA
To be fair the the ice and magma fruits shits on the snow and fire fruits.
But atleast those two got offensive abilities and allows you to do floaty shit the stronger versions cant.
The smoke fruits literally gives you nothing but intangability and ability to float in the air
What was the point of this fucker again? If I remember correctly, all he did was get BTFO by everyone verbally, followed by hm bothering random fodders until he got taken down in one hit by Cavendish's alter ego.
>nami got raped at least
>“Really Oda? Was it really necessary to tear the front of Nami’s dress?”
>Nami has worn less before and other female characters have shown more skin throughout the series.
>I think it was the fact that another character tore her clothing and was feeling around in her cleavage that bugged me.
>Yeah, I know that was where she was hiding the vivre card for Lola
>but the fact that she was violated left me feeling violated and uncomfortable.
>I really hope Oda doesn’t do this again.
Maybe Big Mom did the same thing Doffy did with Ace's fruit.
>Well I named my son cracker
>Perhaps I should find him that cracker fruit
Or maybe she already had them and decided fed them the fruit at adolescence.
He said they didn't smell right when he found the real Nami and Ussop. He's just a lonely 14 year old boy who got to see his friends after two years, of course his heart would trick him.
The fruits chose them. The abilities have a will of their own. The Will of D.evil fruits.
Now that I think about it, Zoro doesn't now what Kaidoo looks like, and Zoro would most likely be wearing a disguise when he gets to Wano. It would be funny if they engaged in a friendly drinking competition while completely being oblivious to their identities.
Fuckin' Satan spoiling the Wano arc. Fuck off, devil.
But it'd be hilarious is Law and Kinemon were walking around, talking about plans and came across Zoro drinking with the Kaido.
No, I didn't forget it cause it never happened. Whitebeard said that Teach wasn't what Roger was waiting for. All it could mean is that he has a shit personality. I don't know where the fuck you're pulling this bullshit about Fake D.s
This is the only thing I can think of. Luffy went into King Kong gun but that's still in Gear 4 so it's still putting stress on him. Translation might just be off too.
>Is gear 5th teased in anyway?
personal headcanonis when Rayleigh said Luffy needed to come up with something better than Gear4 he told him about his Gear5 ideas. King Kong Gun didn't really need a flashback to explain why its more powerful.
The fruit didn't. All of Luffy's crew members are people who profess that destiny can be made and from what we've been shown of Teach's crew is that their common thread is that they are the slaves of fate.
So it's like... Poetry.
I mean, what's the point of even trying to guess what that something is when we've all read this series for over 800 chapters and we know for absolute fact that that something that's going to happen is Luffy.
Gears were all developed beforehand by Luffy and teased by himself as well. Awakening is more like a Super Saiyan thing, Luffy will get it in a different way than he did with gears.
What you said is gret and all but I don't see how it effects the fruits choosing their users. None of the Strawhats have a name that correlates with their fruit (neither does Teach unless he called himself Blackbeard from Day 1) so the fruits cn still choose whoever they wish.
>Anyone of SH dies
Nigga, Oda clearly said that he doesn't like killing someone just to reviving them back. He's never gonna kill anyone unless its absolutely necessary. Luffy's awakening will happen in a Zoro vs Mr.1 type of situation.
Woah, who are these new characters?
Zoromon sounds like a shitty pokemon
Zoraemon is completely different.
Some old nip show
Oda truly is making me question the viability of rescuing Sanji within this arc
I mean sure we have Carrot and Choniki, Pedro and Brook wholy functional, as well as some expectable cards as Jinbe, Pudding, and surprise players on the board.
But I dont remember ever feeling so unsure about the arc's outcome
Good job Oda
>inb4 Oda's dick sure tastes good lmao
