While that is cliche and convenient it would actually make way more sense. His random god complex, while quite entertaining, wasnt really realistic and I cant imagine the general audience not rolling their eyes over it. Its an adaption for the general public so expect some changes to the story. Also who wants this to be as close to the original as possible? All you need for it too be called death note is 2 smart dudes trying to outwit eachother and a killer note book. Thats it, thats all i am expecting.
