Average over 8 weeks excluding Toriko, Takuan, and LoveRush!
Kimetsu no Yaiba better start rising in the ranks because this arc has been fucking incredible, that said, I'm sure some of these new series will drop below it
If Food Wars could follow Toriko out, I'd be happy with most of the established line-up
Really hope nothing is wrong with him.
WT should just go monthly. After Ashihara recovers from whatever his current affliction is first of course. I'm thinking about what's best for his health, and any self-respecting editor should do the same.
Ashihara don't you dare go dying on us now that the manga its finally getting interesting
>Samon is doing great
>Shokugeki at the bottom
WHAT TIMELINE IS THIS!?!?!
>Niggastream picks up World Trigger.
Their chances are bolstered by WT hiatus. Now there's an extra slot open as evidenced by them plugging in one-shots every week in its absence. Next round, Jump might only cancel one series.
>World Trigger (Going to be in Hiatus)
After next week, there will be 22 series, 2 of which we don't know when they're coming back, and 1 which is monthly, and 1 which takes a break every 5 weeks. I think only Red Sprite will die next time, they can't afford to lose more than that.
Neverland/Love Rush/Red Sprite moved pretty far down before they finally started to rank. It doesn't look to be a matter of popularity, so what's up with Amalgram staying near the front of the issues?
So that "open slot," what are they going to do in the meantime. You're talking about two months from now, but can they keep bringing oneshots in every week until then?
>Black Clover ranked second
If it's THAT chapter, then Saiki's ranking isn't that unsurprising. It caused a shitstorm in the fanbase and the author even apologized on twitter for it. It's a shame, though. I thought that chapter was above average, but I can see why that last page pissed off a lot of people.
Samon's artist can't draw action. I was interested when I heard it was trying a more serious arc, but it's just been stiff looking characters beating each other up in one-on-one fights, also for demons and angels, they don't have any interesting moves or powers. Only Samon himself has a fighting style even remotely interesting to look at. I hope it flounders in the ranks so the series can go back to mediocre comedy rather than crappy action.
>World Trigger (Going to be in Hiatus)
Let this not become another HiatusxHiatus
>picking up another new series like niggaclover
That would be nice. I know Tabata is absolutely shit at writing dialogue, but I have to believe that MS translations would be much better than JB.
You have no idea how to take a screenshot, right?
JB actually releases BC pretty late compared to other manga from WSJ. Their translator for it has a full time job. They try and release on the same day as everyone else but doesn't always work out. I hope niggerstream picks it up
Yeah but the only character in niggaclover that should be swearing often is Yami.
>niggerstream would've made Vetto way more edgier than he already is
I really wish Tabata wasn't so fucking terrible at writing dialogue. Vetto would have been a decent, maybe even good villain if he didn't talk nonstop about fucking despair. Same with this fana bitch.
I really like Liar, though, so if they fight him and he goes on and on about how lazy he is, I swear to Christ.
>Is the author dying?
I believe he is diagnosed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spondylosis in his neck. Probably needs to take a break every now and then when the pain gets too bad.
It's pathetic that Red Sprite was able to survive but only through circumstance. It's never left the bottom 3 once since it ranked. The artist must know that he was only given a two month reprieve at best, and that there is next to no chance of surviving past that. At least the Love Rush guy got a quick death.
Nah. Even if it goes on hiatus for a while, I'm pretty sure that unlike Togashi, Ashihara has enough respect for his fans to let them know what his plans are up front. He also clearly has much more enthusiasm than Togashi.
>Samon actually making a comeback
Never stop believing
If only the volume sales were higher
Is Amalgam of Disortion worth picking up? I need some new fucking manga that I can read weekly and is interesting.
>you will never be this autistic against a series
Nope. This is as real as it get. This shit is HxH level of Hiatus. At least Wt if not promotet for next week or any week that follows. So for now it's gone. Volume 17 will be the last one. Go buy it if you have time.
Vote your favorite chapters of the week
Was that the chapter that was ranked?
Man the Nips really do hate the best chapters. I bet this last chapter (which was fantastic) will be low-rated too. Fire the fuckin nips into the sun
Jump look really good at the moment. If only Gintama and World trigger end and some new manga replace them I can see jump increasing it's sales. People here will thing that I shitpost or troll but I`m well informet person and I understand the industry very well. I expect the mangaka of beelzebub ti return with new smash hit very soon.
>People here will thing that I shitpost or troll but I`m well informet person
>Which chapters does sensei like the most and spent the most time on?
>A: There are two chapters, chapter 79 and chapter 85. Chapter 79 was the climax of the large scale invasion, and I had already planned out what I was going to draw, however in the end the story took off in a complete different direction from what I had planned, but it still progressed naturally, for which I am grateful for. Chapter 85 was during the time when I couldn't move my body at all due to my neck problems, and I had designed that chapter to be the last chapter of this series, so it stirs up some deep emotions within me when I go back to read it.
Keep in mind that 85 was the press conference chapter that everyone liked.

>tfw like Red Sprite
It's generic Shounen if I've ever seen it. But I like the Airship, the powers and the costumes.
Yes, it is not ranked yet. but my point is that generally, before reaching the eighth chapter, the new series are placed in oscillating positions. but amalgam doesn't leave the top.
The main girl, Teruhashi, is so perfect every guy who speaks directly to her will get so nervous he will eventually stutter and say "Offu". Every guy except Saiki because he can hear her inner thoughts. Also Saiki never talks in the whole series, so people got mad because he said "Offu" with a speech bubble in this chapter.
The translator for Saiki made a summary of this chapter, you can read it here:
He's probably talking about Tesshi, who is the opposite of a sociopath imho, but like, when I say opposite I do mean opposite.
She makes Emiya Shirou look like a little bitch when it comes to selflessness it's actually kind of unnerving.
Most Samon chapters have Samon try to tempt Tesshi and for Tesshi to comedically react, but Samon never gets the upper hand. He never gets under Tesshi's skin while her actions make the demon summoning edgelord lose his shit.
It was 13, it's annoying that the english magazine translates obvious insta-cancellation stuff like that but then drops the best series of 2016 after 3 chapters and now its got 40
I don't know why people are calling it KHR 2.0
It's a Comedy-Action using the plot it foreshadowed multiple times
Holy shit, am I stupid? I watched like sixty episodes of the anime (I loved it but couldn't keep up) and I never realized he doesn't talk ever. That's so confusing, does that mean in universe he's never said anything to the other characters? How did I not notice?
>I don't know why people are calling it KHR 2.0
A manga that changes its coarse by reader interest hence why it fluctuates heavily in the rankings. I think it was a love comedy last round and not its an action comedy its was largely gag centric in the beginning
I have a feeling if he manages to finish World Trigger at all it may end up being his last manga
I doubt he can continue his career as a mangaka with his current condition
I predict WT will end in chapter 300 so we are already more than half way through
Japs are saying that World Trigger's estimated Hiatus length is "undecided" which means it's not on break. It's removed like HxH until the author heals up again. This means there will be for weeks or months no WT.
>I'm not going to tell him what he "doesn't know"
>I'll just keep repeating it
From the first chapter
Quads fucking confirm
This is still blowing my mind but now I'm trying to remember, do we never see people who don't know about his powers actually reply to him? If this is true, suddenly my appreciation for how great the series is has increased.
>Started as almost a Neuro rip-off,
>became a mediocre gag series
It was always a mediocre gag series first then when it wasn't working out the mangaka started taking reader suggestions to stay afloat
Why is nobody fucking translating Minna no Kochikame? It's literally full of references to some of the most popular manga to Western audiences in the past decade but nobody's translating it. What's with all this Kochikame hate from translators? It's a fun series.
And yet Gintama was translated? I wish they'd at least translate the "greatest hits", at some point I'm going to have to learn Japanese just to read all the raws of the great gag manga that translators ignore that I want to read.
>HEY TESSHI BECOME EVIL
>no fuck off
>BECOME EVIL OOH LOOK AT ALL THE DANGEROUS SHIT IM DOING WITH DEMONS OOOH
>stop being a faggot
>HAHAHA YOU GOT ANGRY THAT MEANS I WIN
>>HAHAHA YOU GOT ANGRY THAT MEANS I WIN
This hasn't happened in a long time my dude
Samon gets wrecked tons of times
I'm not saying HE wins
I'm saying he FRAMES it as him winning
Samon is the Justin Trudeau of mangas
Gintama is one of my favorite manga (which is part of why I have an interest in other gag manga that from the raws clearly are just as interesting like Kochikame or Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar) but I feel like there's been quite a lot of chapters that are fucking dead or full of references that aren't "reader-friendly" and yet they've been translated...and to be clear, Minna no Kochikame is a miniseries where every chapter is like ten pages and crosses over with another popular manga, last week was Sket Dance...I don't see why those can't be translated, even if what I really want is Kochikame as a whole
I haven't seen him do that in a while either
please do. Crossbreeds are way too fucking slow.
E-Robot was 11 chapters
Love Rush was 13
People usually say Chagecha was the fastest cancelled (8 chapters) which is notable because it was the guy who had already made Bobobo which was a huge success
>Tesshi's sis will never kick your fucking ass
Please go for it
>That feel when you like Black Clover but everyone here shits on it...
Also, I should probably start Red Sprite and The Promised Neverland.
Surprised no one is talking about the new series. (Devil's Plan)
Damn, Nips are getting tired of Shokugeki in the last few months. I remember a time when the series didn't have a single chapter in the bottom 5, let alone the average being so low.
Black Clover is a good generic manga. It's just that the first few chapters gave it such a bad image on /a/. It doesn't seem like the japanese were annoyed by it. It might get fairly popular if it's anime is really good though.
It's ok. The current arc started off promising, with a development that could created some great drama and tension if Tabata had simply let it linger for a few extra chapters, but he shat it all away with that whole instaheal BS a couple chapters ago. Now Asta back to doing what he always--"Swing muh around until I hit something". Like, honestly, the series is so repetitive that I'm earnestly tempted to drop it. Tabata is not a very good writer.
That aside, last was decent, so I guess we'll see if the coming chapters are enough to make for prior developments.
yea, this current arc ain't so good. Everything happened so fast and Tabata just fucked all the potential world building in witch kingdom, all the character interactions to get us used to the new LN characters and rushed straight into action with an edgy af villain. At least Vetto had some personality.
I really don't understand why it's going so fast. BC is a success that the editors are pushing, Tabata doesn't need to rush, the magazine has his back. He should slow down since he should know he's safe.
Vetto would have been at least a decent villain if it wasn't for the terrible fucking dialogue.
He looked cool, had cool powers, and an alright backstory, but he ended up being lame because he never shut the fuck up about despair.
And now this hate bitch is even worse. Her only saving grace is that fire spirit, which is cool
This is the Neverland artist Twitter
God I hope not. He's easily the best villain so far.
>Should've called the manga Tesshi wa Tenshi.
It's kinda depressing when the kindnessfaggottry never seems to going end, like, shouldn't the premise be basically>>149820025?
It really gave me excitement when idol arc happened but it immediately went back to what it used to be right after that.
>Black Clover is a good generic manga
>It's just that the first few chapters gave it such a bad image on /a/
You know the first few chapters of a shounen are the most important because its usually a setting point to make its appeal stand out so when it becomes shit you can look bad at it to see where it went wrong, BC is shit from the first few chapters doesn't help its case.
>It doesn't seem like the japanese were annoyed by it.
It gets shit on in Japan too
> It might get fairly popular if it's anime is really good though.
It has no chance at being goof if the source of material is awful
Next week's rank is pic related, it will probably be better than this week. 8th is not bad though
Aster being the dumb big hearted guy whose powers are hitting things, shouting, and never giving up just hurts the hell out of it for me.
He doesn't need to be like any other protag in WSJ, but he's just so cliché he doesn't deserve his great supporting cast.
your opinion isn't a global opinion
>BC is shit from the first few chapters doesn't help its case.
There are manga that have bad first chapters but turn out good overall.
>It gets shit on in Japan too
Has good rankings and ok sales
>your opinion isn't a global opinion
> Worst Manga for Anyone, Any Age

Lol, you actually cited the article that has Bleach as an underrated manga. Those rankings are retarded.
off the top of my head, Magi and KHR
The argument everyone makes when a manga they don't like gets high rankings. It wouldn't be getting pushed anyways if it didn't have a good reader base.
>Continues to drop
Latest volume got the most BC copies sold in first week yet
Not making it any better for your case.
>Those rankings are retarded because I say so
So much for "people don't share the same opinion as you
If anything its beginning is stronger than everything that came after it
Starts out shit ends up even shittier
>The argument everyone makes when a manga they don't like gets high rankings
And when the manga like you gets high rankings you deny any editorial interference
>It wouldn't be getting pushed anyways if it didn't have a good reader base.
Yeah its reader base is so big that it deserves two cover pages in a row.
>Latest volume got the most BC copies sold in first week yet
Nope. Sold less than the previous volume.
>Worst Manga for Anyone, Any Age
>Guardians of the Louvre by Jiro Taniguchi
Damn. What did Taniguchi do to them for this? Granted, this clearly isn't his best but it's at least decent and a relaxing read.
>Latest volume got the most BC copies sold in first week yet
Black Clover 6 95,452
Black Clover 7 78,464
>So much for "people don't share the same opinion as you
If you think bleach is the most underrated manga and agree with them just putting mainstream manga at the top of best manga then good for you.
KHR had a bad ending but it was good overall. Magi is better now than it's first few chapters. Unless you really enjoyed the chapter where he beat up some bandits and ate some watermelon and the chapters where he meets alibaba and have some comedy with 1 dimensional greedy "villain". That's totally better than all the wars that happen afterwards.
>And when the manga like you gets high rankings you deny any editorial interference
I never said it's not getting pushed. I said it's getting pushed for good reasons.
>Nope. Sold less than the previous volume.
Proven wrong >>149827890 >>149827788
>If you think bleach is the most underrated manga and agree with them just putting mainstream manga at the top of best manga then good for you.
You think KHR is good. You've already outed yourself for having terrible fucking taste
>KHR had a bad ending but it was good overall. Magi is better now than it's first few chapters
That's some shit ass taste you got there
>I never said it's not getting pushed. I said it's getting pushed for good reasons.
No and No
>total amount is lower than the previous volume
>see see see its increasing
This is just sad
Shit man just have Tesshi do some fightan too
That character type works so fucking well in battle manga, you know, the "I want to help people so bad to the point that I will ignore physical pain far beyond what a normal person would."
As far as I can tell Samon's battle stuff don't work great because it devolves into [x] Summon Bigger Demon
>You've already outed yourself for having terrible fucking taste
>That's some shit ass taste you got there
Yea, now that you're just trashing tastes, this is a pointless argument.
>total amount is lower than the previous volume
it's not lower
To be fair it's not like Samon can do much other than that he's basically a Pokemon trainer and he does get tactical every now and then, from the latest chapter he let Nebiros get himself killed to summon him back in his proper form
But I wouldn't mind Samon summoning shit while Tesshi physically fights at all, I'd approve if anything
Regardless of if it's meant to be short for something, it's Asta, not Aster. The author officially confirmed it (it's even written in English in the Japanese volumes), but the Jaimini TL threatened to drop the series if they change it so they're still using Aster. Same for Juno, it's supposed to be Yuno.
This and the image of Teshi on ch. 50 made me rock hard.
An anime better give me doujins
You've failed me so many times Japan, I don't know if I can take another hit
>HiatusXHiatus is greyed out
Just kill me now.
>tfw you never doubted it
>tfw I always followed it whenever possible because I felt something special from it
What a ride in itself
It needs at least 2 series to do worse than it. So either Sesuji plummets below it or some pair of Amalgam, No. 01, Demon's Plan, or Ore Golazo to fail immediately. Also Gintama can save it if it ends at the right time. Maybe World Trigger being on indefinite hiatus can save it next time too.
Then it dipped again around the 40s for about good 8+ issue then rose back out of the bottom again. I'm glad, because I really like the series.
Why is everyone assuming WT isn't coming back?
They picked up All Out, Neverland, Rikudo, World Trigger, and they will priorities Gintama and possibly the new series that are coming on the next two weeks so Black Clover isn't happening
Take my (gigantic fucking) hand and we'll make I swear
Whoa-oh living on a prayer
Souma is safe for a long time. Even ignoring the fact that it's the fifth-best seller in the magazine, Bleach had years in the bottom before it ended. They also obviously gave notices to Toriko and Nisekoi because they started wrapping up about a year before their ends.
Souma would merit at least that much consideration, it will get a year or two to conclude if the ranks and sales really are irreversibly in decline.
>Why is everyone assuming WT isn't coming back?
Its just a meme
It will probably be out for a month and come back right before the year ends, Ashihara is not a lazyfuck like Togashi
It needs to be even luckier than Samon and Sesuji. Given World Trigger's unplanned hiatus, Red Sprite has a chance, just need to outperform Amalgam and Number One and outlast Gintama.
It had him confess to his crush in the second chapter uninterrupted and perfectly understood by the girl too. It then became just a typical harem despite that. Love Rush's highest rank was for its second chapter, it was 9th out of 15.
I will give it credit for using the "ubermale gene" to explain why women are literally unable to resist him instead of the usual "he's kind" bullshit every other series pulls. It also had a confession on the second chapter, then squandered what little innovation it had going for it.
An improvement in every way from E-ROBOT which was just painful
if I recall correctly REBORN! didn't start off too well when it was more or less a gag manga, but picked up thanks to Amano's art improving, pulling a 180 and making it a more conventional battle manga, and fujo's latching on in spades.
The author seems to enjoy doing rom-coms or ecchi series, which sucks because I like his art a lot but that man can not write to save his life. Maybe someone should write for him next time around.
I remember thinking similarly in regards to Yuki Tabata when Hungry Joker was a thing. Loved the premise and art, but the characters were shitty and the pacing horrendous
What was the last WSJ manga that looked like it could become as big as Big3 were in the past?
>Literally none of the new series are becoming popular.
Let me guess, your idea of popular is "let me look at how some Naruto volumes sold in the middle of their run and then apply that to every new manga"
>What was the last WSJ manga that looked like it could become as big as Big3 were
Literally none of them. Maybe Hunter x Hunter could have been one before it became known as that one meme hiatus series than any discussion of it's quality.
The Big 3 were known as they were (in America anyway) for as long as they were for a reason.
And on that note, Bleach was seriously never on OP or Naruto's level
Numa Shun, the mangaka behind Samon the Summoner.
>OP wasn't that popular in america until recently thanks to the 4 kids dub.
Yeah even though it was called one of the Big 3 it was way less popular than things like FMA2003, Death Note, Code Geass, and Inuyasha. What caused it's popularity to pick up? Was it just the Funimation dub?
Stop thinking about Naruto sales level. Naruto, OP and Bleach sold a lot because they are from a different era where there was no internet and all that shit we have today. Times change. Get over it. Apart from OP, HxH (90's series) and SnK, virtually no other series hits the million so fast.
Like >>149842419 said, it's ok. Pacing and dialogue are a little odd at times, and the setup for each arc has pretty much been the same after the
Forest of Deatharc. Personally Samon and Neverland are my two favorites to come out of the last year.
i wonder show spring weapon no 1 is doing
no one's talked about it since it's jump start run ended
i wish viz would have picked it up because the english weekly shonen jump really needs a comedy series
I enjoyed it slightly more that Amalgam, mostly due to the fact that I have a bit of an aversion to full-on edgelord shit. I thought the first two chapters were enjoyable--not so much the 3rd. I could see it going the Gintama route and becoming a comedy/action manga if it survives long enough.
Personally I feel the author should start using smaller panels to distribute better action scenes like he did in the first chapter. At least the pacing is bonkers enough to keep the plot moving, but at this rate the pages read as fast as mid-late Bleach and that doesn't satisfy me.
I feel sorry for Bleach and Toriko. Naruto got Lead CP and full color chapters and even got some portion of the cover page. bleach and toriko get center color and regular chapters. naruto got tributes bleach got shit.. gotta wait and watch what Toriko's gonna get
