I seriously can't believe it's been 4 years since the movie though. Even Hikari's VA had barely debuted when this show was (sort of) announced let alone the unknowns voicing some of them.

I'm watching Strike Witches a bit between Brave Witches and... BW is better to me. Animation is way more fluid and detailed, and I find the story more interesting and better paced.

On the waifu front, both are decent. SW has nudity, but BW's better animation and butt shots pretty much make up for it.

Well, you're not wrong, but for me that alone doesn't rank her past the old squad witches. It's just that the writing accommodates more her than now the sidelined 502nd witches..

I loved this episode.
The fact that they're not afraid to keep pushing how the Neruoi and magic work are really making Brave Witches stand along side Strike Witches rather than just being the shitty spin off.
But why didn't they just fly over the clouds to avoid the blzzard?

While they're not afraid, the neuroi fights themselves are rather garbage, nothing stands out as memorable and they're over very quick and the animation is dull for them too.
The previous episode whale neuroi was nice design wise, this weather neuroi was really ehh though. All around boring and shit fights compared to Strike Witches even if the glimmering moments like Sadako and friends taking down a neuroi with improvised weapons is fun, the execution lacks in everything.
Maybe the neuroi could've fly up to 10k meters and the witches weren't just testing that out as they'd have hard time battling there to begin with. Also the neuroi stopped using beams as defensive weapon when witches got close to it which was really weird.
