Secondly, the point of fusion is to multiply their powerlevel by a ridiculous amount. So while Buu was really fucking strong and had absorbed gohan, it wasn't as strong as a fusion between to extremely strong characters.

7/10. I think the pacing was the biggest flaw. I feel like the whole "let's fight Black and Zamasu, oh no we lost let's go back and train, let's go fight them again, oh no we lost let's go back and train..." thing was poor pacing. I sorta wish we'd had a better buildup to the final confrontation (maybe Zamasu could've recruited other sympathetic gods to his cause, his reasoning for just killing all of them was pretty weak to begin with; Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks could've had to fight them before fighting Zamasu and Black). I also feel like the human survivors were poorly built up, I can't even remember the kids' names and they were the most built upon original characters when it came to the survivors. Maybe give us more from their perspective, or maybe let us follow mostly one or two and see what being a normal survivor was like from their point of view.

I liked Zamasu (and by extension Black) though. Well, I hated Zamasu, but for all the right reasons a writer wants me to hate him for. He was one of the better villains Dragonball has had.

These last two episodes have been terrible in an unbelievably stupid way.

The power levels might have been stupid and crazy in DBZ but at least the power held by each individual character in relation to all the other characters in a given arc was consistent.

In the ending part of this arc, ever since the moment Zamasu and Black fused all the power levels were inconsistent as all hell in ways that made no god damn sense. Vegeta, Trunks and Goku being able to stand up to fused Zamasu made no sense and it would have been much better writing to have him completely kick their asses to force them into fusing into Vegito. Then when they did fuse into Vegito they were still having a hard time with him despite being many times stronger than Vegeta, Goku or Trunks were because fusion is supposed to cause an exponential increase in power.

You can't have Vegeta and Goku being able to stand up to Zamasu unfused then have Vegito only be on equal footing with him. When Goku and Vegeta fused in Z against a Buu who had absorbed Gohan and was far more powerful than either of them they became so much stronger that they wiped the floor with him.

As an aside here, putting a time limit on Potara fusion as a retcon purely for the purpose of serving the plot when there is already a method of fusion with a time limit that exists in the series is absolutely retarded and lazy.

Then to put the icing on the shit cake that was the end of this arc we have Trunks come out of nowhere and pull a retarded amount of power out of his ass to kill Zamasu despite the fact that fucking Vegito THE FUSION OF GOKU AND VEGETA WHO ARE INDIVIDUALLY SUPPOSED TO BE MUCH STRONGER THAN TRUNKS could not finish him off without any real explanation (Trunks doesn't know how to use the Spirit Bomb, further none of the earthlings were even trying to give him their power).

I mean seriously, Dragonball has always had asspulls but this is much more than that, this ending was pure, unfiltered bullshit.
