Still don't love how little attention was payed to Ryuji realizing he like Taiga, it felt almost like Minorin rejected him, so he settled for a Taiga as a consolation prize. Taiga realizing she didn't want to be apart from Ryuji was well developed, and made for some really powerful scenes. Ryuji, in contrast, just felt like he was going with the flow. (Also, ending felt kind of chaotic, like they were trying to cram too much material into too few episodes.)

Still, it was a pretty great series. Good, colourful characters that were a lot of fun and played well off each other, and, as OP said, some really good heart-pulling scenes.

I've watched Toradora every year since it finished airing. I do a one-day marathon of the whole series, the OVA, and the SOS specials, usually on Black Friday, so I intend to watch it again next week.

Fucking fantastic show, still my #1 of all time, and I'm still not tired of it.

Filler. I think it might be based on a spin-off novel chapter or something? I can't remember. It's completely irrelevant to the overall plot, though.

The tone is more in line with the first half of the series than the second half, though. Some people like that half better, so maybe that matters to you.

It's fucking awful. Every character besides Ryuuji has shit for brains.

The majority of /a don't deserve such good anime like Toradora. And this says a lot.

I don't think he was going with the flow anon. I think he was protective of Taiga to the point where he pushed his feelings on Minori. Minori was the consolation prize he constantly chose Taiga over her. Taiga pushed him on Minori which causes him to reject his own feelings for Taiga until the ski resort. After that Minori bursts the bubble by calling Ryuji a fucking coward because even though he knows his feelings are reciprocal he doesn't express them.
It's the same high level autism many people experience when they are in high school
