I was interested when I heard it was trying a more serious arc, but it's just been stiff looking characters beating each other up in one-on-one fights, also for demons and angels, they don't have any interesting moves or powers. It's pathetic that Red Sprite was able to survive but only through circumstance. It's never left the bottom 3 once since it ranked. Gintama is one of my favorite manga (which is part of why I have an interest in other gag manga that from the raws clearly are just as interesting like Kochikame or Pyu to Fuku! Jaguar) but I feel like there's been quite a lot of chapters that are fucking dead or full of references that aren't "reader-friendly" and yet they've been translated...and to be clear, Minna no Kochikame is a miniseries where every chapter is like ten pages and crosses over with another popular manga, last week was Sket Dance...I don't see why those can't be translated, even if what I really want is Kochikame as a whole

The current arc started off promising, with a development that could created some great drama and tension if Tabata had simply let it linger for a few extra chapters, but he shat it all away with that whole instaheal BS a couple chapters ago. Now Asta back to doing what he always--"Swing muh around until I hit something". Like, honestly, the series is so repetitive that I'm earnestly tempted to drop it. Tabata is not a very good writer.

That aside, last was decent, so I guess we'll see if the coming chapters are enough to make for prior developments.
