Sorry lads, I never really had a keikaku. Reira was better the whole time. Oh and Zuzu died I think but let's leave that aside for now

Macross 7 was shit except for the opening, but it had an interesting niche: the main characters were part of a music group called "Fire Bomber" that released real albums.
Here's the first opening. It looks awesome, doesn't it? The animation is top-notch.
Let's upload them to a file sharing website, and after we have them all, we'll have to send them to someone's e-mail. There, they can be stored indefinitely and serve as a relatively safe (non-malware infested) source for the rips. They should be organized and once the collection is complete, organized into a RAR file.
Not him but if people get so "buttblasted" by other shit like gay Yurifag posts and CAC, why can't people just use filters instead of being at each other's throats like ridiculous edgelords?
Sakaki Yuya is
Tomato is your protagonists and you are going to like it even though the other three would have been better ones,
Yuya would have become great if he didn't forget everything he learned during synchro
My friend we are so beyond the time to debate who would make a better protagonist
I don't even feel like saying Yuzu to bait this into a gender argument
NO ONE would make a better protag in Arc-V because NO ONE was handled well in Arc-V
Not anyone who is STILL ALIVE at least
Possibly there may have been a slim chance, but the real root of the problem are the creatives behind the show in the first place. Considering how they treat the entire cast, including your favorites, are you so sure?
What about Yuri?
Can you imagine it? A sadist soldier of the attacking side of the war slowly learning what it is to have a heart and eventually turning sides to fight for what he believes in.
Or just Yuri being eveil n'shit
Nah nah, I'm saying that Yuri is the only one that hasn't been screwed over by the writing yet... wel, he and Yuto I think.
Yugo kind of got screwed over when he chose to go after Yuri instead of rescuing Rin
Yuri was kinda used as a running gag until 123 where he just started to get a bit of his character, during the final act of the series when the writers had mutiple opportunites.
Well, as much as he hasn't appeared or was focused on as the others, he also wasn't affected by the shitty writing as the others. Most of our cast was butchered, got their developement thrown outta the window or were reduced to damsel in distresses.
Anon, I can't argue with you
>he also wasn't affected by the shitty writing as the others
Having the only Academia character who isnt a massive jobber be irrelevant for dozens of episodes is shitty writing
Almost every ARC-V character has gone through this.
>Everybody was butchered or regressed their development from the preview arcs
His argument is that Yuri is better since they sidestepped that issue by not giving him any character or development to butcher. Which is dumb
Nono... well, kind of... Technically yes because if he got some sort of developement at this point he would have gotten butchered or screwed over by the writers, but my point is that the one he didn't get butchered.
>You need me to stop Zarc!
>There is no other way, I swear!
>Putting 4 dimensions of people in danger is the right thing to do!
>N-no I'm not evil! T-this is for the greater good!
She's the more cunning evil of the two. Zarc is just the dumb strong one.
No, not into that kind of thing. I mean like Sawatari. Sawatari lost by action card from Yugo, lost by Kaito just to show Kaito was strong, lost offscreen to the Tyler Sisters then nearly lost to the BB.
If Yuri actually lost it wouldn't be a problem. It would be if he lost by bullshit writing
Would be good if it was jsut a morally ambiguous thing Ray did. Like ''If you don't resurrect me, the 4 dimensions will be destroyed either way. With me, will at least minimize the casualties''
Unfortunately, it's not. When Reiji remarked about the 4 dimensions and their people, Ray had Reira play the "But our family!" card. Morally grey would have been a lot better than this.
Ahnon, hand over the (((You)))'s
Chaos Kek Ritual Dragon
ATK 2500 DEF 2000
LIGHT Dragon-type Ritual Effect Monster
This card can be Ritual Summoned using "Meme Magic of Shadilay". Once per thread, post this card in your opponent's view in order to trigger them. Once per thread, target a Level 5 or higher faggot: Banish that faggot face-down. Once per post: discard 2 cards, draw a 77 get.
Don't make fun of rituals! They already have been bullied enough already
Have Yuzu duel, shill, and win at least three times before the end of the show.
He actually has 2 cards: the one he drew from his most recent turn (he drew, then attacked, then ended) and the Covenant he added. Also consider that the duel didn't actually end, but was cut away from after attack declaration. I don't think Keikakuman is done just yet, at least I hope.
Yes, but they're infinitely better than the usual "you can only activate this card when the only face up attack position LIGHT monster you control is targeted by an attack by an opponents monster equipped with an equip card"
Previously in the ARC-V writers lounge:
>Couldn't we just have the card destroy the other spells and traps and activate the new ones from the deck?
>Nah. Let's just give the one card two card's effects
>Good idea! By the way, we should thank the GX staff. These drugs are amazing!
>Dude, what if we gave Phantom Knights a rank 2?
Yuzu is yuzless and her duels have been boring or off-screened ever since the latter half of Standard. Literally no character could save the show at this point with how poor the foundation of the show is
So when did anime stop caring about having good animation? Was it when everything went digital and CGI became cheap?
Very good, Reiji! I see you haven't forgotten how to put aside anything you can't legitimately explain!
>swiggity swoozu comin' for dat yuzu
>you never got Reiji annihilating Jack to assert himself the True King of Synchro
>you never got Reiji slaughtering Kaito a la St. George Killing the Dragon
>you never got Reiji mandating Edo to bend the knee and abandon Academia
>you never got Reiji
The Hikokubo way would be Darius having a second effect that can only be activated with less then 1k LP and by discarding a Dark Contract that was added to the hand this turn to negate all damage from one battle.
"You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Dark Contract" card you control; destroy it, and if you do, add 1 "Dark Contract" card from your Deck to your hand. If this card would be destroyed by battle, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead, and if you do, destroy the opponent's monster it battled, and if you do that, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. When this card is sent the Graveyard: You can discard 1 "Dark Contract" card in your hand, then target 1 card your opponent controls; shuffle your Deck."
He just doesn't wanna be the middle child.
There is nothing wrong with being in the middle.
>Ruri is going to die next episode
>Shun isn't even there to see it
>Reira doesn't see it
>Yuya doesn't see it
>Shun doesn't see it
>Yugo doesn't see it
>wakes up in a utopia
>Ray nee-san is there to greet him
Could have been worse.
So Zarc is going to turn out to be a good guy while Leo and Ray are lying, right?
"But I don't understand, father! You said that Zarc fused with his Dragons to destroy the original dimension!"
"Kid magic ain't real like lol what the fuck you on"
And Reiji was outkeikaku'd again
The sad part about the hotels is that having the lancers stuck TOGETHER in a hotel room would actually be a great and easy way to get them to interact with each other constantly for the 10-15 eps of hotels.
But it's evident that based on the lack of budget and sheer laziness, that they just didn't care to use the opportunity they had for something like that.
>Apprantely A5 is on CrunchyRoll now
What the fuck took them so long? It took even longer than Dragon Ball Super, and at least DBS had the excuse of Funimation having problems with Toei.
The big revelation is that all 3 of them constitute a basket of deplorables, Zarc and Ray's fragments (besides Yuri) are each 10x better as people than their originals, and the original dimension deserved to be ended anyway.
Bracelet was just a convenient and lazy device to delay exposition longer than what's rationally needed. But the show concluding that the original dimension is just too shit and we should go back would be kind of amusing
>tfw you remember that Sora was Yuzu's Number One Teacher
>tfw you remember that Sora was supposed to protect Yuzu in Fusion instead of Asuka existing
>tfw you remember that Sora was going to hold off Yuri so Yuzu could escape
>tfw you remember Yuri was going to unleash Super Fusion on Sora, who had been gearing up for an OTK using the new Fluffal support
>tfw you remember the Nips were going to lose their shit seeing Sora get thoroughly BTFO by Predator Plants
>I never really had a keikaku
Don't worry, we knew that all along
But this time he "praised" his opponent as 'surpassing him' instead of the silent mood he had on episode...10?
Fuck, we've had Yuzu making herself a rival and a manly Synchro duel back then.
Unless he has long eye vision he isn't seeing shit.
I have a feeling that somehow, SOMEHOW, Yuya will be there while Zarc is also there. Ray and Yuzu too. Maybe the final duel will all take place in Zarc's and Ray's heads.
Kinda like Roxas and Sora fighting each other in Kingdom Hearts II, if you'd forgive my wretched reference
So where did the sonic halberd come from? Given by Ray?
>Worse than ZEXAL
As far as the current arc goes, it's certainly worse than the best parts of zexal by a fucking mile.
But, I'd still consider it entertaining in a way (unlike the absolute worst parts of Zexal)
So, it's hard to really gauge in that manner. It's no longer a good show, that's for sure though. The show's last real hurrah was synchro climax from 93-99 before it fell to complete shit in XYZ arc and its last "good" eps currently were 117 and 123-125 respectively (all surrounded by pretty shit eps)
Yeah, if they imitate Zexal maybe they get to the point this whole change on the characters is personalities is just them acting OOC due to stress instead of the writers forgeting their personalities and intelligence
>complains to Nakajima that all your cards are thrash
>Nakajima makes you some new ones in secret, because he is a bro
>hide them from nii-sama, as to not trigger him
>keep them in reach if the need arrives
>The show's last real hurrah was synchro climax from 93-99
They had Yuya and Yuzu reunite at 99 and I enjoyed that immensely, but then the bullshit with the dimensions come up again. Oh well.
I don't really see it.
Nothing Reira does really reminds me of Zexal. It's more like an 8 year old card game version of eva shinji growing some balls and not getting buried for it.
I'm really curious what reminds you of zexal though.
>Yugo vs. evil Rin
>Yuri vs Asuka & Yuya/Yuto vs. Ruri/Serena
Man, makes me want to just jump into those episodes. Sounds like a decent set of duels. The "Yuzus being evil" thing in particular stood out to me.
I've checked and I dropped out of regular weekly watch of ARC-V after episode 79 because I can't handle the end of Shinji vs Yuya duel. Are there episodes that I can skip from 80 on?
>because I can't handle the end of Shinji vs Yuya duel
Poor Shinji, he was the first sign the writers started to stop caring. On paper he is good, a revolutionary charismatic and shit. But in practice he bemace little more than a SJW extremist.
Still better than normal SJW because instead of being all talk and blabbering, he actually tried to do something
>The "Yuzus being evil" thing in particular stood out to me.
Yuzu's being "evil" literally turned out to be nothing since the doctor controlling them just gets carded by Leo without a proper duel, only thing that came out of it was card shilling
But it made them even hotter.
>only thing that came out of it was card shilling
And some interesting fanart.
we need more of this
Other than Raging Dragons debut (Which could've appeared in a different situation), the sub plot was practically redundant. The writers probably felt like it was the best time to throw in last minute flashbacks for shippers.
Yugo/Rin is a lot of fun.
Yuya/Yuto vs Ruri/Serena is also fun.
Really, you could probably have fun by watching XYZ arc from 101-106 and then skipping to 117. All that happens in-between is transitional stuff that leads to the lancers reuniting after being separated by dimensional shit and finally heading to academia (and a shit resolution to XYZ arc where everyone becomes friends in like half an ep, but that's why you skip half of XYZ arc).
Basically since you want to continue:
Finish Synchro arc fully (ep 92 is complete dogshit, but 93-99 are very good)
Watch 117 & 123-125
Skip 118-122. There is nothing worthwhile for you there.
And then go from there if you wish.
Rin is pure! PURE!
She just needs a bit of semen once in a while
yeah good luck
I have tried but there's not a single music piece that can be completed that way
unless you use audacity, but again
you'd need good sources to prevent audio scratching
Yuya vs Ruris isnt good.
The Ruris dont even use their decks, Yuto somehow takes over, Hikokubo all over your face and Yuya takes action card spam to a whole different level when the Ruris dont even try to take one. The duel is resolved by Yuya pulling a new boss monster and the Ruris dont get unbrainwashed and run away essentially making the episode meaningless.
Yugo vs evil Rin is only worth it because of Rin at last ending the banana and Yuri vs Asuka because of Yuri reaching 100% smug levels.
to a certain extent
vocal isolation will be smoother and preserve the stereo, and get rid of all scratches
raws are just worse for that
Buuuuut, it will still eliminate some background noises
which in my case I painstakingly extracted myself and inserted as a separate layer (and then let audacity fuse it together)
unfortunately some tracks just arent used often enough
and the last ten episodes have had voice echoes everywhere because they are always inside buildings
so some tracks will still have voices regardless
>Why isn't this a wallpaper
Fuck yourself Konami
Yuzu's absolute territory does things to my D
She hasn't been wearing this outside the EDs for such a long time. I hope at the end she'll get this costume back for a duel or something. Doesn't even have to be a meaningful duel.
In hindsight, I'm so fucking glad that nothing of real importance happened in 118-122 aside the travesty that was Tsukikage's death and the one moment each where Gon and Sawatari did things in 120 before being shelved to shill nostalgia and glads.
It makes them easily the most skippable eps aside 19-20.
I'll always be pissed of what they did with Sawatari but I honestly won't have mind Gon being carded(though he could have won the duel by summoning his previous Synchros instead of using a new one) because it showed real emotion risk and Yuya seeing his best friend get carded would have pushed him over the edge until Jack arriving out of nowhere fucked it all up. Even the line Gon said about "If I protected Yuya, a miracle would come by" instantly ruining anything they were going with because it was basically hammering more in that Yuya is EGAO Messiah.
I liked it when Jack called out on Yuya's entame duels in the Sychro arc, but Jack praised Yuya's entame in the duel against BB, and I honestly don't know the difference between the two entame styles.
It should of been at least two duels a day and everyone is together in a hotel room or they just choose to go into whichever room that fits the episode/character relationship.
I mean I know Dennis needed some support after killing himself over a card game, only knew the stranger lancers for like two days, and that no one knows each other except for their first name and summoning method.
Filler really saved the other series when bonding is concerned.
Yuya's entame was never his own because when he finally stopped sucking off his deadbeat not-dada, his entame was what he learned from everyone else, which isn't someone's personal entame. Everything he's done later wasn't different from whatever the fuck he did before which was uneventful and uninspiring dueling gymnastics and showboating.
If he wins, I wonder how they're going to go with "Reira making his own light" theme.
I mean there are various ways it's not his own light, from Ray (literally fucking 'ray') motivating him, to that card being from Reiji, but if they're going to go with "Reiji now has his own light and not just reflecting or absorbing others' light" then I want to see where it goes
I know people said that next series will probably go back to being like Zexal due to ratings and won't go back to the likes of Arc V or 5D's.
But didn't Zexal get pretty dark later on with a couple of actual deaths, backstabbing and all that?
If anything actually mattered, his true self was Berserk mode or Zarc himself.
The only Yuya I'll ever admire because he actually dueled the way most of the MC's have been doing since forever.
However, Zexal is more shounen-ish than the other series, which may have been why it was so well-received in Japan more than others. In my opinion, it's my favorite even though it was the most childish, I think it's something to do with characters and/or the whole adventure thing.
I dunno why though
Hell, if Zarc!Yuya was a genuinely destructive evil force who obliterated those who did him wrong, then that'd be a return to the very early Yami as well, to the first few volumes of this entire franchise.
The thing is since GX and Zexal were the only spin-offs that received positive conception because of their goofy and positive vibes in the beginning, it would always grab the audience's attention.
But every series went dark in the second half so it basically depends on the decent writing at the time and quality animation.
Arc V has neither of these except for the occasional Ebina episode.
That actually is some good plot where he becomes a peaceful duelist at the end of the series after carding/killing his foes just like Papa Zarc.
It would be nice a nice throwback to early Yami like Zexal did with Yuma and Astral.
Zexal didn't really have much decent writing, even in its later parts. A lot of the stuff it had was rushed as fuck. It DID make up for it with competent animation and actually setting up the villains long enough in advance to get the audience to maybe care about them and additionally having a couple relationships (examples: Yuma/Shark friendship, IV/Shark friendship) that did work, even in spite of its overall shit pacing at certain parts like with Shark's barian shit.
I can't stand zexal, but I can acknowledge that much.
Arc-V had the makings of these things, but it failed to establish proper villains aside Sergey/Roger before or after Roger was removed. And Edo's miniarc completely damaged academia's credibility even moreso. And the lack of that and the issue of character interaction (or the lack thereof from mid synchro to now) are what make this show struggle now.
For instance: If BB was introduced as a threat in like ep 90 and kept as a semi-consistent threat until the final confrontation in 118-122, with the lancer having a COUPLE more eps to flesh out their relationships, that would've been genuinely gripping. As is, it's a garbage waste of time.
Even Gandharva from Kubera shows remorse by his actions. Leo is going to kill at least 3 girls, the population of a whole dimension AND on top of that left his family without saying a remorse, he isn't a good dad
Why would the lives of people who aren't Leo's family factor into whether he's a good dad or not?
Leaving the family without saying a word is a bit fucked, but he actually left his family very well off and made sure to keep them out of trouble. Whereas Yusho left his son as a complete laughingstock.
Because he also isn't taking into account what his daughter truly wants. And in focusing so much into her, he left the rest of his family. He doesnt show any bit of remorse and regret in what he does as well.
What was the point of giving Odd-Eyes the same heterochromia pattern as Judai possessed by Yubel and giving his real upgraded form the name "Supreme King" in a series where there's a baddie trying to fuse all of the dimensions together?
Doesn't this dumbass scheme kill people?
And more people then what he started with?
And his son and wife?
I mean his wife is an A1 milf and he rejects her for daughter pussy I guess?
After regaining his memories, Leo prioritized his daughter over his new made family (Reiji and Himika) which is somewhat understandable, but not consulting to them or apologizing to them before heading off to the fusion dimension is just wrong.
After he meets Reiji in the fusion dimension, he asks him to work together to revive Ray, and after Reiji rejects his offer, (which is a logical decision) he insults him by calling bim second rate.
He is definitely not a good father figure, and I'm disappointed that the writers couldn't develop a better background for him.
It seems like Yuya vs. Yuri is really going to happen right before MAXC releases, giving us the cover card for it.
Place your bets, what is the new ace in Yuya v. Yuri/MAXC cover card going to be?
>Odd-Eyes Venom Fusion Pendulum
The closest we got to chin is Sawatari in his duel with Yugo
I fell behind at the start of XYZ (I think just before Yuya fought Edo). Could anyone give me a list of important/good episodes since then so I can catch up and ride this shit show to the finish?
I'd ask for ones with good Shingo ones as well, but I doubt there are any are there?
As far as I know it was never scanned
You've got it wrong. OEPD's eyes are supposed to represent the two Pendulum Scales, and the "Supreme King" in OERD and OERaD's names is a reference to Zarc, who is a reference to Supreme King Judai.
I wouldn't be surprised if the CWSD/SVFD fusion had Supreme King in its name too.
That's what nips on 2ch said based on their experience at YGO exhibition where they were selling goods. All the Arc-V ones weren't selling as well so they had discount markers on them. I don't think there's any official sales record of the merchandise sold or none that I could find.
End yourself Ono.
>Chronos. Jaeger's voice makes my ears bleed.
Yes, but Chronos' level of Italian stereotyping is so high it makes real life Italians cringe.
I kinda found Jaeger's dub voice to be even more annoying than in the original, but have you ever listened Chronos' dub voice? It's so squeaky high and feminine!
Mamma Mia, Pasta, Parmesan Cheese.
No, Chronos' behavior does. Italians are one of the most stereotyped people in Europe. Everyone knows one or two clichés about them, but Chronos is on a whole other level.
Just goes to show how detached from western countries Japan is.
When they first see Chronos people are all like : that must be either a transgender, a gay guy or a crossdresser.
Truth: Chronos is a 100% straight male.
Now how would Chronos act if he was gay?
Anyone got the related Yuma screencap?
Tie between him and Shun for
Why is Dusktopia so fucking underwhelming.
It's a boss monster made with another boss monster.
>Oh we can make D HEROs have an anti-destruction effect.
>But uh, let's not make it good or anything. Instead, let's make it so that they can only prevent one monster from getting popped.
>Who cares that Cardians have an EASIER boss to play that protects the ENTIRE ARCHETYPE (including itself) and DOESN'T ACTIVATE
GX support has been pretty shit compared to literally everyone else's support.
No seriously, the D-HERO's as ugly they are and not looking like the GX D-HERO's, at least support the archetype.
Photon/Galaxies only got Cipher Dragon and Chipher Blade Dragon, and they lie in the extra deck, even though the original Zexal archetypes would have preferred new cards in the main deck.
Gonna go with "you're full of shit". You're trying to make it look like GX got the short end of the stick when Masked HEROs and Cyber Angels exist.
5D's actually has it worse. Scarlight and Tyrant are the only good legacy support cards for 5D's.
Blackwings got a lot of new synchros, using around 9 of them in the anime and with around 5 of them making it to the actual card game.
Even if half of them is useless (like the triplet bird synchros), that's more synchros than Crow used in the 5D's anime, which is a bit too much.
Arc-V Jack also used Red Resonater, which is probably the best Resonater card he ever had used in both anime series, and Red Sprinter is a okay card. Everything else he used is too situational.
Nah I'm choosing rival characters based off of marketing. Kaito is usually marketed as Yuma's rival and Reiji for Yuya even if they don't technically fulfill that role in the show.
I'll leave out DM since Konami will print literally anything and everything to give them support since nostalgiabux.
E-HEROs are unplayable and always have been. They've gotten no good support in over a decade, outside of Shadow Mist, which helps literally every other HERO build more. No, M-HEROs don't count since they're designed as an entirely separate deck and don't really play nice with the E-HEROs anyway.
Neos. I'll leave it at that.
D-HEROs are STILL just an engine at best and STILL have no good, reliable beatstick to fall back on. Dystopiaguy is abhorrent since his effect trigger is shit, even in a deck revolving around triggering it, and Dusktopia is a joke of an upgrade.
I'll give you Cyber Angels, but you can make any deck good by slapping a bunch of ridiculous extra effects on the cards that they never had in the anime.
Jack's deck is leagues more playable now that the Reds can combine with the Resonators. It's not hard to go from "completely unplayable trash" to "Playable", but it's a drastic change regardless. Casuals wanting to build theme decks now don't have to go "well we'll skip Jack" and can actually build something.
The ED Assault Blackwings open up a lot more options, and there's a couple Maindeck cards for them that aren't bad, either. The IRL version of Raikiri leaves some things to be desired, but it's still not terrible.
Kaito's new Ciphers make a much more cohesive deck than Photon/Galaxies, and don't require you to go "Okay, do I need to search the 2000+ ATK monsters or the Lv 8 monsters", just going "I'm going to toolbox for Lv 4s and then turn them into 8s as I please". It's a sidegrade of sorts, but still perfectly playable in its own right.
Jack had 33 duels in 5D's and we couldn't build a proper Jack deck until the Hi-Speed Riders Booster., which was like 4 years after the 5D's anime ended.
I'm not sure if I should be disappointed in the anime staff, the OCG/TCG staff, or both.
You're full of shit on Ciphers and obviously haven't played Galaxy Photons. You don't search the 2000+ ATK monsters. You summon Galaxy-Eyes through effects. Not by using its effect. Ciphers are trash and barely have any cards.
>You're trying to make it look like GX got the short end of the stick when Masked HEROs and Cyber Angels exist.
Masked Heroes are shit, it's just Dark Law being a broken floodgate against most of the decks in the game.
Cyber Angels aren't even worth a damn but an engine to turbo out Herald of Cuckoldry but look how well that turn out.
And EmEM were Tier 0 and yet they only used about 7 total Performapal cards MAYBE.
What's your point? Using one or two cards in an archetype doesn't make a deck centralized around that archetype good.
I disagree with Ciphers being more cohesive than Photon/Galaxies.
The Cipher archetype focuses on having/manipulating 2 monsters with the same name (At least in the anime), whipping out Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, and finishing the opponent by using Neo-Cipher.
It's a good concept, but the main problem with this is that Ciphers don't have any monsters whose original level is 8. This makes the deck too reliant on Cipher Wing and Twin Raptor, and twin raptor limiting the monsters you can use.
The monsters and RUM are easily searchable, but they are not too useful in the long run.
It MAY be slightly better than Photons, but it is definitely weaker than Galaxies.
Photon and Galaxies are compatible with each other, by sharing support cards like Galaxy Expedition and Accel Light, and having GEPD possess both names of the archetype.
This isn't true with Ciphers, which makes combining the decks very impractical.
Next you'll say Frogs are broken because of Toadally Awesome being a thing or even Ice Barriers are good because of Brionac and Trishula.
One broken card in an archetype does not make it a good archetype and Masked HERO is certainly no exception to this rule when you look at the rest of the archetype
So? What does EmEM have to do with this? You expect archetypes with nearly 100 cards to use them all? EmEM were good and got hit by the list. Elemental Heroes were good and got power creeped then hit by the list. Being an engine in the case of D-Heroes isn't a bad thing. They powered some of the best decks ever that wouldn't have functioned without them.
The point is that just because specific archetype cards with generically good effects are good competitively doesn't mean that the deck they were designed for isn't a pile of steaming garbage.
Seriously, if your deck has over 100+ cards to work with and you can't come up with SOMETHING decently playable made of 40 cards, then your archetype is shit, even if you have a literal "I win" button within that archetype.
Ciphers are fucking terrible with Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon being the exception. I mean look at this shit
You really can't read, can you? The point isn't that Dark Law is a HERO card. It's irrelevant.
What matters is that HEROs can access it easily because all they to do is special summon Shadow Mist.
What made EMEm broken? Its ability to access Ptolemaeus Cyber Dragon Infinity, Rafflesia, Naturia Beast, Number 38... while creating card advantage.
What makes HEROs good? Their ability to access Dark Law and Rafflesia without losing advantage. It's a no-brainer.
I'd argue that Change cards are great to, because they allow for quick OTKs and instant removal.
That's a shitty point. Heroes have always made something decent with 40 card decks. Archetypes weren't created in the past the same way they are today. They had to rely on other cards. Even decks like Nekroz used other cards like Denko to cover for things they couldn't do alone. Every deck ever uses cards outside of the archetype because archetypes don't cover for everything. Archetypes like Heroes and EmEM are built with casuals in mind and not competitive players. Yet they still had really good cards and had to be mutilated by the list. You're either new to the game or retarded.
Heroes were good long before Dark Law and Rafflesia. They used to be able to out grind nearly everything then smack you with Miracle Fusion which was considered the best top deck in the game back then.
>all the staples in DM and BLS and CED were used in Chaos

There, that's most of what the anime gave us IRL. If I missed anything, let me know
Kaito gave us this beauty.
They've barely gotten cards these days and were powercreeped. Konami doesn't like people clinging onto past decks which is why they destroy them. They want you to buy new cards. The new D-Heroes are terrible. Everyone knows that. The deck is terrible these days. But that doesn't take away from what it once was.
>An archtype that came out like 10 years ago isnt Tier 1
So fucking what? Hero players are so fucking entitled, they get hundreds of cards and tons of formats where they make an appearance but that isnt enough
Your argument is assuming that my position is that archetype-focused decks can't or shouldn't use generic cards from outside the archetype to do things. And if that was my argument, I'd agree that I'm either new or retarded.
My position is that in the category of "making old character-related and archetype-centric decks playable in modern casual play", GX has gotten the shorter end of the stick. Have they gotten stuff? Sure. Has some of it been good stuff that breathes new life into these old decks? Very little.
E-HEROs aren't even playable by modern casual standards. Crystal Beasts are still a joke despite the Pendulum Support (that TCG STILL hasn't gotten almost 2 years later). D-HEROs can't accomplish anything without borrowing somebody else's endgame plan or ripping into Plasma (and now Dystopia I guess). If you think these decks are fine as they are, then YOU are either new or retarded.

The worse part about HERO players, and fans of GX archetypes in general is that they manage to be angry at fans of other series because "they got better cards" when DM is the only series that had any representation at Worlds. We're all in the same shoes.
>and fans of GX archetypes in general is that they manage to be angry at fans of other series because "they got better cards"
I'm pretty sure GX had the best support out of all the legacy decks.
If you mean to tell me that Red-eyes, Dark Magician, Buster Blader, Black Luster Soldier and Magnet Warriors are better than Toadally Awesome turbo or Darklords you'd be dead wrong.
>"making old character-related and archetype-centric decks playable in modern casual play"
Which Heroes can do just fine.
>GX has gotten the shorter end of the stick. Have they gotten stuff? Sure. Has some of it been good stuff that breathes new life into these old decks? Very little.
Have all gotten support with Cyber Angels being introduced. 5Ds and possibly Zexal have gotten the short end of the stick with 5Ds only giving Jack a playable deck in casuals and Crow getting some cards. No other 5Ds characters have really gotten support. No Aki, the twins, Kiryu, Bruno or any of the villains. Zushin got printed but it isn't making any splashes and it more for collectors.
>E-HEROs aren't even playable by modern casual standards.
You can run Omni Heroes, Electrum or even Hero Alive in casuals.
>D-HEROs can't accomplish anything without borrowing somebody else's endgame plan
Whose end game plan?
>If you think these decks are fine as they are, then YOU are either new or retarded.
For casuals they're fine. Even competitively E-Heroes still get tops. D-Heroes actually just topped some European events.
You miss the point as to why they're angry. People are happy with Cyber Angels. People are pissed that the new D-Heroes are complete garbage and don't even function properly with the deck. They have random effects like Volcanic Guy or do something another card does better like Drill Guy. The Fusion trap is the worst fusion card ever printed. Blackwings got cards that make them better. Jack has a functioning deck now. Kaito has new boss monsters. Cyber Angels are a deck now. Destiny Heroes got nothing.
Still, most of the legacy support is trash. I think GX fans are really entitled because they're the only ones complaining. Is Konami supposed to hold you guys to a higher standard?
>It proves that DM had the best legacy support during that particular era.
>Black Luster Soldier
>any of these decks good
You'll get Blue-eyes but you need to remember that they botched the consistency with this one so it can lose to anything, even Madolches at Worlds.
ABC was the deck they did right but Metalfoes was cucking it over in OCG before the banlist and then Zoodiacs came out and pushed it out. It's below Noids and still tieing with weakened Metalfoes.
It needs to use monsters from the hand too instead of just the field. At that point why wouldn't I go for Starve Venom instead of Dystopia Guy?
>I think GX fans are really entitled because they're the only ones complaining.
Because they're the ones who got screwed over. Most of the new Blackwings being crap doesn't mean that people aren't happy with the good new cards. Jack got a couple good cards and Scarlight is a damn staple in decks that can go level 8 Synchro. The new Galaxy-Eyes are amazing. The new D-Heroes don't do anything for the deck. The deck needed a direction. It has tons of draw power with Allure/DDraw and even Trade-in but nothing to do with it. The new monsters don't help the deck. The new spell/traps don't help the deck. The deck needed good boss monsters. Retrained DED and Bloo-D.
Depends. If the Buster Blader player starts first and opens well, it's an instant win for them. But if the Blue-Eyes player starts first, searches Veiler and sets Solemn Strike, it's over for the BB player because the deck can't recover from disruption.
D-HEROs are trash but you've still got Cyber Angels, which a functional deck. That's a luxury Zexal fans cannot afford because all of Kaito's main deck cards suck and his new Galaxy-Eyes cards can only be used by Blue-Eyes and D/D/D to an extent.
The Cipher Dragons are good in Zexal Kaito's deck, but it feels like it benefited other decks like the Blue-Eyes and D/D decks you mentioned, more than Galaxies/Photon decks which is just sad.
About the D-HERO's, I would have preferred if the new ones centered on supporting high leveled D-HERO's rather than fusion summoning one, Bloo-D and Dogmaguy should still be viable today with just the right support.
I wanted the dub to at least be tolerable just because he seemed like a cool guy
>Tfw if I ever met him at a con i'd never be able to sincerely say I enjoyed his work and play a RaidRuri mirror match against him
He sucks. His Dennis is like a worse version of Pegasus. Coincidentally, Pegasus' dub VA does Roger, whose voice sucks in the dub.
Shipman is the only one whose able to speak as if it's natural, not from a script, for about 90% of the time, and generally that other 10% is because of horrible writing making the sentence structure awkward. Back when Shun first fought the LDS Trio and we went nutso over Nossan shouting "ORE NO TAAAAN", the Nips were impressed with Shipman shouting, "IT'S MY TURN".
>how everyone gets shafted post synchro
Fixed for you
Yeah he does. He watches the show weekly. He might be like 2-3 episodes behind, but he was making jokes about how Shun teleported during Ruri's duel only a few days after the fact.
I'm thankful that Shun at least was fully developed as a character (albeit in a somewhat half-assed way) before he was thrown aside.
He's one of the few characters I felt actually grew completely without regressing abruptly post-synchro.
In the TCG/OCG, Kaito is often treated as the main rival of Zexal so I guess this only counts his duels and not Shark.
I believe Shark has dueled around 30 times in the show, and he definetely fits the rival criteria. This is one of the good aspects of Zexal, that both rivals are well established.
What're you talking about? The YGOpro I've had since before the mass exodus still has updates down to the day. Pretty sure they've even got a stable Dusktopia up now.
When I open it, it says, "There's a new update available. Check the website [link] to download it."
How would I re-enable it if I did? I don't remember there ever being such an option.
